Wait, are you people actually trying to say Liam's lyrics haven't improved between Little James and Wigwam? This place makes me despair. I thought the idea was that he improved drastically from Little James to Heathen Chemistry and then hasn't improved much since then.

I think so, but it all depends on what your definition of "classic" is, doesn't it?

Thought I'd revive this for Cheeky For A Reason, their new album. What does everyone think? I feel like it's slightly too polished for its own good, but I do like it. Not quite there with Bread & Circuses, I don't think.

I'm honestly sick of hearing about these guys. I'm just glad Noel (and most of his fans, it seems) have come to the realization that they're burnt-out one-trick ponies who have each taken one too many tabs.

Damn it, I thought this was the leak thread. Huge Killers fan. I really want to see them on this tour, since I've never seen them and the Royal Albert Hall DVD is amazing.

Oh Love's all right, but it's true that the melody doesn't quite do what I think Billie Joe wanted, if he really was going for a power pop tune. Also, I actually like Kill The DJ. The surf guitars are really cool and the melody there is actually infectious.

Unreal how awesome Noel is here. His vocals are more powerful than ever and he's grown into his frontman position. Fantastic. Utterly fantastic.

Well, if I could have 1995 Liam sing them then sure. But modern Liam? I don't know if any of them would be improved, to be quite honest.

It would sound ridiculous, sorry...playing songs you didn't write... Honestly, I think Noel' backing vocals will be missed a lot. yeah, tell that to fans of Elvis or Michael Jackson or Elton John or Sinatra... come on dude... Michael Jackson wrote songs. Elton co-wrote everything: he wrote all the music and every melody. And that's a different situation with the other two, seeing as they're solo artists and Liam is not. He's in a new band, which is completely different.

"The Oasis refugee's wackiest moment ever: loping folk rock with Beatles-Kinks orchestrations and paranoid lyrics that add up to pub-rant poetry." Is that a compliment?? sounds like the usual highfalutin rolling stone daddy rocker/ grateful deadhead trying to pigeonhole a perfectly good piece of music... Why don't they just say what they really mean.. "It's okay it's not as good as the ZEP though...and EARLY zeppelin!" That list needs more big haired american indie bands that no one gives a shit about. What a weird fucking post. I'll break it down a bit: 1) Every rock journalist tries to pigeonhole and over-describe every piece of music they hear. Every. One. 2) Rolling Stone is infamous for bashing Zeppelin. They still take shit for that. 3) Big-haired American indie bands? What the fuck does that even mean? Who are these big-haired American indie bands you speak of?

I'd just like to make it clear that not all English folk are like J.B.... Yeah, I think most of us recognize that. It's unfortunate that some people on here feel the need to act like Liam...they all end up looking like clueless twats.

i don't listen to her music intentionally, but when it comes on the radio i quite like it. good pop music I agree, I'd take her over Lady Gaga any day. Yep. You know exactly what you're getting when she releases another single (how many are there from the current album? 8?) but they're always catchy, well-produced, and well-written. Not inspiring or anything, but it's pleasant ear candy.

I'm really extremilly shocked by what you've just said. If it's outrageous to say that to me. I'm a very tolerant person (maybe not that much about music), I just like artists I rexpect to stay people I rexpect, I don't see how it makes me suddenly homophobic. You're really should be ashamed of saying such things. Goodness. I said "like" is a simile. Obviously the way that you are "like" them I obviously mean objecting to something based on taking it to the catastrophic extreme NOT that you are homophobic. You really are simple. It's like me saying that someone is acting like a chimp and them turning to me and saying "are you saying I am abnormally hairy...HOW DARE YOU!!" Yeah, not the point dear. I can't stop grinning at this. K+ for being the voice of reason in so many threads I see.

Does he write some good tunes? Yeah. Is he a fraud? Yes. He is seriously the biggest phony in music. He goes on with his politics and his working class roots and yet asks 100.00 dollars for a seat to one of his shows. Not only that but how does he sqaure up songs he wrote such as "Born in the USA" and "The Ghost of Tom Joad" with his actions. Isnt this the same guy who gave Wal-Mart the sole rights to release a 12-track anthology? He should open for Noel Gallagher if anything. Not a fraud. He's still an insanely humble guy. I have some family ties to him and he's definitely not some glitzy showman masquerading as a blue-collar guy. That's just who he is. Watch an interview with him if you don't believe me. He squirms if anyone heaps praise on him, even after all these years. You started rambling a bit toward the end...I fail to see how Born In The USA or The Ghost Of Tom Joad conflict with "his actions"? Seriously, the guy is a legend for a reason. Maybe one day Noel will have earned that amount of respect, but I doubt it. Really, there's no one like Bruce and there hasn't ever been. It's a safe bet there won't be another musician like him again.

The bass is really simple as well. Just root notes and I guess that one part of Broken Arrow after the second chorus is a little different, but for such a bass-heavy mix there's not a whole lot going on.

Adele, Foster The People, and Katy Perry are fine...I can't get behind a lot of that other stuff, especially dubstep.

He is not a very good frontman, that is a FACT, not opinion. His shows are a bit(im being generous) bland-- unless you're a hardcore fan(of NGHFBs, not Oasis)... FACT, not opinion. Those two things are perfect examples of opinions. Here's a hint: if you're saying something isn't good, if you're saying something is bland...that's how you feel about something. That's an opinion. Not a fact. The first is more difficult since genre is a very tricky thing to define in the first place. Hard to prove, harder to refute.

If I can pick the condensed (60 minute or so) version then it's a close #2 to Morning Glory. Otherwise...I guess it'd still probably be three because the songs are so good.
