That jacket must literally be floating at this stage. Hard to distinguish one gig from another now as it may as well be stitched onto him. Rancid. He's got at least 10 There is this Austrian band called "Wanda" and the singer is wearing the same leather jacket at every gig. It looks super worn out from all the sweat and alcohol and cigarettes. So one would hope Liam hast many of them, but who knows...

I think Noel's album is going to be pushed up a week instead of being delayed. Both Noel and Stereophonics are associated with Ignition Management and Records. The original release date of Stereophonics' new album was November 3. I recently checked and as of right now the Stereophonics' website is now advertising a release date of October 27. So what could be happening is that in order to avoid competing with Taylor Swift's November 10 release date, Ignition could be pushing the Stereophonics up a week in order to slot Noel in the following week. That way Ignition has a better chance of having two records chart at number one before Taylor Swift arguably dominates the charts for the next month or so.
That would make a lot of sense, but somehow I don't feel that will be the case (I hope I'm wrong, though). Last time the first single was released so close to the album was with Go Let It Out.
And the Stereophonic's first single from the new album is out since 6 weeks.....

So how is this any different than the various times Liam had done the same thing? And his whole job is to sing. It doesn't matter. Everyone needs to Quit looking for reasons to be offended. Can you post some clips Liam did it? Cannot recall it (not offended, just genuinely interested when Liam did that).

Yeah depressing the touts and now the 'normal' people who seem to get in on the act. I don't get why Ticketmaster is allowing this. Seetickets re-sale option lets you only re-sell for the actual price.

London is sold out on Seetickets

Does anybody know if it'll be possible to re-sell tickets bought for ally pally? 3 friends and me want to go, but it's not sure yet if we can make the trip to London, would only know for sure by November. In case we couldn't make it, I would sell the 4 tickets (given I get them) on here for the original price. Just wondering if it is even possible, as I read somewhere that they said the name is on the ticket? Possible to get in with a handwritten power of attorney letter and ID copy of the original ticket holder? Would be a shame if I get some today, can't go in the end and the tickets would be wasted, especially if it's going to be sold out. Answering that question myself in case anybody needs the information: I saw that both seetickets and ticketmaster have a seemingly easy-to-use ticket re-sale system, so should be fine if I need to get rid of some or all tickets.

This has been on Wikipedia for quite a while. Not saying it's not true – I really hope it is –, but it's Wikipedia, you know... Most probably fake. If you search the history of the wikipedia article some funny person also put Bonehead as bass personnel on Wall of Glass before..

Very cool, that opens up the possibility for more gigs in the Asia-Pacific region as he is also playing Jakarta in January.

r they rly that bad? can you post examples please? Somebody (Jay?) hit the wrong chord at 3:07 and I know that sounds like nitpicking, but this really shouldn't happen at that level. And there were other recordings from other songs where they just messed up some really simple chords.

Yet, my perception - as a non-UK-citizen - is, that Liam Gallagher has a way bigger image than Noel does? Like all those lads and geezers and mancunians and whatnotever, they love Liam in the UK, don't they? To me it felt at Oasis concerts in the UK that the huge majority of people had that "let's got with my mates to an rock'n'roll night, down 10 pints and have a good time"-vibe. Seeing Noel during his UK tour in 2012 it felt much more like a matured, calm audience. That's why I'm wondering if walterglass might not be that wrong, that Liam could draw different (and bigger) crowds with his swagger attitude in the UK? With so much star power like you say Liam has it certainly didn't help Beady Eye go #1 or have big sales numbers. If he was as big as you say in England it would have crossed over no? I mean people in England know he was in Beady Eye. It wasn't a secret. They promoted hard. Nothing stuck. You are right Lennon, I completely forgot about the Beady Eye disaster. Yet, I think having his name out there on the posters is better than Beady Eye's and now the songs seem to deliver better. But it's true, Beady Eye gave us an indication that arenas are probably not within reach even as a solo artists.

