Very nice album! I enjoyed listening to it! Thanks, man! Always nice to hear. And thanks, Sammy, that's definitely one of my favorites as well. As for Soundcloud, I think so? I don't think I've ever really utilized it, but I think I made one at some point.

Love the new stuff. They have this incredible ability to make me love the next "era" of the band more than the previous. Every single time. When Favourite Worst Nightmare came out it eclipsed Whatever... for me. Then Humbug blew my mind. Then they went to that great summery '60s place for Suck It And See and made me fall in love with that album. Then R U Mine? comes out and is my favorite thing they've ever done. Now I'm addicted to Do I Wanna Know?
Very special band.

Thanks! Not really looking to "make it" or anything though. I just really like writing songs, always have. And if people like them, that's an added bonus. Let me know what you think, positive or negative.

It's not all that rocking, but I was definitely inspired by some Oasis/Noel stuff on this one. It's free so you have nothing to lose. Have a listen, you might like it. jacklindenmusic.bandcamp.com/

Nope. This is a very common rhythm in rock 'n' roll, the Bo Diddley beat. It's been used a lot before U2 and will continue to be, I'm sure.

When I listen to Liam's voice today it sounds like a drunk goat/cat. Like a nasal parody of some wannabe Lennon 15 year old... He needs to have a vocal chord surgery or something. It's like the chords are totally destroyed. It doesn't matter if he hits a note. The voice still sound awful and nothing like the LG I used to love. It's like some completely other person is singing with an awful voice. All of that is quite unpleasant. Don't play dumb.

Listen pal, there are dozens of threads you could post in to express your opinion about Liam's vocals, but you chose to draw unnecessary attention to yourself and create a thread. And then you present your opinion in a very crude, very unpleasant way. Don't act like you wanted to have a civilized discussion, because you clearly didn't. You wanted to provoke and you wanted attention. You got what you wanted. Go to sleep.

Did Gem write In The Bubble With A Bullet?
Regardless, I went out on a limb recently and named Gem as my favorite songwriter in Beady Eye. Not a popular opinion, but he blew me away with his songs on BE. Pure class.

Four Letter Word Dream On (Liam Vocals) If I Had A Gun... (Liam Vocals) The Roller Everybody's On The Run (Liam Vocals) Back After The Break Flick Of The Finger The Death Of You And Me AKA...Broken Arrow Record Machine (Liam Vocals) Start Anew
Looking at it, that looks like one of the greatest Oasis records period.

The Roller Four Letter Word Wind Up Dream
Don't know why Wind Up Dream doesn't get more love on here. I think it's a great song.

Reviving this because of the new album. I go with Gem now after finding out he wrote Back After The Break and Off At The Next Exit. He's gotten the reputation of being the worst of the bunch, but he's clearly got great songs in him.

I actually thought Second Bite Of The Apple from Abbey Road was fantastic and I don't wear the rose-colored glasses when it comes to Liam's live vocals. I played it for my brother who's even harsher on his live stuff and he thought it sounded great.

If the problem is ratio of rockers to soft stuff just take off Don't Brother Me, Ballroom Figured or Soul Love. It's not a question of whether or not those three songs or good, it's just that Off At The Next Exit and especially Back After The Break are THAT good.

Back After The Break and Off At The Next Exit = GEM ARCHER Girls In Uniform = ANDY BELL just confirmed by Lou Archer. Fuck's sake. I feel bad for Gem. He gets saddled with the shit reputation of being the worst songwriter of the three and he gets two great songs banished to the deluxe edition. Well done, Mr. Archer.

Back After The Break is so amazing. Much moodier than anything they've ever attempted and all the better for it.

Does the Japanese edition say who wrote the bonus tracks, specifically Back After The Break and Off At The Next Exit?

I know this is from 4-5 years ago by now but it really is a beautiful stripped back version of "Slow Show". Now that's a 40 year old voice people! Thanks for this! I love Matt's voice so much. Great performance.

Back After The Break and it's not even close. Best song Beady Eye's done to date. Can't possibly fathom how this didn't make the album.

How was this not on the album? Seriously, this is my favorite Beady Eye song (all-time, not just new album). I guess the guys are taking after early Oasis in this regard.

Not at ALL impressed on first listen, but I'm going to listen to it again today in my car. Hopefully it starts growing on me because the first time around the whole album seemed like one long bombastic verse with no chorus.

Which Bitch? is too all over the place for my liking. That and the songcraft isn't on par with the other releases. Cheeky has the glossiest production and it suffers for it. Buskers and Circuses are definitely my two favorites.
