This might have already been done but I'm doing it again. Originally after DGSS release I thought Andy but his songs seemed to get worse in my head apart from FLW which I still really like. Whereas Gems did seem pretty bad at first then grew on me. Anyway my votes for Liam who many people think is a complete Neanderthal but I think he has proven over the years that is an accomplished songwriter.

IMO, Liam is head and shoulders above the others. I don't rate gem and Andy as song writers but I like most of Liams tunes... The Morning Son still amazes me to this day

Andy easily. He's the most complete songwriter of the lot. He's also the most varied and has the most experience since he's been writing successful songs for well over 20 years. Hopefully he can help Liam finish his songs off better for the next album.

We know Liam has his dodgy moments but his moments of genius like morning son, songbird and im outta time blow andy and Gem out the water and i like those two

Tough one. Gem wrote the most commercial song on the album, but his contributions have generally been pretty poor otherwise. I'd eliminate him.
Liam's stuff is pretty scattershot too. Bring The Light sounds like it took two minutes to write, and Beatles and Stones always makes me cringe. But TMS and Wigwam are promising. And if we're including Oasis, Songbird and GGTIA are ace.
Andy's the most "professional" and "consistent" songwriter. 4LW is by far the best song on the album. And his other songs are very varied and have distinctive melodies. Problem is, often they're lacking something, some staying power--a song like TBGO just gets worse and worse the more you hear it.
I'd go with Andy, reluctantly. I just think he's overall the most accomplished songwriter. But Liam has a good argument

Hopefully he can help Liam finish his songs off better for the next album. Andy probably is the most polished songwriter but his songs never really excite me. Whereas Andy seems to come out with a lot of good songs and no shockers, Liam is capable of shockers but I think has the potential to make classic songs whereas Andy doesn't for me. They should definitely work together I agree. Also, I haven't heard much of Ride so I'm probably not a great judge on this one.

I'm not a musician, so I understand that Andy and Gem are probably 'technically' better songwriters than Liam. That said, my favorite songs on the album are
1. Wigwam 2. Morning Son 3. Bring the Light.
I'm a much bigger fan of Liam's songs and none of his songs rank near the bottom. My least favorites are Wind Up Dream, Standing on the Edge of the Nose, and Kill for A Dream.
I'm a simpleton with music. I don't judge by how complex or 'well written' the song is. Who am I to judge that? I just go by what I enjoy the most.

Andy. Liam has his moments but also wrote a lot of too simple, repetitive songs.

Whoever wrote In The Bubble With A Bullet. Good point, actually, without the knowledge of who wrote that great song it's a lot harder to say. I'd say Andy and Liam are about the same level, Gem's songs are blander.

Andy is the most consistent. The majority of his songs are fairly good, in contrast to his Oasis output which was mainly shite but with the odd cracker.
Liam is very hit and miss - Wigwam and The Morning Son are amongst the best on the album, but the 'misses' tend to be shockers. There is no middle ground. I do think it helps that he has limited songwriting experience though as he tends to just go with whatever is in his head. Andy - and to a lesser extend Gem - seem to spend longer refining each song, where as Liam's are raw.
Gem's songs on the album are quite average and bland, although I did prefer his Oasis output to Andy's.
I don't really know enough about Heavy Stereo and Ride to judge on that.

This is a tough decision. They are all such unique songwriters.
Liam is a bit all over the place. Simple acoustic songs, short rockers, and psychedelic songs. It feels like an accomplished songwriter just dying to get out of him but somehow keeps one foot on the backdoor.
Gem likes to write rocker type of songs with a glam feel. Lyrics of being invincible. He also like to experiment with diff keyboard sounds, bit of harmonica, and write songs based on a groove bassline (Yellow Tail). I have a feeling Gem wrote The Bubble With A Bullet. The lyrics has a Gem feel i can't imaganie Andy or Liam writing some of those lines. Gem sings backing vocals on the 2nd verse quite loudly and there's Gem's harmonica at the end.
Andy like people have said is the most polished songwriter in the classic sense. He is really good at writing ballad type songs. The fact that he's written 3 singles says something - heck i could see the fourth song he wrote on the album Kill For A Dream to be a single too. Plus there is WOMW.
Saying that i probably wouldn't stand a Beady Eye album solely consisted of just one members songs. It's the three of them that is Beady Eye.

Andy is by far the best songwriter in the band. Liam and Gem only had 2-3 good songs between them.
In The Bubble is credited Gallagher/Archer/Bell by the way.

Andy is perhaps the best, but Liam is my favorite.
And regarding 'Bubble', it may be wishful thinking, but I'm guessing it might be the first attempt at joint songwriting by the band. And probably that's why it was finished after the album. That's also why it's hard to exactly point out who wrote it, and if you ask me, that would be a very good sign for things to expect for the second album.
To me, it has a bit more of a 'Liam' vibe, because of its mood and structure (the ending screams 'Liam') but the lyrics are very, very Gem. It could be mainly from them both, with some arrangements by Andy all over it.

Andy is the best songwriter, but a generic one. He writes good melodies, good songs, but they tend to be plodding and unoriginal. They havent punch. He is the best songwriter of the three, but he has no soul, so fuck him. Quite the contrary, Gem is a bad songwriter with a cool soul. He is capable of writing songs like The Roller without being a great composer at all. Liam is hit and miss, he has Gallagher ear for melody, but he tends to be repetitive and lazy with lyrics, structures and melodic developments. Fuck Andy Bell. Fuck Leonard Nimoy.