No. I am not kidding nor cracking wise. The casual fans are bubbling again. It's all in bag now. Liam's not at arena level. Liam hasn't announced a UK tour or released an album yet. I mean, on his last solo tour Noel played at the Echo arena. That's 11k people. He played a total of 6 arenas on the last UK/Ireland leg of his tour, totaling over 60k people. Mind you, Noel has two platinum albums (the first going near triple platinum), BRIT appearances, and bigger solo hits than Liam. And even he showed trepidation about playing arenas. To assume Liam has it in the bag is presuming a lot. Yet, my perception - as a non-UK-citizen - is, that Liam Gallagher has a way bigger image than Noel does? Like all those lads and geezers and mancunians and whatnotever, they love Liam in the UK, don't they? Sad? Just a different culture. whats sad is how far from the stage they are. That will kill a crowd. it is a Asia thing also bc you goto a MMA fight in china or Japan and no one cheers at all and when someone does something amazing you will get a round of applause but that's it. Very reserved people Yeah, that's a bit of a shame here, can also happen in Southeast Asia that the stage is very far apart from the crowd. Will be at the Foo Fighters gig in Bangkok in two weeks, got freakin' expensive front row tickets and hope we'll be kinda close.

Let me be the first voice of dissent: I was really looking forward to this one given the comments from journalists and I'm absolutely let down. This is to pop balladry what Wall of Glass was to rock: it's generic, calculated, safe, soulless and repetitive. The best things I can say about it are that it's got Liam on vocals and that I liked the ELO-like middle 8 (but it's all too brief). Let's not kid ourselves: this tune could have been given to another artist (Robbie Williams anyone?) and we wouldn't be discussing it. I really hope it will grow on me and I'll have to eat my words, but for now I have the hunch it won't happen. Yeah, I had the same Robbie-Williams-feel when I listened to it the first time..but as some other member pointed out a while ago, a lot of Robbie Williams tunes could easily be Oasis tunes

Verses are great, chorus unfortunately a bit mediocre, but not bad. If chorus had a worse meldoy, it could be a beady eye song, but like this I think it's a good enough tune for his solo record, I did like it! Just was hoping for a little better chorus.

I live in China and as far as I know the Beijing one is selling pretty good but the Shenzhen one ain't very well. Yesterday I was checking the seat of the Shenzhen one and I found that even seats in the fronts were still available. Only 4 days left ffs. He does have a strong fan base here but many Chinese fans are only fans for Oasis. Anyway I'm going to the Beijing one. Will let you know the attendance rate. As I pointed out in another thread before, the Chinese gigs seem so overpriced, almost 200€ for a Liam Gallagher solo show? Thanks, but no. I was considering going to Shenzen first (as I'm based in Bangkok), but that price tag just put me off.

Didn't buy anything yet, but I'm 99% certain I'll be in Bangkok on January 14 and 95% certain that I will not have to work on the next day, so would consider a weekendtrip to Jakarta (I never went before). Probably flying out on the 12th in the morning and coming back to Bangkok on the 15th. If it works out in any way, would be nice to have some beers before/at the concert as I would've gone alone to Shenzen too (don't know any other Oasis maniacs here in Bangkok unfortunately...) Yeah screw it. It'll be a once in a life time opportunity for me if Liam doesn't come to Sydney so I'll buy the ticket tonight!! If you end up doing the same, absolutely let's meet up for some beers. Let me know what you end up doing 👍🏼 Will definitely update you, just checked my frequent flyer points, could even go to Jakarta for free. Highly likely I'll book these days.

Where are you based tezza198? I'm based in Bangkok, was actually considering the Shenzen gig in China, but they charge way too much money for the tickets for my taste (about 180 GBP for standing). Im actually based in Sydney, Australia. The main reason why I'm keen to go to the Jarkata gig is because I'll be in Thailand around that time so it's an easy flight across to Indonesia. I'm thinking about purchasing the tickets tonight, what are your plans?
