A 7/7,5 for me It's an enjoyable listen for sure, I haven't been blown away by it but it's a solid record from start to finish with Bold and I'Ve All I Need being highlights The latter especially is a great great tune

7/10 - It is nice, fresh and I like it... But I can feel that this will have to be listened to sporadically otherwise I will get bored of this.
This is obviously my personal opinion, but Liam can be bloody proud of this Album, I hope it charts well for him personally as I really thinks he needs it and deserves it as he really has turned things around.
I am going to enjoy this LP until NG's turn comes round later next month, I am very hopeful on this one I must say.

I'd give it a 7. It's a step in the right direction from Beady Eye, that's for sure. Strong opening, strong ending, but too much filler in between, including the awful (and we're talking not even good enough for making it on to a Beady Eye album-awful) You Better Run. But yes, it is still the best post-Oasis album. And it must be said, great production!

Its a 9/10 for me (but i give it a clear 10/10. 5 stars *****/*****) As a whole it's better even than the new Spoon album (i adore Spoon) and my verdict has nothing to do with my love for Liam (#teamfanboyLiam)...i believe its a very strong album with no fillers, full of singles and top moments. its hard to find an album like AYW these days. in britpop days it could be a million seller. the best britpop album we could have without sounded dated at all.

1. ‘Wall Of Glass’ 8.5/10
Very catch riff and melody, memorable, great attitude, strong vocals and cool lyrics. Ending could be more inventive, if only.
2. ‘Bold’ 5/10
I don't understand the hype. The line "you didn't do what I was told" continues to make zero sense and have zero meaning to me.
3. ‘Greedy Soul’ 7/10
Nicely constructed, punky, fun rocker - it doesn't try to be more than it is. Chorus could be better, live version is def better and i think something this aggressive needs a rough vocal and more instrumentation. "Ropey do / giving up" lyric sucks.
4. ‘Paper Crown’ 4/10
I just find this whole song cringey, I can't even listen to it. This reminds me of Millionaire by Beady Eye, which to me, is not good.
5. ‘For What It’s Worth’ 8/10
Yes, it's a bit too pop. Closer to the live version video would be better. But the opening is immediate and catchy, lyrics poignant, imaginative, nostalgic, really enjoy it on repeat. Chorus could be a bit catchier / less wordy, and the outro bridge is a bit lame, to me.
6. ‘When I’m In Need’ 7/10
This is a tricky one. I really don't enjoy the shit phone recording beginning. Voice should be deeper /rougher overall. BUT. The melody is so good. The ohohohoh stuff is angelic and choir like which is really cool...but the ending...woah. COME BEHOLD ME!!!! Love how he shouts it. What a spine tingling moment. He deserves that cockiness.
7. ‘You Better Run’ 5/10
It's not that bad, it's just a bit boring. And for Liam, isn't that a crime? Chorus bit cheesy. The live version kicks ass, recorded version lacks the menace.
8. ‘I Get By’ 5/10
The Only love bit is pretty cool, the rest is a bit boring.
9. ‘Chinatown’ 8.5/10
Fucking trippy, beautiful, takes you to another place. The chorus seems over produced but overall, it really brings Liam inside my head and it's on repeat for me.
10. ‘Come Back To Me’ 8.5/10
Maybe the best fast paced song I've heard from Liam since....Wall of Glass..or...the Hindu Times/Lyla. His voice has the most edge here out of the whole album and the chorus is genuinely satisfying. This reminds me of Oasis. Probably too many words to be a single but, fuck it. Slightly poppy / trying to be cool but....he's tried to be a rocker and come off a bit square on some songs but this one does pull of being genuinely cool.
The lyrics for once are pretty dope and nothing cheesy in there, guitars are strong and they get more stuck in and wild... there's little holding back here. "Trying to make the scene" - love how he sounds modern not like an old man.
11. ‘Universal Gleam’ 6.5/10
This song shouldn't get such a high rating, but its just produced to perfection. It's trippy and positive and knows what it is. I like it.
12. ‘I’ve All I Need’ 5/10
A boring ending, let's be honest. It's not very opinionated. It's just an 'everything's alright' kind of plodding song. Don't see any emotional charge really. "Thanks for all your support" - really?
13. 'Doesn't Have To Be That Way" 7/10
The verse is kinda cringe but the hook at the start is one of the coolest things I've ever heard from Liam. Purely for that, 6.5/10.
Fuck knows about the last 2.
TL;DR - 7/10. This album is a success, it has enjoyable highs. I'm happy, Beady Eye can be forgotten. Roll on Album 2!!!

