exactly ..... so many here slag HC they say some good singles but no more than that .....I have said countlesss times here not only did HC put them back in game , but it set up the run into DBTT BUT MOREOVER if another band put out a lp with SCYO,LITTLE BY LITTLE,HINDU TIMES , BOADC,AND SONGBIRD , 5 real trong tunes , it wqouldnt be DISMISSED it would be praised as a huge success no HC no momenteum for DBTT thus no MSG AND USA REVIVAL .... HC left radio and the fans in the usa wanting more , something that hadnt been since morning glory And we got a great tour for HC too well put kalas Rock 'N' Roll Star on CDUK is one of the best performances they've ever done. Regarding the Don't Believe The Truth era, I have to say it's one of my favourite ones. Mostly because it was around that time I discovered the band, maybe. But the band sounded great, looked cool and the album is one of my favourite. I have listen to that the most I think (after Definitely Maybe). Love the documentary Lord Don't Slow Me Down, too. Always interesting to see what a band (especially Oasis) is up to backstage and so on.

I lit up when I saw that picture yesterday. So nice to see them together again. Smiling and all. This interview was a great read, btw!

This is so good. Perfect combination of commercial pop/rock and indie. Just the right amount of synthesizers, too. Album out in the the autumn.

Noel's guitar sound on The Mexican is brutal! Love it.

He should play The Dying Of The Light acoustic instead. With Mike Rowe on the piano. Don't think it sounds good when they play it live with the full band.
Other than that this has been a great stream so far. Starting to like Ballad Of The Mighty I after hearing it live a few times now. And yes, Champagne Supernova is beautiful.

Plastic Mermaids from Isle Of Wight has released a brilliant EP this month called Inhale The Universe. Their first one from last year is great, as well. I've been listening to them every day this week. I love them. Nothing to complain about, at all. Check them out on Spotify or buy the EP.

I don't know why but I got really bored when I watched this gig. Doesn't have the charisma or the voice to sustain interest for me. Also doesn't help that his band somehow make the songs sound completely undynamic. Is it the drummer? Noel's band is the only band I can think of where I become aware of the drums in the mix - I think this tells me there's something bad about them. My biggest problem is Tim Smith and the drummer. The way they are playing feels so soulless. And in this particular concert Noels singing is pretty bad. The bad sound mix isn't helping either.

I'd imagine they gave him a guideline of questions to read from. I'm sure if it was one of us we'd be reeling off questions about unreleased songs, the mustique tapes, AA album, DIV sessions etc but I don't think Noel or his management would allow it. As funny as Noel interviews are all we can realistically expect from any interview are the bog standard boring same old questions. Shame. There was one good one though from the Oasis days, it was a written interview but Noel was asked about a load of unreleased material, that was when we first learned of Come On It's Alright's name being changed, an accurate description of The Good Rebel for the first time etc I'd love to see more in that vein but it's unlikely. Btw does anyone have that transcript? I haven't read it in years and it would be interesting to sift through again! You mean this one? Unfortunately part 1 and 2 are gone from the world wide web. My Google skills are not that good, though. Maybe some one else can find the whole interview. live4ever.proboards.com/thread/77787/noel-interview-request-2009

Never been to a concert there before. This will be my first time, so I was just wondering: Do the roller coasters and the other things distract you, if you understand what I mean? Nah, Ive seen quite a few bands there and I cant say that the rides distract you. It just makes for a special environment for a gig. Most of the people at the Tivoli at the the time of the concerts are there for the concerts anyways. Thanks. Sounds great.

The question is whether to buy tickets for the gig in Copenhagen or Stockholm, or take a chance and wait in hope that they'll announce that he's playing a gig in Norway too. Let's hope the experience of playing the hopeless gig at Kollenfest in Oslo last time doesn't scare them from making him play a concert here this time too. Would be a bit weird if he came to Denmark and Sweden but not to Norway. If you're thinking of going to the gig in Stockholm you dont have to buy a ticket in advance. The venue can take up 20.000 iirc, and that will never sell out completly. Every time Ive been to a concert there I've bought my ticket at the door, since its an amusement park there will be people there more interesting in going on the rollercoaster than watching a concert. Never been to a concert there before. This will be my first time, so I was just wondering: Do the roller coasters and the other things distract you, if you understand what I mean?

He's playing Vega in Copenhagen, I think. That's Denmark too, though. Of course, I meant apart from the gig in two weeks. I'm going to that one. Have a nice one. The venue is great.

Cool, hopefully he'll play somewhere else in Scandinavia (apart from the Roskilde festival, of course). He's playing Vega in Copenhagen, I think. That's Denmark too, though.

According to the papers here in Sweden and Gröna Lunds website, the 2th of july is the right date.
This will be the first time I see Noel Gallagher solo. Gonna be fun. Hopefully the weather is alright.

It wasn't that bad. The only thing that looked odd to me is that he kept his eyes down, reading the lyrics He have kept his eyes down (when he sings) for 10 years now. Nothing new. He sounded great. The sound mix was bad (as always on these TV shows) as everyone has said.

This swedish band released their debut album a couple of weeks ago and it's brilliant. It's called Sky City and the name of the band is Amason. Maybe one of the members is familiar for some of you on this forum. Gustav Ejstes from the band Dungen plays guitar/piano and sings on two of the songs on the album. Amanda Bergman which sings on the rest of the songs are fantastic. Love her voice.

After first listen:
1. The Dying Of The Light 2. Lock All The Doors 3. The Girl With The X-Ray Eyes 4. The Mexican 5. The Right Stuff 6. Riverman 7. While The Song Remains The Same 8. Ballad Of The Mighty I 9. You Know You Can't Go Back 10. In The Heat Of The Moment
I'm sure this will change very much after just a few more listens. I think the production is better on this album, sounds and feels mer alive and raw, if that make sense. Appreciate that the guitar solos are back, too. I'm glad he didn't involved Dave Sardy on this album.
