The Great! Nice to see that they went out of their way to nominate something that wasn't even a U.S. single.

It was available from his website in the US/North America section, just like IIHAG. I'd say that makes it a US single just as much a the later.

Not surprised they went with TDOYAM. They had it as one of their "hot picks" or whatever early on.

I read this a few days back at a local Barnes&Noble. It still seemed odd that he got a mention. It came across more as a last resort than actual praise for the song.

"The Oasis refugee's wackiest moment ever: loping folk rock with Beatles-Kinks orchestrations and paranoid lyrics that add up to pub-rant poetry."
Is that a compliment?? sounds like the usual highfalutin rolling stone daddy rocker/ grateful deadhead trying to pigeonhole a perfectly good piece of music...
Why don't they just say what they really mean.. "It's okay it's not as good as the ZEP though...and EARLY zeppelin!"
That list needs more big haired american indie bands that no one gives a shit about.

I'll break it down a bit: 1) Every rock journalist tries to pigeonhole and over-describe every piece of music they hear. Every. One. 2) Rolling Stone is infamous for bashing Zeppelin. They still take shit for that. 3) Big-haired American indie bands? What the fuck does that even mean? Who are these big-haired American indie bands you speak of?

Zeppelin are worse thieves than Noel ever thought of being.
They stole ENTIRE songs from people and passed them off as their own.
RS are what they are.Nothing more/nothing less.