Not more than 6/10 after first listen. Paper Crown and For What It’s Worth one after the other is too much for me. Lame as fuck.
It seems that Wall Of Glass is the best song there and most of us wasn't even satisfed with that song after first few listens because we expected chorus after listening those previews. But yeah, it is really good song with all its faults but it seems that everything went downhill from there.
Come Back To Me is the only one that sounds interesting to me after first listen from the songs that I haven't heard in studio version (all songs except singles). And singles after WOG are meh. I like Greedy Soul live version and I said before that is on the edge to be just another Beady Eye's rocker but that song just works, it has something extra quality, x factor. But with this studio version, I'm not sury anymore.
Just an honest opinion, I'm sorry if anyone is offended by it. That's just what I feel.

Wall of Glass 7/10 - Decent rocker and a good lead single. Unfortunately, totally ruined by the mix. 'Loudness war', anyone?
Bold 7/10 - Liam's been trying to write this song for a long time and at last he suceeded. Good lennonesque song that finally doesn't sound like a parody.
Greedy Soul 7/10 - Could use more punch. The production seems too sterile. Everything sounds like Garage Band presets. The song itself is good though.
Paper Crown 6/10 - Starts with a good melody, then goes nowhere. It's something that Chris Helme could have written.
For What it's Worth 4,5/10 - Songs like this are usually submitted to Eurovision by Belgium or Poland and get 11th place.
When I'm in Need 4/10 - Is it a leftover from BE?
You Better Run 3/10 - It makes 'The Meaning Of Soul' sound like a classic. Pointless piece of music.
I Get By 2/10 - Basically Liam took 'Ain't Got Nothing', switched the verses with the choruses and re-wrote the lyrics. Worst song by Liam ever.
Chinatown 7/10 - Sounds surprisingly fresh. Interesting, dreamy vibe. I don't even mind the lyrics. Nice one!
Come Back To Me 8/10 - Probably the best song on the album. Good writing, good mix of instruments and not "obvious" production. Also, love the solo.
Universal Gleam 2/10 - It's like Blur's 'Tender' had an ugly and stupid child with Lennon's 'Real Love'.
I've All I Need 7,5/10 - Very, very solid piece of Pop-Rock, I've thoroughly enjoyed it. The lazy Middle 8 holds it back from being superb.
BONUS
It Doesn't Have To Be That Way 7,5/10 - Charlatans meet Temples meet Tame Impala. In a GOOD way! Adventurous tune that fits Liam's voice really, really good.
All My People 5/10 - Typical plodding Liam. Not a terrible song, but sounds like something Denny Laine would try to put on any of Wings' ablums.
I Never Wanna Be Like You 3/10 - Same as above, but worse.
Overall 6,5/10. Some really enjoyable songs and some trully horrific. My main problem with this record are not the songs, cause I have expected that level, the bigger issue is the clean, sterile, rock-by-numbers production. Big label syndrome, I guess.

I went for 8, which is about the maximum I could expect to give an album where Liam has written half the songs. Some of them are a real surprise, the rockers in the middle the weakest part, like others have said.
Wall of Glass 8, decent opener and first single Bold 8, surprised how much I ended up liking it, I thought it was going to be awful and I don't really like the live version but the ending is top Greedy Soul 7, nearer the live version it would have got a better mark Paper Crown 8.5, good job getting Kurstin on board, he just added a bit more quality and melody to the album, plus brilliant vocal FWIW 6, still meh When I'm In Need 8, really like this one, the way it meanders in different directions, probably like Liam's other better efforts like BOADC The two 'rockers' don't really do anything for me, but I guess needed a spot as Liam-written songs Chinatown 7, just about deserves a 7 Come Back To Me 7.5, good old fashioned Oasis stomper Universal Gleam 6, the vocal makes this worth listening to, otherwise pretty average I've All I Need 9, for me the best song Liam has ever written
Bonus tracks are 9, 3 and 3 respectively. The last two songs are a reminder of just how bad this album could have been if some on here had had their way and Liam written it all on his own. He rhymes cheese with selfies FFS! Anyway, I really enjoyed it, his voice elevates it from a 7 to an 8.

