I decided to wait until friday, but I see that most of the people here decided to listen to the leaked songs already. How much do you rate this album after few listens?

OK quick review / first thoughts on first listen. Wall Of Glass: cool opening song, not too keen on the harmonica parts. And the song sounds overall too compressed, a shame really 7/10 Bold: I like it, nice melody, and the production is much better than Wall Of Glass. 7.5/10 Greedy Soul: very BRMC like guitars at the start. I also (like others) miss the trumpets. Nice tune, really starts off at the second verse 7/10 Paper Crown: the voice is great. Beautiful, heartfelt sung. The live version was ok-ish for me with potential, it turned out very good, this is really a great version. 8/10 For What It's Worth: started to grow on e since that Air Studio version. Ok,a cheeky song (the 'sometimes we lose our way part and the bridge), but once you've heard it, you'll be humming it for an hour afterwards. A song that would be a big hit if released by Robbie Williams (reminds me of Sexed Up and Come Undone 7/10 When I'm In Need: very fresh, it doesn't sound like any other Liam song. I wouldn't say the ending 'saves' the song, but it makes it more interesting. A grower 7/10 You Better Run: we're in Beady Eye territory. Thank god for the horns (and overall production). A nice upbeat song, nothing more, nothing less. 6.5/10 I Get By: the album flows pretty well, but I think this should have been placed somewhere else on the album. Again, the horns add something good to the song 6/10 Chinatown: I was surprised when it came out. Nice tune, a bit different. I like the chorus and the "ahhh" bit 6.5/10 Come Back To Me: great vocals, the way he sings "exploding" for example, someone mentioned today that Liam's phrasing is good. And it is noticable on this track. Nice tune, good guitar solo. Like on other tunes the drums sound a bit thin though. A grower for sure 7/10 Universal Gleam: again, a song that sounds like Beady Eye but with good production. Some of it reminds of a mix of (blur's ) Tender and Won't Let You Down (not only the lyrics 6.5/10 I've All I Need: I was really curious about the final results after the live version. One of my favorites on the album. 8/10 -------------- Overall: the production sounds fresh. But that's also because it hasn't got that big wall of sound sound I'm used to. So maybe it's a bit light and clean for me in some parts. The voice is great though. I really started worrying after Heathen Chemistry and Don't Believe The Truth. He sounds great again, although you clearly hear some auto tune and high pitching here and there (which makes his voice less rawer unfortunately). Makes me more wonder how songs like Everybody's On The Run, If I Had A Gun would have sounded with this voice. Also this album's full of melodies, the main reason I fell in love with Oasis in the first place. And whereas the Beady Eye songs mainly showed potential, a lot of their tunes sounded unfinished. Decent album, hopefully it will grow on me: 7/10 The bonus tracks: It Doesn't Have To Be That Way- unlike any other Gallagher song. Only for that reason an pleasant surprise All My People / My Mankind- nice bonus track Never Wanna Be Like You- nice bonus track

Like DGSS, I find I like the start and end of the album the best, while the middle has the weakest songs. While unlike DGSS, the middle still has quality. From For What It's Worth through Chinatown is where the album drops off a bit. Not badly, still good songs for sure. but 1-4 and 10-13 are the best. Honestly the last 2 bonus songs I really like too.

Its stronger than anything Beady Eye. It's nothing revolutionary nor am I blown away by anything, but its a pleasant listen at the least. There's a few really strong tunes, notably Bold, You Better Run, and Paper Crown. More tunes that did nothing for me than those that did though.
Gave it a 5 on first listen, I can see it growing on me a bit, but it won't be a regular spin for me. I don't think he has the vocal chops he once did and the edits are a bit too clean, but I don't dislike it and I'm glad for him that it's not a turd. He clearly had a good team working with him on this record.

You can't really judge this early, but I could see it ending up anywhere from 6.5 to 8 for me. Definitely better than both Beady Eyes releases (4 and 5.5, respectively).

6.5 or 7 in total.
Several tunes are REALLY good, but there are also several not soo good ones (and some crap ones) on there.
Anyway, I'm really happy to get about 4 or 5 new great songs sung by Liam, and sung mostly in a great way. A really long time since that happened last time.

