The "Boss" might be the most overrated artist in the history of music! I can't stand his no singing bravado at all. Just my opinion unfortunately.

If you dislike his singing then I suggest you listen Nebraska. I use to really dislike him and think he was overrated, but that album really changed my perspective of him. It's a nice acoustic/Dylan like album. His best imo.

It'll be weird to see the HFB on festival. Not sure it's made for that, more an indoor show to me. Especially not made for the main stage. But since he has all those Oasis anthems to sing, he'll be fine. And since then the HFB album will be very famous.
But just a note to those who though Noel would sold arenas without Oasis tune, Now you have proof he woundn't since he's already playing the main stage. He's only playing the main stage because of Oasis tunes. It's fine by me anyway.

Noel isn't headlining. He's basically in the slot that Beady Eye were when they played IOW. How is this proof?

My mate loves Springsteen as much,if not more than i love Oasis/Noel/Beady Eye. He got tickets for Springsteen in Sunderland on Wednesday. I got tickets for Noel at the Castle. If we'd waited we would have probably gone.

I honestly believe that neutrals who don't really mind Springsteen or Noel will have a better time watching Noel.
He could easily headline this festival and is clearly much better and has a superior back catalogue than Springsteen.

Noel's written better songs but a festival's not his setting. It's made for The Boss.

I think BS & ESB are the best live performers in the history of rock n roll, so... You know, Oasis were/are my favourite band, but I think BS is superior in songwriting, back catalogue and especially live shows (the latter are simply unique). I think I should be getting tickets for this festival now haha

I honestly believe that neutrals who don't really mind Springsteen or Noel will have a better time watching Noel. you're crazy if you really think that. springsteen puts on three hour long shows, involves the audience constantly and is a brilliant showman. noel just plays his songs and that's that. He could easily headline this festival and is clearly much better and has a superior back catalogue than Springsteen. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

What are you talking about, JB? If you don't like Noel's music your won't like his set...that is all he has other than the occassional hilarious quip.
He's not a perfect fit for a festival. But with the fact that he will have had one of the top 20 most popular albums of the previous year and a set with a good amount of Oasis tunes in it he'll probably do alright. I don't think he'll totally bomb.
He can't really not do them. It'll be invaluble exposure.
Acts like Springsteen are made for settings like that.
