People hate on 'The Beat Goes On' too much, I still like it.... Don't ban me! That song might perfectly capture all the aspects of why I didn't think Beady Eye was any good.

I really like She is love. Wasn't really any need for it on the album though as songbird is already on there as well and is a much better song. It would've been much better as a b side.

I almost (not quite) wish that Oasis had had a Brian Epstein in their life to tame them and put them in suits, so to speak, so they could have made it bigger here in America. It pisses me off how people here have been cheated of getting to know Oasis (other than Wonderwall) by the crap corporate radio stations and shitty magazines like Rolling Stone, simply because they were rude and wild when they first came over.
But then I remember that anyone who would blacklist Oasis doesn't deserve to have them in the first place, and "tame" Oasis would be kind of shit, so...

Oasis' antics in the late summer of 1996 played a part in their USA decline but it is not the whole story. A big factor was the changing musical landscape in America. A swift transition from alternative rock to boy bands, girl bands, rap/metal and hip hop. When Oasis returned in 1997 they came with a bloated album and no hit singles. Then in 2000 they really fell out of flavor.

The fact remains that Rolling Stone gave them one extremely unflattering cover story, when they could have been putting them on the front of the mag with frequency and getting people curious about them. Rolling Stone blacklisting them had a big negative impact on their career in this country, and it also discouraged other mags from covering them. RS is a garbage mag, but unfortunately it holds a lot of sway, even now. It's not really relevant what the music industry is trying to shove down people's throats - people will connect with real music, IF they get the chance to hear it. That was the point I was making, which you did not notice.

That was the point I was making, which you did not notice. First, that Rolling Stone magazine was from May 1996. At their peak of sales in America. Sold extremely well all summer and fall. Second, Rolling Stone gave Be Here Now 4 stars out of 5. An excellent review for a "blacklist". Third, Be Here Now was voted Album of the Year by their readers.

Dig Out Your Soul WITH the songs that missed out that were used by High Flying Birds and Beady Eye, would have been 1 of THE best albums in the 2000's by Oasis easily

That might be a semi-unpopular opinion, but with the changes you proposed I can't really see your opinion as a very controversial one to be honest

AGN is absolute dross but I kinda like TNOR tbh I like the instrumental version of TNOR, it sounds terrific with only the instruments and without those silly lyrics, totally a catwalk song.

'I Can See A Liar' is ace. The vocal effects on Liam's voice is brillant.

So during the last 30 seconds I've read positive comments towards both PYMWYMI and I Can See A Liar.
My brain is on the verge of completely shutting down.

'I Can See A Liar' is ace. The vocal effects on Liam's voice is brillant. The verses are GREAT. Liam's voice is GREAT. The chorus is the worst kind of amateur crap Noel ever wrote. All that buildup demanded an absolutely savage, punkish chorus, and Noel chickened out.

That chorus is fucking atrocious.

I have a few -
Gas Panic is very average.
Supersonic ain't that great.
DM is a fairly average album compared to BHN.
WPTWOTWOMS is the best track Noel wrote during the Oasis Mk2 era, and yet it never appeared on any album or B side.
