I think Liam just wanted to go home. But let's say Liam knew his voice could turn, he isn't exactly going to cancel Leeds. It's easier to say he's sick than to say he's saving his voice for bigger shows. I believe that he was sick, but he's fine now. I went to Chicago and from where I was sat you could clearly see something wasn't all that right. I get why he cancelled, but he shouldn't have or he should have had the foresight to know not to have 3 days between a US tour and a U.K. tour. When Liam announced his USA tour I posted on the forum that I feel bad for the Philly and DC people. Looking at how bunched up the dates were after 3 weeks in America, I had a bad fucking feeling. Turned out to be correct. Wish it wasn't the case. Yeah I remember looking at the dates as well and thinking he was definitely going to cancel at least one, I figured it wouldn't be one of the sold out ones though. Liam's popularity is in England and I can fully understand him canceling, but it's still really shitty and doesn't really help with people viewing him as being unreliable. Oh well, at least he's rescheduling.

The album Prince of Tears by Baxter Dury is better than I initially thought.

Why is Black Friday a thing? And why do I have to work it? Are sales that important? Can people just go home and sleep after thanksgiving this. why can't people just relax, enjoy the day and be together with their families for just one day out the year without having to buy..... stuff. luckily here in massachusetts we are one of the few states with 'blue laws', meaning retail stores can't open until midnight friday. but they are saying on the news this morning people were lined up outside of stores as early as 2:00 yesterday afternoon. I wish Ohio had that, but I had to work 8-5am and then again today 3-10:30pm just so people can get $15 off UGG boots. It doesn't help that people expect you to still go above and beyond even if they're destroying every display and throwing clothes everywhere.

I wouldn't be surprised if he cancelled an upcoming gig. I was worried he would cancel in Chicago. I think just missing one song isn't bad though, I think people are overreacting slightly. He's always said he'd play for an hour/hour and a half max so they got exactly what he's been promising. I hope the rest of his tour goes without any hiccups.

He'll get a number 1 without a doubt, I'm curious to see how many it takes for him to get it though.

If auto tune was used it sounds like it was only on Wall of Glass and Greedy Soul; f they did they should have used more on FWIW. After going to one of his concerts and hearing him here it's not dissimilar at all, from what I remember.

Pitchfork seem to love an experimental album, so they might give it anywhere from a 6.5-7.

It's quite early so I don't know if this will make any sense:
FK: Initially I was a little underwhelmed but still thought it was a good song. I still think it's a bit too long, and that it feels like mid-2000's trip hop. There is a feeling of it being forced. 7.5/10
HM: Worst on the album for me still, even though it is a grower it's still hard for me to listen to. 5.5/10
KOR: I listened to the album the full way through and started a review but completely forgot anything about the song. So for me it's a bit forgettable but still upbeat, I remember thinking the beat was cool and that it was very radio friendly. 6.5/10
IABW: Still plods about a bit for me, musically it's great. However, I think the chorus ruins the song and some of his inflections bother me. Like the word "song" sounds like he's trying to do a southern accent. 7/10
STMHTF: Underwhelming, would sound better with raspier vocals 7/10
BCWYWF: Come Together meets Riders on the Storm. Cool groove, I think it might me my favorite, it is still too long though I think almost 6 minutes ruins it a little 8/10
B&WS: I'm having a hard time with this one, it feels forced.. I'm re-reading what I wrote and it's a bit harsh but I thought it was tolerable. 6.5/10
TMWBTM: Great song, I really like this one. There's a part of it that reminds me of a darker Paradise by Coldplay, I'm not sure of the proper term but I think it's the chord progression of the bass line. I listened to this at 3:30am so I could be wrong on the Coldplay bit. This is a bit annoying, but if Alex Turner sang on this I would give it a 9/10 but he's not so 8.5/10
ILITL: Initially it reminds me of Harry Styles or Mumford and Sons. I'm reading what I wrote down and the first thing I wrote was just "Christmas". This one I think will be on the radio a lot. 7.5/10 (this will probably increase)
W.P1: I can hear the David Bowie influence here (only a little though). For some reason it reminded me of a Cinemax film lol or one of the Twilight movies. 7/10
Everything else I couldn't listen to as the link was removed. From what I've heard so far, musically it's the best post Oasis album. However, my attachment and the way those songs make me feel doesn't do much for me. My initial worry when I heard about the album and when Noel was describing it was that it would feel forced. Some of the songs on here feel just that way. Thinking back, my issues with a lot of the songs come down to the vocals. A few of the songs I think could have been better if someone else sang them (doesn't mean Liam should). You can hear all of the influences in each song, some a bit more obvious than others. I can't remember what song it is but it sounds like he literally used sounds from space in it. There was a song with a pan flute or something that bothered me a bit. On some of the songs there are little bits of sound that jump out and when you hear it you can't ignore it- like the alarm or what sounds like those wooden frog instruments in I think STMHTF. I don't think Liam's and Noel's albums should be compared as they're completely different, but they're both good solid albums.
7.5/10

