I have one ticket for Alexandra Palace on Dec 7 in London left. Face value, could be picked up at my friend's craft brewery in Islington already, otherwise happy to meet before the concert on Dec 7.

After more listens today, I can say I really dislike the middle of the record. Be Careful what you wish for and Black and White Sunshine are so boring it is stunning. A really funny bit is actually the first instrumental, both brothers seem to write the same melodies as it has the same melody as Liam's "All My People". What I also wonder - why having a producer, who talks one into writing songs in the studio, but fails to mention "Hey Noel, your riff here in Be Careful What You Wish For is exactly the same as in Come Together, please scrap that". Sorry, but this song is the worst rip-off in years and I totally get accusations Oasis/Noel is just ripping off songs with this tune. Other than that I do like the rest of the record, but so far I prefer Chasing Yesterday.

Excellent record, but HM still rubbish, STMHTF as a first single would have worked way better IMHO. Far less "experimental" than I thought after every info we got through interviews etc. To me, it sounds like a classical Noel album with great experiments in the correct direction that make it work well. Got the feeling that some songs on this one could've been on CY too and vice-versa.

Great! Thank you for the info!!! Will you record this? Should be no need to record this, there's a software out there called "Mediathek viewer" (you can check it out as well) that access the different German public TV stations online broadcasting databases. Every show is usually online 7 days after it was aired on TV, so it should appear in Mediathek viewer too and we should be able to select a high quality download.

What do you think about the song from a songwriter's point of view when you just play it on acoustic guitar and sing? Just seen this sorry. I just don't really like the melody, I think it sounds a bit better stripped back but then again that is what it does have going for it - energy. The one bit I like is the melody for the "Smells like 1969" line, that's nice. The rest I'm not really interested in. I like it way better now than after the first hearing, but there is no real singing melody in the first half of the verses, that's what bores me. He stays mostly on the same note all throughout the first half of the verses. And that's poor work for somebody as capable as Noel Gallagher.

Having had more listens now I stick to the feeling I had earlier today. It's not a new sound, it's a classical Noel B-side in the likes of the Good Rebel etc., bad single choice compared to what we have heard in the preview clip, but Holy Mountain is the most radio friendly of all the 4 songs we had glimpses at so far, so choice might make sense.

Jesus. I wonder how nervous Noel must be after seeing this reaction to his premier. You assume he's seen the reaction. He doesn't sit about on Twitter like Liam. He won't see the vast majority of the nonsense getting thrown about. Wouldn't be so sure about that, he got kids, he got a wife, he got a PR machine behind him and all (just like Noel) are active on social media. I would be surprised if he was not interested at all in the reactions and opinions be people out there to his first song, he very much values the No. 1 album spot in the UK, he definitely does care (or at least read/listen) to opinions on his tracks out there.

No CD single on the site? Mmm. no download and Release Date: 24/11/2017 Interesting. So it has singles, but basically no singles that promote the record in a classical way and to enter the charts before the record hits the shelves.

I wish I could be as euphoric about the song as mystoryisgory I didn't really like it after a few listens, but meanwhile it has grown a little more on me and I think it's alright. It is kinda different, but still not 'out of left field' or 'experimental' imo, hard to explain. I like the 'feel-good'-vibes of the song, but overall it sounds a little dull. Surely there must be much better tunes on the album than Holy Mountain! After having a few more listens it also grows on me but contrary to the majority here, I hear a classical Noel-Dad-rock-Mucky-Fingers tune with a flute, which is the only difference.

For me it's what happened with Amorphous Androgynous. He announced both records and secretly worked on the "real" one. He got scared. That's why I believe there could be a small chance he is scared again, but no parallel record is in the shelf and maybe production+promotion plans for WBTM got too far earlier this year to scrap it. Hence, the only option was to scale it down and keep it intentionally low-key and in case it fails it doesn't attract too much attention. Sure he will tell in every interview how excited he is, anything else would be a PR disaster if he talked bad about before release and in the first months after. Edit: But acually I don't believe it will fail if the other tracks have the quality of the three previews instead of Holy Mountain. I really hope this will be the weakest song on the record as it doesn't get across anything for me. He never formally announced a release date with the AA album. They never even completed mixing or mastering. This is completely different. Everything is done with this, the release date is out there, a single has been released, recording, mixing, mastering, and artwork are finished, and they've probably already budgetized it. There's a 0% chance that this won't be released. A turn back at this point literally never happens with any artist. No, you got me wrong on that one. I don't question that it won't be released. You are totally right, it will definitely be released. The only thing I said above was, that I assume there could be slight chance that Noel is not 100% behind this record himself anymore and that the intentional scaled down of the promotion is a result of that with Noel starting to bash it in a few years.