Very tough to give it a number. Maybe an 8? The numbers I put beside each song is my ranking of it from 1-15.
Wall of Glass (7): Great opener, lots of energy and a lot of fun.
Bold (3): I loved it from the minute I heard the pub version. To me, it was Liam to a tee. The studio version absolutely delivers and more. It's what Liam does well.
Greedy Soul (9): Very good song, not a standout, but I love Liam's snarl on long waayyyy doooowwwn. Live is dirty.
Paper Crown (8): Did not like the live version. Sounded bland and Liam sounds pretty brutal. But the album version is very nice.
For What Its Worth (12): Its good, just very very generic. And unlike everyone else, I find the middle 8 saves it! Love how the swallow my pride part hits you on the way to the last chorus.
When I'm In Need (10): I like it. I do. But I'm really struggling to hear it as a top song on the album like most do. I'm sure it will grow on me more. But for now it doesn't standout.
You Better Run (15): Eh.... Not horrible at all, but eh....
I Get By (14): Lots of energy but thats mostly it.
Chinatown (11): Nice little song, love some of the noises, love the production.
Come Back to Me (6): This one kinda hits you hard. Love the melody and love how Liam elevates it.
Universal Gleam (4): From the second Liam says Here comes my epiphany I am instantly hooked. Love the vocal on this song. Again, Liam to a tee.
I've All I Need (2): This song is special. I love the riff and melody. When Liam starts the verse with tomorrow never knows leading to the Yoko wings lyric, it is so haunting. It is incredible. Also love the bit leading up to the solo (and whatever Liam whines) and the solo. What a song. This is a top post Oasis song no doubt.
Doesn't Have To Be That Way (1): Incredible. Liam doing Tame Impala. Heaven. The doesn't have to be that way is heavenly and absolutely infectious. I understand why its the most polarized song so far, and I hope album 2 is littered full of these. Unreal.
All My People / All Mankind (13): Nice and haunting, not a standout, but still really like it.
I Never Wanna Be Like You (5): This is actually amazing. Only Liam could make this sound so good. I don't care if its silly. The song gets stuck in your head. And it builds really nicely to the piano part, which is lovely. A bonus throwaway that turned out to be a standout. Where have I head that before? So good.
This is the best post-Oasis release. Even the lower middle section isn't bad at all. Honestly, I'm not sure how Liam could make something much better than this, aka to the people who said "good start or good effort", I don't think you should be expecting much more than this. Why? Cause this is so fucking good.

For me, after 4 listens, it's gotta be a 5 or 5,5/10. Not disappointed or anything, it's more or less what I was expecting. It's really great to hear Liam singing that good again.
Must try a review track by track after an other listen.

One listen... first impressions... nothing more...
01. Fantastic 02. Fantastic 03. Alright 04. Fantastic 05. Alright 06. Fantastic 07. Meh 08. Alright 09. Alright 10. Fantastic 11. Alright 12. Alright
Overall it falls in the top part of ALRIGHT for me.
For those of you into numbers... somewhere around a 6.5.

I don't know if anyone knows about this, but I types 'Universal Gleam' into google, and it turns out Liam wanted to name 'BE' the same thing. He must've had this song for a while! www.nme.com/news/music/beady-eye-76-1265823

