I became a fan of The Soundtrack of Our Lives when I heard compilation "Rest In Piece 1994-2012". The Passover and Nevermore are mega...Big fan of this three tunes - Dow Jones Syndrome, Bigtime and Confrontation Camp. There are many great songs like What's Your Story?, You Are The Beginning, Firmament Vacation, Lost Prophets In Vain, Galaxy Gramophone, Legend In His Own Mind, Babel On... and ofcourse three world most popular songs - Instant Repeater ’99, Sister Surround and Second Life Replay. Shame they disbanded the band. The Soundtrack Of Our Lives is one of few bands that never released a bad album, in my opinion. Amazing live, too. Don't feel bad that they broke up, Ebbot is gonna release a solo album this year and I think that record gonna sound pretty much as The Soundtrack Of Our Lives last album, to be honest. He has released an EP too, so go listen to that stuff. The two guitarist in the band has made music to some films to. It's on Spotify.

And honestly, when you're there at the show, you couldn't even tell Liam sounded bad. I didn't even notice until I heard the bootleg of that night. Same for me when I saw them for the first time in 2009. I'm really happy that I saw them atleast one time. The band sounded great and the swedish crowd was alright.

I can't understand how this song is getting so much shit. It's fucking brilliant and 10x better than ITHOTM Yes, it's better than In The Heat Of The Moment, but that's not saying much.

Haha. The best part of this is the talk between Noel and the director at the beginning and at the end.
The song itself is boring. If you gonna make 5 minute song it needs to happen more in it. And what was the point in having Johnny Marr on it. Nothing extraordinary with that guitar bit anyway. I've lost my hope for this album now. Expectations are down to zero. Didn't like In The Heat Of The Moment either. I was hoping that I would like this album more than the last one, but I think that's not gonna happen.

Best track off the new album. Love this (not so much the rest though) Agreed. The album got boring really fast, in my opinion. Haven't listened to it in a long time.

I really hope he's gonna tour with Noel. I didn't like Tim Smith on the guitar on the last tour.

I heard 'Don't Look Back In Anger' on swedish Idol in 2006, and I was hooked. I went to Youtube and listened to that song on repeat, downloaded (illegally, sorry) MTV Unplugged and listened to that album every day. For a pretty long time I thought Noel was the lead singer/frontman. The first album I bought was Don't Believe The Truth (maybe that's why I think it's one of their best) and short after that the deluxe edition of Stop The Clocks.
I could have been a fan ten years earlier, though. I got a collections album with various artists called Absolute Music 26 at christmas in 1997 and on that album was 'Stand By Me' but i didn't cared about that song for some weird reason. I was only 6 years old at the time, though.
It was this version I've heard if some one curious. In hindsight, it's a pretty lame version compared to Noel Gallagher's acoustic versions. But it got me to discover a band that changed my life and have made hard and good times in my life easier to deal with. Oh, god, I love this band.

Quite like that attitude, especially in this day and age when we get information from everyone wherever we go. Pretty fun to not know what a band is up to all the time. But on another hand I don't know... kinda dorky and stupid to have that attitude. I'm not sure what I think. It feels like they're trying too hard to be cool. I don't know. But with all that said; I really look forward to hear more from them. Sorry for my mediocre english. Hope you understand what I'm trying to say. Yeah i think i understand what you are trying to say. I agree in some point. Nowdays it's too easy to find information and it's kinda intriguing in some way to not know everything about them. I don't really think they are trying to be cool. Maybe they hate that thing with the over-exposure and trying to keep it as low as possible. Agreed. You summed it up better. Maybe they have a low profile to avoid the hype train. NME have written about them though, I think.

Their latest album is very boring to be honest. But maybe that has more to do with me. I liked their The Big Black And The Blue and the Lion's Roar. Just like them I'm from Sweden so maybe I've heard them too much on TV and radio. They are very talented, though.

I hope their debut album will get released in 2015. The weird thing about this band is that we don't know any details about the band members, apart that they are from Brighton. Only a few instagram photos and tweets. Quite like that attitude, especially in this day and age when we get information from everyone wherever we go. Pretty fun to not know what a band is up to all the time. But on another hand I don't know... kinda dorky and stupid to have that attitude. I'm not sure what I think. Just found the pop band Alvvays from Toronto, and I really like it. They released their debut album this year. Check them out! Apart from the great songs here under, my favourites at the moment are Party Police and Atop A Cake. They are on Spotify as well: Alvvays are awesome. I'm glad to see someone else enjoy them. Their album is probably my most played this year. its just so damn enjoyable. There are more artistic and creative albums out there, but Alvvays is just really great. Saw them live a couple weeks ago and they were really good. They are supporting Real Estate and The Decemberists, so I hope they get a bigger fan base. Agreed! I don't know what it is cause they sound like most indie pop bands, but they have something I like that I can't put my finger on. Have been listening all day. Glad to hear that you've had the chance to see them live, they seems to be great. They are actually coming here to Sweden in february.