He was also beyond excited about Heathen Chemistry. Just saying. He didn't do a 180 on that album until several years later. I just don't get why people either don't think this album is coming out or don't believe that Noel is completely behind this. This is a runaway train. Either get off the tracks or prepared to be hit! Usually I don't hate or dislike songs, but this is a total disaster. I love Do the Damage, Mucky Fingers is ok, but this one is neither a new sound nor out of his comfort sound. It's a horribly produced plodding song and I don't get the catchyness or sing-a-long references some are hearing here. I have to admit the annoying flute is stuck in my head..
Seriously confused what this record is going to be as I loved what I heard in 2 of 3 previews (and the Beautiful World preview grew on me), but Holy Mountain as a single choice is totally nuts. Ridiculous song. For me it doesn't also have to do with being out of the comfort zone..I love the Amorphous Adrogynous remixes, I love UNKLE stuff and also listen to Kanye West, so I'm all up for Noel doing something different, but this is not different. As many mentioned on here already it sounds like one of the 2010 demos.
One thought: Could the lack of proper promotion also mean that Noel is actually not supportive anymore of this record? See it coming already he will bash it in a few years...

Maybe, last time I went to see Beady Eye in Germany he played in a small club in front of like 300 people only... Sad Same here, saw him in Munich. Super sad show, he came on at 7pm already (which everybody seemed to be surprised with, no headliner starts at 7pm in Germany) and crowd half empty. Seeing him back in form, I think this time he won't mess up if he comes to Germany.

Maybe he got a head start to Mexico and is vacationing? That gig is in less than a week. Though....KROQ is also out there. I will go to the gigs i dont think he play any new stuff probably a little change on the set (would be great the Mexican) but no sign of new stuff in my opinion As there was no single today and next Friday is highly unlikeable, I also think he won't play anything new in Mexico, which would be a shamed and missed opportunity imho.

Anyone heard about this interview? Recently, I saw some pics of Liam and a German (I think) interviewer on IG. Couldn't find anything about it on German news yet. Ina Müller hosts a late night talkshow called "Inas Nacht". The next season starts airing on October 21st, here is the schedule: daserste.ndr.de/inas_nacht/sendetermine/index.htmlThere is no mentioning of Liam yet, but not all shows of the next season have a description at the moment.

Did anyone record the Moyles show? I'd like to hear the song snippets. I didn't listen to it, but I'm pretty sure they are the same as in the trailer on Noel's youtube channel?

No single announcement?! that's super weird. If they're not going to play it today, then there's no reason to announce. They'll probably try to steal some headlines midweek by announcing it then. Ok, you are right. Just hoping we'll get a single by Friday?!

I don't know what to think really. The first song sounds great, not sure on the other two but can't judge them from a little clip. It sure does sound interesting though and looking forward to hearing more. Yeah, first one sounds good. Makes a good opener like Fuckin' in the Bushes. Beautiful World...to be honest, what I'm hearing there doesn't appeal to me at all. Strange melody, weird melody and annoying effect on the voice plus the French part.. She taught me how to fly reminds me of a New Order song (the guitar especially), which is pretty cool I think.

Holy moly! Totally unexpected. Not sure if I like what I've heard there. Same. Hard to tell with parts out of context. But I am intrigued. Yeah definitely kudos to Noel for going into that diretion. But also wondering how that style will work live in combination with his old songs...

Wowwwwwwww, not what I was expecting. That actually does sound like a new sound from Noel. Very daring and experimental. Also, did I head Bono's voice in there? Holy moly! Totally unexpected. Not sure if I like what I've heard there.

True, but as pointed out before songs are usually released on Fridays. Dropping it on a Monday would be odd. Still hoping we might get to hear some music today, maybe a snippet at least... And also true is most bands do album announcements on Fridays with the single so it’s odd to do Monday and then Friday. A snippet? That is what bands like U2 and Radiohead did back in the year 2000. We are fucking far from that. We had a preview of Wall of Glass too!

I saw you tweeted something about 9/29 being the release of Beautiful World. Super lame if he only announces the album tomorrow with no single to support it. You wanna give this promotion legs. Only music can do that. True, but as pointed out before songs are usually released on Fridays. Dropping it on a Monday would be odd. Still hoping we might get to hear some music today, maybe a snippet at least...