My review. Note: I did warn everyone yesterday. Wall of Glass: Still a great comeback single. One of Liam’s best vocals, some really good lyrics, and a good fat sound. My favorite part of the song is still the bass tone. More Gallagher songs need that kind of fat bass. It gets a little bit repetitive toward the end, especially the guitar lines, but Liam’s voice is enough for me not to care: 8/10Bold: This was one of the songs I was most incredulous with when we first heard the pub recording. I’m still not a fan of that middle 8 at all (the build back to the chorus isn’t fluid at all), and I don’t like the double tracking of Liam’s voice in the chorus, also the clap track is a little too poppy. I like the addition of the piano in the second chorus, and the guitar lines are simple but effective. I really like the layering in the last chorus with the counter-vocal melody. I think that’s one of the best parts of the album. Even if it does get a little bit crowded, it keeps the end from being as repetetive as Wall of Glass and is a good payoff. 8/10Greedy Soul: At first, I was disappointed by the studio version, considering the live iteration is so good. I think the “You’ve been telling lies, the slippery kind” is probably one of my favorite lyrics in a while, but man, the “ropey-dope” line is a super cringe. I’d like for the drums to be higher in the mix, and for the solo to be higher with more treble. I really wanted this to be earthy, with more of Wall of Glass’s production. Still, I’ve warmed to this since we first heard it and it’s one of my favorite songs on the album. 7.5/10Paper Crown: I think this is where my thoughts diverge from most of the forum. I like the “wolf is at the door” line, but I hate the note Liam hits on the “don’t look down.” I also think the drums are too high in the mix. The way they enter in is probably the most cliché moment on this album, and I don’t think this song really needs drums. I think this is vomit-like production, a spewing of everything. The producer is Kurstin, and it sounds like he can’t wait to throw every bit of reverb he can find. Sometimes that can be effective, like Chinatown, here not as much. The vocal effect on the “bright light of the sun” with the slide is completely overcooking a song. It’s adding effects for no other reason other than you can. All-in-all, I would have liked to have heard this song stripped down and not overproduced. I think it too often jumped into the overly sappy territory that some of Liam’s stuff can fall into. 4/10For What It’s Worth: In its defense, I still believe this is good songwriting. There’s almost nothing wrong with it, it’s literally perfect, and that’s the problem. It’s perfect. A little too overly polished. But I still like the lyrics, the vocal, the melody. It just sounds too Adele (and this would have been a massive hit had she sung it). It also has my favorite line of the album, “So we’re in the crossfire of this whispering war.” Fantastic alliteration and imagery. I think I might be rating this higher than most people, but if a song has great songwriting and a great vocal, then how low can you really rate it? 7/10When I’m in Need: I hate the intro pho-demo portion. It’s idiotic, serves no purpose, and is too gimmicky. It’s probably the major portion of the entire album, where if I had been writing a song like this, it would have been cut. A lot of people like this song, but I personally don’t get it. Everyone has different tastes, but there are too many “Ahhhhh’s” in it for me. That sounds like a petty critique, but it does get overdone here. For me, this whole song is big production and a lot of flash, but there’s no substance or meat. It ends and I don’t know what the hell the song is about. I hate saying, “strip away everything and there’s nothing,” but strip away everything and there’s nothing. Most of the song sounds like it was ripped from a commercial, and there’s something too clean and facile about it. It’s a bigger Who Feels Love, but hollower. Like does Liam sing any other verse after the first? It’s mostly a better produced Beady Eye song, great idea, with no follow through. 5/10 You Better Run: Clearly the change of pace track on here, much like Mucky Fingers before it. Much like Mucky Fingers, it is what it is. Filler, album track, Ain’t Got Nothin’ redone, whatever you want to call it. But it falls into the once you’ve heard the first minute, then you can stop playing it category. It will most likely be the most skippable track here. On my fifth listen, I’m already tempted to skip it. 3/10I Get By: This song is super DBTT, except with slightly better production. It’s basically filler, and another 6/8 or ¾ song by Liam. He can’t get enough of those type of songs. The ‘never look back’ section is near cringe for me, and the bridge does nothing but buy time. From 1:54 to 2:14, quite literally, nothing happens. Just emptiness. It’s just there to fill some space and waste some time. Crazy thing, I’m pretty sure there’s great instrumentation in there, but a lot of it is buried in the mix. Also, the pickup switch at the end is hokey and annoying. 3/10Chinatown: I really enjoy this song. It’s so easy to overdo reverb and delay. But when it’s done right, caking a song in it can sound fantastic. I love dreamlike songs, and this falls in that category. Are the lyrics great? Eh, I try not listen to them on this, I really, really, really do. But Liam does sound good, and it’s a simple song. It kinda has that World Outside My Room quality. I especially like the bridge because it also has kind of a Cigarettes in Hell feel to it. It’s a good change of pace from the overly rocky songs coming before it. The song would have been better received had it stayed an album track, and not released as a type of single. 