Stop the Clocks (NGHFB Version) is nowhere near as bad as people make it put to be.

Stop the Clocks (NGHFB Version) is nowhere near as bad as people make it put to be. The last Minute is atrocious. I cant make any sense, the demo sólo was better.

Stop the Clocks (NGHFB Version) is nowhere near as bad as people make it put to be. The album version is shite. The lazy keyboard riff at the start that sounds off beat, the lack of harmonies from the demo and the overly polished production. Sounds like he tweaked it too much and reworked it so many times that he ended up strangling it. Same goes for Record Machine. Luckily Record Machine had more energy on the live versions.

Stop the Clocks (NGHFB Version) is nowhere near as bad as people make it put to be. I dont mind it tbh, its quite a nice track with a big ending, the only bit I really cant stand is the monotonous "sound.....sound.....sound.....sound" before the outro thats probably supposed to sound spacey etc but it just sounds shit.

What the fuck, the last minute of Stop The Clocks is like THE only good thing about it.

I like The Good Rebel. I seriously don't get the hate for it. Good B-Side, with good verses and a contemporary rare guitar solo from the chief. Nice one.

I don't get this forum's love for I'd Pick You Every Time. It's cringe worthy and is the relative of She Is Love. YUCK.

Stop the Clocks (NGHFB Version) is nowhere near as bad as people make it put to be. Loved it on first listen and still love it to this day. Sure, Sardy's production is a bit flat, but it doesn't hurt the song at all. The choir is a great addition too.

A boring, generic, lazy dadrock song. Also can't stand Here's A Candle and Leave My Guitar Alone. I don't care if they're supposed to be jokey.

What the fuck, the last minute of Stop The Clocks is like THE only good thing about it. If your referring to my comment I was talking about the way they manipulated Noels vocals to sound spacey not the outro itself, the outros fine.

You've Got The Heart Of A Star is the last genuinely brilliant b-side. Only Eyeball Tickler came close to a real Oasis b-side after 2003.
For a band known for great b-sides this was a disgrace quite frankly. DOYS b-sides were so pointless people should have boycotted the singles entirely. I guess they did and that's why they charted so badly?

It's duller than Sunday Morning Call.

But one day, without warning, I really got into it. I think it's one of the top tunes from HC era with THTimes, Songbird, LBLittle, BOADCloud and Idler's Dream (even if the Shangri Las suck).

I realized that I don't have unpopular Oasis opinions.
I love all the classics. I am an 90's freak. Everything was gold back in the day: the melodies, the feel, the passion. You can have all the threads you want about how DM, WTSMG, BHN could have been even better with a better tracklist, that fifty or so songs are what made me (us) fan of the band, and that's it.
End of the off topic.

Well, unpopular opinion here is not to have unpopular opinion. So, there you go.

The business changed after DBTT. DBTT was the last Oasis record before the 'MP3/iPod' era. The need for b-sides disappeared I'm sorry but thats a shit excuse. Why then is Noel putting out b-sides on HFB singles? Lots of artists still give fans new songs as b-sides to this day. I'm not using it as an excuse - I'm just citing it as fact that B-sides were more 'relevant' in the CD/vinyl era than the digital age - when one track or song can be downloaded instantly. It's not too much of a stretch to think that some of Noel's solo future songs may have been B-sides had they still relied purely on CD sales to shift singles...
