I remember the city stadium shows in 2005 where I was absolutely banging for a shite but didn't want to miss anything, A Bell Will Ring was when I picked my moment to go, and I was lucky to be back for the end of Songbird/start of Live Forever.

Perhaps this crops up earlier in the thread (apologies if so) but my "unpopular opinion" (or guilty pleasure) is that I always quite liked A Bell Will Ring. Heard it played live for the first time (long before it was released) at Poole Lighthouse in 2004 and from then it always stuck with me. Also there's a part in the demo (second verse I think) where the effect on Liam's voice changes which I like. And Noel's harmonies on the love version through the DBTT tour were decent! That Poole Lighthouse gig remains one of my personal standout Oasis moments. Saw them a lot but that night was very special. Any idea where one can hear the Lighthouse and demo version?

Worst bogs I've ever seen at a gig, Smashed up, blocked up, people pissing in the sinks, on the floor. You did well to make it back alive...

Keep the dream alive and Mucky fingers are better than The importance of being idle.

(What's The Story) Morning Glory is the most overrated album in the Oasis catalogue. Give me BE HERE NOW anyday!!!

I would be happy to never hear She's Electric again. I really don't like Stay Young. Heathen Chemistry is no better or worse than DBTT or DOYS.
She Is Love is an abomination.
Noel looked blind throughout 1994.
Zak Starkey is a shit drummer.

So glad I wasn't a fan to experience it's release. Must have been crushing. far from crushing, man. amazing summer, playing guitar and singing in the park.. even All In The Mind was joyful. vocal harmonies always fun to do and shit easy to play drunk as fuck the singles were great First BIG Liam song with Born On A Different Cloud.. still one of his finest. Hung In A Bad Place is alright. love how they ripped off The Stooges for once She Is Love was the first song I never bothered to play or learn the lyrics.. it's just WRONG Little By Little/SIL was their first shit single too... "double A-side" and the production? we would never talk about it. it was all about PASSION. always been. still is. The album? Didn’t age well. 2002? What a year. Finsbury Park... some classic interviews...

He was definitely my least favorite Oasis drummer especially during Bring It On Down on that tour.

Should have been around for away games to such classic grounds as Millmoor (Rotherham Utd), Victoria Ground (Stoke City), and a few others- absolute carnage at half time with a gap in the wall at one ground leading to a trough actually carved out of the concrete floor as the urinal! Got a feeling that was Brunton Park (Carlisle United). The view from the front of the paddocks at Roker Park wasn't much cop either mind, you needed one of WWI periscopes the lads in the trenches used to see what was going on over the other side.

1. Who Feels Love is pretty good - great, even
2. Noel should’ve retained lead vocals on I Hope, I Think, I Know
3. The recording of Cast No Shadow on Morning Glory is dreadful
4. A Bell Will Ring is the best non-Gallagher-penned Oasis track
5. Lord Don’t Slow Me Down (the film) is really, really boring without the band commentary
6. MTV Unplugged was Noel’s finest hour.

Alright...
- Production on Definitely Maybe SUCKS, but it also works at the same time. - Be Here Now is just as good as DM/WTSMG and is only overlooked because it's a tad too long. - Don't Go Away is the most overrated Oasis song. - Where Did It All Go Wrong had more single potential than Sunday Morning Call, what was Noel thinking!!! - Let's All Make Believe is better tha DLBIA and Live Forever. - Noel's voice + acoustic songs just do not interest me in the slightest. All well written and performed, but just so bloody boring. - Flashbax is the best B-side from Be Here Now. - SOTSOG is fantastic - FITB, Go Let It Out, Gas Panic, WDIAGW and Roll It Over are all top 30 Oasis songs. - Force of Nature is an absolute tune. One of Noel's best from the 00's. - Don't Believe the Truth is their best album post-BHN purely because every song is at least good. - Pass Me Down the Wine would be one of the best songs on the album had it been included. - A Bell Will Ring > Lyla / Let There Be Love
BDI/HFB/LG opinions...
- Beady Eye needed quality control. Some great songs ended up on obscure album releases or B-sides while some absolute dross made albums. - Who Built the Moon is the first NGHFB album without an excessive amount of filler. - Shine a Light is a tune. As is Millionaire, Kill for a Dream and Face the Crowd. - Greedy Soul and You Better Run suit being acoustic as much as they do electric. - Chinatown is an even worse idea of a single than Shakermaker or Sunday Morning Call.

- I Can See A Liar is fucking awesome, but that's mostly because of Liam's vocals. - Lyla is shit, haven't listened to it in 10 years, and I'm not going to. - Let There Be Love (Album Version) is better than It's A Crime, the latter is kinda boring to me. That said, the lyrics on the demo are much better. - SOTSOG is the second best Oasis album. - A lot of people seem to love BHN here so I'm sorry for offending 90% of the forum but I don't really like BHN that much.. There was a period where I did listen to it a lot, but now, the overproduction makes it very difficult for me to enjoy it and I'm not even an audiophile, it's just really, really loud and mostly white noise.
Since the guy up there wrote some of his opinions on BDI/HFB i'm going to do it as well because why not. - I really never bothered with BDI much, mostly because I prefer Noel's more "soft", melody driven songwriting and for what I saw, BDI is mostly rockers. But not really an unpopular opinion: Four Letter Word is mega. - HFB1 is Noel's best album, so many absolute TUNES in there, Jesus christ. - Many people here, critics and some of my friends saying Who Built The Moon? is Noel's best album. I think it's the worst yet. CY had almost as many bangers as HFB1, just of less quality on some, but the only songs on WBTM that I found interesting are The Man Who Built The Moon and Dead On The Water which is a live recording, and probably the best song Noel wrote this decade (not really an unpopular opinion as well).

Def maybe and wtsmg the masterplan, a couple of tunes after, but basically that was the glory years, and what a fucking brilliant time to be alive!

I will believe should've been on DM.
See the Sun, Snakebite and Strange Thing should've at least been b-sides and on The Masterplan.
ALATGCIH is better than Let's All Make Believe.

Familiar To Millions is an awful live album. Just terrible. Never got the hate for this album. I think it's great and Noel looks happier than now. Noel talked about it a few times and thinks it was the lowest point of Oasis, but they all seem to really like it. You can say that for the gigs 2005 onwards.

Not sure whether it's really that unpopular an opinion but I like SOTSOG better than both HC and DBTT.
