I only got to listen to it once, but I don't really have an urge to listen to it again. Even though I don't like Holy Mountain, I had to listen to it because it was stuck in my head. However, since this reminds me so much of Bonobo's stuff and Lotus Eater by Mura Masa, it kinda falls short for me because both those artists do that kind of music sooo well.

This is much better than Holy Mountain! My only complaint is that I don't think it should be 4 minutes, I think like 2-3 minutes would have been fine for that song. It reminds me a bit of Bonobo.

I don't mind instrumental's but the only issue I have with them is that I really have to be in the mood to listen to them. If a lot of Noel's album is like that I don't know how often I could/would listen to it. I hope there are some tracks on the album that I could listen to anytime, instead of complete psychedelic/cosmic pop tracks. I have no doubt that there'll be songs that are really dynamic and interesting with more alarms and whistles and what not, but they never last long on any playlist I've ever had; I usually have to get rid of them after a month.

Question to all Liamists - So, now you will suddenly start to hate Paul Weller, cause he didn't verbally ejaculate praising As You Were? In general, I like both Liam and Noel. However, everyone has a right to like whatever they want to like. Liam is no songwriter and has been very outspoken about that, often praising Noel's songwriting. I don't think anyone can argue that Liam's lyrics are average. I like the album, I prefer it to a lot of Noel's solo stuff. Each to their own, if people all of a sudden hate Paul Weller because he doesn't praise an album, it's a bit silly. With that being said, it wouldn't make much sense to say an album he is on isn't that great either- he also needs to help sell WBTM because he has credit on the album.

I've never actually noticed how tall/long Noel's head is.. I don't know where his hair marks the top of his head. I hope this interview is on a bit of a lighter note though; his other ones he's been quite serious and a little bit boring.

To be fair, if you look at the descriptions for those $110-225 tickets, they say price goes up and down based on demand. So I don't know if he actually has any control over those prices. "Platinum Tickets are tickets that are dynamically priced up and down based on demand. Platinum Tickets are not part of VIP packages - they are tickets only"

Probably just wishful thinking on my part, but imagine there really is a tune called Not for sale that was at some point supposed to be the lead single and launch Liam's solo career, but then they decided to hold it back and release it as a stand-alone-single at some later point...that would be amazing as I would love to get another brandnew Liam track in this album cycle! And if it was a contender to be the lead single, it could be a pretty great song! Liam did say the other day that everything they had done had been released but I'm pretty sure in the spring he said they had recorded 22 tracks. I remember reading recently somewhere that he only had one song for a new album, maybe it's that song and it's completed. He did say he wrote 20 some tracks though, so I don't know.

Am I the only person to think that Holy Mountain isn't as "different" as people are making it out to be? If you brought everything down a step it'd be another normal Noel Gallagher song, it's not like it's techno. It has really loud brass and whistle on it. At the end of the day it's a basic pop song, but I don't believe it's even that good of a pop song, it's pretty average all things considered. I've seen people say, "I hated it at first, but after the fifteenth listen I love it" a song shouldn't take 15 listens to become good, you shouldn't have to force yourself to like it.

It looks like they just got some random drunk guy from the crowd to perform with them, I hope it got better than that lol.

Apologies if this has already been asked/posted somewhere. But do the album notes list the songwriters for each track (inc. bonus) on As You Were? I'm interested to know It's really long but this is what's in the boxset: "All tracks written by Liam Gallagher, published by Warner/Chappell Music. Except: 1 written by Liam Gallagher, Greg Kurstin, Andrew wyatt, Michael Tighe and Andrew Sidney Fox. 4,9 written by Andrew Wyatt and Michael Tighe. 5 written by Liam Gallagher and Simon Jons. 6 written by Liam Gallagher and Iain Archer. 10, 13 written by Liam Gallagher, Greg Kurstin and Andrew Wyatt." So basically: 1.Wall of Glass: Liam Gallagher, Greg Kurstin, Andrew Wyatt, Michael Tighe and Andrew Sidney Fox 2.Bold: Liam Gallagher 3.Greedy Soul: Liam Gallagher 4.Paper Crown: Andrew Wyatt and Michael Tighe 5.For What It's Worth: Liam Gallagher and Simon Jons 6.When I'm In Need: Liam Gallagher and Iain Archer 7.You Better Run: Liam Gallagher 8.I Get By: Liam Gallagher 9.Chinatown: Andrew Wyatt and Michael Tighe 10.Come Back To Me: Liam Gallagher, Greg Kurstin and Andrew Wyatt 11.Universal Gleam: Liam Gallagher 12.I've All I need: Liam Gallagher 13.
