Watched his performance tonight in Manchester, truly incredible. How the fuck did he fix his voice like that? That was the best he has sounded since the 90's, if this is what were in for, his solo run is going to be incredible.

Agreed.
Sat watching it with my family (who probably havent heard anything but his 90s studio voice) so when he appeared i was both shocked and worried that theyd all sit there looking at me like so this is your idol and he sounds like this?
But they all said he stole the show. Imagine if he came on in 2005. He takes alot of shit on here for his voice and theres thread and thread about it being this and that and what he needs to do and theres been countless shit recordings from the Manchester and London gigs but now we have 3 great recordings and his voice is fucking superb so lets appreciate that and give him the credit he deserves here.
Long may it continue.

He did not wear earpieces like he did. In the 90's he never wore earpieces and about a certain point he did. He did not sound so well. Wondering.. He also mentioned, he was worried about his voice in an interview recently.

I wonder whether having that problem diagnosed and treated has had the effect. Obviously his voice has changed and still different to what it was but to suddenly get the power and breathing back like that is fantastic. It makes me much keener on an Oasis reunion, I just hope it keeps up for the rest of his gigs and the album is really successful.

Wouldnt surprise me at all if he's having coaching and is actually looking after his voice now,
In the past he got complacent and thought he was too rock n roll for that nonsense and could hide behind a band. However now it's his name up in lights and he knows people have/are doubting him, what better way of proving everyone wrong
Live Forever last night just hours after playing a set in Germany was truly fantastic.
Long may it continue because on form he's the best voice in music

Why the fuck not, Liam?

So, Liam's voice was just becoming worse every year after Andy and Bell joined him in the band. Now that they are gone, his voice is back. Maybe they are Blur's fans and they were putting something in his drink all the time to make his voice sound shit and plus they were writing shit songs to ruin Oasis legacy.

He mentioned in one of the most recent interviews that he's smoking less as well. Said something like "I didn't even smoke at all last week". Hopefully he sees how this benefits his singing abilities as well. Like he said on the Jon Snow-interview, he gets a bit worried at times before performing how his voice will do. Take care of yourself Liam, and your singing will benefit from it. Then you won't have to worry, and you can walk onto the stage with confidence on the inside as well as the outside, and create good memories both for yourself and the audience.

I hope he has vocal coaching. Why the fuck not, Liam? Yes, it's very important to keep your instrument clean and in tip top condition.

to answer the question: er, no. and it's not even close frankly speaking. it was better than everyhing he did with beady eye, true, but no, not the best in 20 years. just randomly youtubed this one:
honestly, it's still two classes better than yesterday.

True. I think people are going a bit over the top. He basically just sounds like he did at the start of tours in the later part of Oasis and Beady Eye before his voice gets tired from touring. Maybe a little bit better than in Beady Eye and he's obviously trying to control his vocal a bit more. Apart from sounding a bit less tired and slightly more controlled, he sounds pretty much the same if we're being honest. It's not any huge miracle or drastic change like people are saying. I think they just want to believe it just because he doesn't sound as shite as he has done at times. Don't get me wrong, it's nice to hear his voice and new material but no need to get carried away.

His 2000 voice isn't far from his BHN greatness, but it went downhill fast after Heathen Chemistry. I definitely prefer 2017 Liam over 2004 Liam and his Kermit, pull-away-from-the-mic Glastonbury show, so I'd say best in 15 years.
It's impressive no matter how you look at it, even compared to his BDI days.

Go back and listen, honestly, Liam's vocals aren't bad at all.

Don't know about that but I'm absolutely loving how he sounds at the moment. It might technically not be the best he's ever sounded but this is the most I've enjoyed listening to him sing in such a long time. Sounds like an awesome mix of the best parts of his voice in 2005 and 2008. He sounds way younger and less strained as well, even when he's pushing the high notes his voice stays full, it doesn't go weak and nasal like in the Beady Eye days.
So hyped up for the album now it's unreal, can't believe it's still so far off

Even though his voice is stronger and better than it's sounded in ages I still find myself doing his Kermit voice impressions around the house.

Randomly Youtubed his best vocal performance since the Be Here Now days? He is great during that gig though. His voice almost totally goes by the time they reach Europe in May on the same tour.

They are bad, especially when you consider the periods right before that: 1993-1994: crisp, clear vocals like on the Live Forever demo 1994-1998: godlike 2000-2002: as in the video above, a little rough but mostly like before Then, all of a sudden he starts pulling back, cutting off words...yeah it got worse after Glastonbury 2004, but it's the earliest gig I've seen where he sounds noticeably worse than in his prime.