I've listened to some tracks more than others but these are some of my thoughts so far.
Wall of Glass: About as good a debut single as we could have hoped. It's upbeat, surprisingly funky and all the instruments have bite behind them. Not a huge fan of the drums but other than that it's solid. Best song on the album. 8 Bold: One of the better tracks Liam's written. Still not sold on that "soft soap" line. Horribly overproduced. 7 Greedy Soul: A little disappointed to see Kurstin on the writing credits as I thought this was one of Liam's strongest ever songs. Possibly the best flowing verse-bridge-chorus on the album. Some of the lyrics are a little goofy but I like them overall. Much better live unfortunately. Could have been great. 7.5 Paper Crown: Nice enough but not my kind of thing. 6.5 For What It's Worth: Kinda has a Be Here Now ballad vibe going on. Prefer it in the context of the album. Sounds more expansive somehow. The live version at Air Studios was a little better though. Again not my kind of thing. 6.5 When I'm in Need: The faux demo beginning sounds like a naff filter. Low fi gets much better than this. Doesn't sound like a Liam written chorus so I'm surprised that he's listed as the sole songwriter. Instrumentally it's quite interesting but again overproduced. 6.5 You Better Run: Very Beady Eye like. Needed to be a lot more rocking. Some strange instrumental choices. Overproduced. 6 I Get By: Very Beady Eye like. Needed to be a lot more rocking. Some strange instrumental choices. Overproduced. 6 Chinatown: Some pretty terrible lyrics but I like the guitar and synths. Possibly the catchiest chorus on the album. I reckon they could have made it even bigger if they wanted. Again the production is questionable. 7 Come Back to Me: Strong Britpop-esque verses. A nice surprise for me. Not the best guitar solo but I like how messy it sounds. More guitars needed. 6.5 Universal Gleam: Yeah, it sounds a lot like Tender but who cares, it's pretty good. The chorus is just OK and I don't like the motormouth line. Would have liked to heard it in the context of another producer. 6.5 I've All I Need: Another nice surprise and a fitting end to the album. Strong verse/chorus combo. Some nice guitar work. Even the horns work. 7
Doesn't Have to be that Way: Erm? Bad. Really bad. Can't believe some of the reviews people are giving it. Almost certainly the most obnoxious chorus ever linked to a Gallagher. 3 All My People / All Mankind: Very forgettable. 3.5 I Never Wanna Be Like You: Jesus Christ them lyrics. The chorus sounds like a refrain from a Taylor Swift song. 3.5

7.5, but I'll round it to an 8 because it well surpasses all expectations.
Nice one, RKID.

8/10
Wall Of Glass 8/10 Bold 7/10 Greedy Soul 8/10 Paper Crown 9/10 For What It's worth 7/10 When I'm In Need 8/10 You Better Run 7/10 I Get By 6/10 Chinatown 7/10 Come Back To Me 8/10 Universal Gleam 8/10 I've All I Need 8.5/10 . . Doesn't Have To Be This Way 8/10 All My People 7/10 Never Wanna Be Like You 6/10
Nothing earth shattering on there but nothing even below average either. Absolutely love this album. His voice is fucking shit hot on it as well. Production is a bit loud and distorted at times but they get most of the songs right. Greedy Soul was botched a bit, but is still pretty good, shame as it could have been fucking immense

just one word: boring. it's an album full of liam-by-numbers-b-sides. 5/10.
honestly, it's beyond me how someone can rate it any better than a 6 or 7 ( and that's only cos it's liam from oasis). how did you guys rate real master pieces or old oasis classics? hilarious!

It’s a strong 7 to me at the moment. A strong 7 is where I am for now. I'm trying not to over listen to avoid getting sick of it. I'm enjoying what I'm hearing so far but I can't see me going any better than 8.

The albums' problem is Beady Eye's much unexpected comeback in its middle section, no-one asked for that. Very poor run of 3 songs. There's some good stuff on there (nothing mind blowing, and the production needs more bite) but it's hard when you know you have to get through that middle section.
Please ditch the tedious Liam filler next time, and get in some writers who can give his songs the bite his real life persona carries.

I said there is a run of 3 poor songs that it suffers for. I even said there's some good stuff on there. Do things have to be so black and white? Does everyone have to think everything on the album is the best music ever made? I can't say I take very seriously the opinions of people who think it has no flaws. Dark side of the moon has flaws for christ's sake. I'm pleased people like it. I'm not sure what relevance that has to my personal opinion though? Should I change it to be like everyone else? Plenty of your reviewers have noted the weaker songs by the way.

It’s an 8 from me. Fewer plodders than latter day Oasis/Beady Eye and what plodders there are are elevated by some decent production and the range in sound. There’s also some genuinely brilliant songs in Paper Crown, When I’m in a Need, I’ve All I Need, Come Back To Me and, Doesn’t Have to Be This Way. Very impressed.
