I'm sick and tired of hearing 'Rock N' Roll Star' in Liams solo gigs. I reckon he should play it last in the set instead

For some reason, a lot of performances from 1994 I just can’t get into. I don’t know if it’s how they played the songs way back then but I like performances from 1995-onwards

I'm sick and tired of hearing 'Rock N' Roll Star' in Liams solo gigs. I'd gladly see Rock N Roll Star and Morning Glory both dropped for Finsbury Park.

Be Here Now is their best album and Stand By Me is their best song. The Fame should have been on it thought, it's probably my second favourite of them. What is a funny fact that WTSMG sold just 1,441 more copies than BHN here in Finland till this day. They are both certified Gold. DYKWIM was their only number one single here. www.ifpi.fi/tilastot/artistit/Oasis(In Finnish) Oh, and I don't care about Slide Away. Acquiesce is terribly overrated.

Married With Children should not have been on DM, Slide Away should have been the epic closer.
You have an album with titles like cigs & alcohool, supersonic, rockstar, bring it on down, and then you have married and with children??

I think Married With Children is a perfect song to close the album. I like the tracklist of Definitely Maybe - starting with Rock N Roll Star, then Shakermaker, Live Forever and Supersonic in middle, then Digsy's Dinner (Noel's hidden masterpiece, same as She's Electric), then Slide Away and Married With Children. A perfect album, a perfect debut album by one of the greatest bands in UK's and the modern music history.

I respect your opinion, MWC still a very good song for me, it's that for me MWC sounds like a bonus track and Slide Away the real closer.

DLBIA isn't in my top 15 tbh Wouldn't make my top 20 (at least) either. Great live anthem though.

DLBIA isn't in my top 15 tbh Wouldn't make my top 20 (at least) either. Great live anthem though. I'm kind of guesstimating the number, so I wouldn't be surprised if it's not in my top 20 either. It's just not a song that really resonates with me and I find myself often skipping it tbh In a live setting I agree 100% though, few tunes beat it tbh

I used to have the same thought about MWC, though I always felt Fade Away should have closed the album after Slide Away. Now Fade Away is one of my absolute favourite Oasis tunes but since the last couple years, I understand why MWC closes the album. It's almost like waking up from an amazing fantasy dream that begins with RNRS and ends with the reaching fade out of Slide Away, only to realize you're still a nobody/average Joe, stuck in a meaningless life feeling empty, hungry for excitement and action.

So would I...but you just KNOW they will both be done Both are brilliant live but they've been done to death already this tour (let alone in the past). I think it would be amazing if he opened up with DYKWIM and then kicked into Columbia next to open the shows.

I remember the first time I heard Don't Look Back In Anger. I was familiar with it but it was a eureka moment as it instantly grabbed me. I never thought I'd ever hear a better song in my life, and with that came the purchase of Stop The Clocks compilation and everything else followed after that. And Don't Look Back In Anger still held the undisputed number one spot in my affections.
But nowadays, I barely listen to it. Even in the context of Oasis I'm not interested in it. It's so far down the pecking order it's hard to believe. It's still great, I still love it, but it's weirdly not the standout tune it once was for me.

Not sure if this is 'unpopular', but I genuinely believe 'Gas Panic' ranks among the top 5 of anything Oasis has ever done. Specifically, the live performances which are IMO better than the studio version. Amazing instrumentation and some of Noels best lyrics. From someone who recently has developed panic attacks from an overdose, this song is very relatable to me and has increased my love for this song even more. One question though, what is the 'Gas'?

IIRC from that period 'Gas Panic' was the name that Noel claimed was a ghost/presence/spirit (call it what you want) that he claimed visited him during his cocaine withdrawals at night. EDIT- Interestingly though it is also the name of a Tokyo nightclub that Noel supposedly visited during his partying years on tour with the band- Trip Advisor