"Liam Gallagher was in a chipper mood at the Q awards. He has been in good spirits ever since his album came out and sold a rarely-heard-of 100,000 copies in its first week. So, several days later, the Q awards became a de facto Team Liam Number 1 Album party, especially as Liam had said he hadn't been out since its release. There was a lot of pent-up excitement to disperse.
He was full of beans as he bounded through the swing doors to the first floor of the Roundhouse after collecting his second award of the night, walking over the gangway to the Q photo room, telling everyone he met that, although, yes, he was "a fucking Icon", he'd been "robbed" of that Best Track Q award by "those cheeky vaginas Kasabian."
And then he saw Ed Sheeran. Ed had had a different experience at the ceremony so far. No doubt the Q Awards are also the highlight of his year too, but he did have both arms in plaster and one in a sling. He wasn't drinking because afterwards he was off to perform on television. Minutes earlier, Tom Meighan had grabbed his arm in painful greeting. Q writer Sylvia Patterson had hugged him enthusiastically, squashing that cast again. And here, here was Liam Gallagher.
"Fucking hell, kiddo!" Liam shouted. "You want to calm down on the two-handed wanking a bit. Can't go breaking both arms wanking. Go back to one hand, it's all you need."
Ed barely knew where to look as the room burst into laughter. The next few minutes were a masterclass in bemused Liam Gallagher piss-taking, all taken in extremely good humour by Ed Sheeran. Being the world's biggest solo artist buys you that kind of humility, no doubt.
They parted with an embrace, Ed off to his TV studio and Liam back to his table before repairing to the nearby pub that his label had hired for the night. He was last seen in deep conversation with Skepta in the garden, as the evening's real bromance blossomed"
There's a short interview with Liam in there as well, and a rundown of the best album's of the year. There's also an article on Johnny Marr's new album, but this is it for the interaction between Liam and Ed.

It seems like a shimmering sound or bells is a common theme throughout the album so far. This one's definitely got a cool groove, I'm interested to hear the rest.

Sucks for Noel, who was basically just saying "it is what it is, let's get on with it" rather than supporting Brexit outright. Kinda naive not to foresee parasites like Farage seizing on and exploiting his words. Yeah, I think they cut Noel off right before he says he thinks we should have remained. Unfortunately, that'll get lost and all people will see is the headline, and Farage calling him a lad.

One of the members of the Warbley Jet's shared an instagram story where the people on the other side of the stage were actually jumping around and enjoying themselves. It also showed him confronting/sternly talking to someone in the audience who threw a beer at him.

I've listened to it a few times now and I think it lacks a climax. It kind of trucks along, not necessarily in a bad way, but for me it doesn't really go anywhere. It has a pretty easy going feel, kind of fantastical and then Charlotte starts her announcement and slows the momentum and before you can get back into it the songs over.

I've got a slight suspicion that some of these songs may be a little bit longer than they need to be. That's just my feeling, I'm sure people are going to really like this one though, it's got more of a traditional Noel feel to it.

The only difference I can hear between the Jools Holland performance and the preview is there's like bells/charms/twinkling sound kind of like in Cinderella when any magic happens during the chorus.

It goes hand in hand, social media and bullying; it'll never go away. Especially if you're of the status like Noel and Liam. Liam gets name called and bullied as much as Noel, and I can remember when Gene and Lennon both got articles written about them looking like their father and some of the abuse that was getting hurled at them by adults was appalling. I've never agreed with Liam insulting Noel's wife, that's out of line, and if he's doing it because of some private reason it should have stayed private. I may be of the minority because I don't really want an Oasis reunion because of the hype and how long this has gone on for I don't think it would actually match anyone's expectations, and people would end up disappointed. If it happens, great if it doesn't I hope that one day they can get along.

It's probably just an interview with all fan questions because the last interview they had Chris Moyles said they never got to the questions. I doubt it's actually anything big.

I found out today that I'm going to his show in Chicago! I am a little worried for his voice because he has a show in Minneapolis the night before, but it should be okay.