7/10Come Back to Me: For some reason the beginning had an I am the Walrus feel to it. I can’t tell what’s happening with the drums. I want to say it’s the high hat, but there’s too much of the splash instead of the hit. The splashes take up too much room, and really conflicts with Liam’s voice. Overall, it’s the biggest Beatles-ape of the album, next to Universal Gleam. But it serves its purpose as the change of pace rock song more than I Get By or You Better Run. It’s a solid album track. 6/10Universal Gleam: At first, I thought this song was too slow, it still might be. But of the ballads, I think it’s the best next to For What’s its Worth. Obviously, it literally sounds like a complete rip-off of Blur’s Tender, but I don’t mind that because I adore that song. I like the, “Gonna spit you out of my motor mouth” line, even if it serves no purpose. The slide sounds really good, and gives a clean song a little bit of dirt. It really gets at the heart of what Liam is really good at, chilled out songs. I might feel like it’s more of Beady Eye’s worst moments before long, but I have a feeling that won’t happen. I think this will age fairly well. As of the moment, I think it’s the highlight of the second half of the album. 8/10I’ve all I Need: I’ve been trying to rack my brain on what this sounds like. I keep thinking it sounds like a Radiohead song in the beginning. The verses sound really good, but I’m not a fan of the B-section (Not calling it a chorus because it doesn’t feel like one) I think dynamically, the B-section is mixed too loud compared to the previous section (that could be just because it goes from sparse to crowded). Overall, it’s a solid album track, but I don’t think it should have been the closer. The sentiment is there, but I’m left wanting more (and not in a good way). 5/10Bonus TracksDoesn’t Have to be That Way: No, just no. I think it might be a really interesting song with anyone but Liam. I don’t think his voice fits that Tame Impala sound at all. I think this would be much better as a collaboration, with Liam doing the chorus and harmonizing, and someone else doing the verses. Also, if it was shorter. Get in and get out. I can imagine this being Kurstin saying to Liam, “try this,” hearing it and then saying, “We’ll think about that.” 4/10All my People/All Mankind: Remember when I said that You Better Run was the most skippable track? Yea, changing that. Lyrics are beyond awful, even for a Gallagher related song. It sounds like autopilot. 2/10I Never Wanna Be Like You: I’d like for these songs to stop existing in Liam’s discography. At times he can be a really inventive songwriter, but when he writes songs where the aim is clear then it just doesn’t hold any weight. It’s Don’t Brother Me part 2. I’m really glad this didn’t remotely make the album. There are two major contributions that people Kurstin, Wyatt, Tighe, and Aldred made, creating good songs for Liam to sing and then making sure this song is as unlistenable to as many people as possible by pushing this off the official tracklisting. 2/10Overall, if you had told me a year ago that we’d get this from Liam I’d be satisfied and celebratory. Liam sounds great and most of the songs sound fantastic and vivid. Most of the album is well produced, nevertheless, there are a few missteps. It also falls prey to the post-2000 Gallagher curse, of a strong first half and a really shaky second half. Make this album into an 8 song EP/LP and it would be perfect imo. But there’s a layer of ill-advised rockers that bring it down, also I would have liked a little more variety. Lots of the songs sound almost undistinguishable from each other, especially in the second half. This album really reminds me of NGHFB. Meat and potatoes, stick to what you know, even at the risk of sounding samey. Both of them have the same type of highs, with a penchant for overproduction, and some of the same lows. Having said that, having heard the bonus tracks, I do believe that they made the right tracklisting choices (a rarity for a Gallagher album). I’m most glad that this is good enough, and will sell well enough, for us to get a second Liam album. I'll probably be seeing most of you at the Riv in November 6.5/10

First listen, 7/10 at least - enjoyable with no real duds and several highlights. Much more consistent than anything BDI ever did, and with the rock sound Liam always promised. It's not the second coming of Definitely Maybe but could easily slot in as a good post 2000 Oasis album.

3.8/15 (or 3/10 for comparisons sake) It Doesn't Have To Be That Way - 6 Almost gives me a "modern hit" feeling. Britpop/Blur meets Daft Punk. I like. Wall Of Glass - 7 The compression on the kick drum is awful. Great tune with lots of "Liam attitude" I Never Wanna Be Like You - 3 Decent filler. Doesn't go anywhere. Decent vocal moments, terrible lyrics. Chinatown - 6 Nice tune, great atmosphere, down to earth. A bit too bare bones. The guitar is too polished, should've been more "edgy" like the live versions. I've All I Need - 2 Oh dear. Slow tempo filler. Yawn. Soldier on.... Soldier on... Wigwam.... All I need.... Nice solo. For What It's Worth - 7 Nice tune, great vocals. As with many Liam tunes, there's something missing and I can't quite put my finger on it Paper Crown - 5 Live versions gave me high hopes. Left me hoping for more. Really nice vocal recording, sounds like Liam is in your living room. Thinking the instrumentation let it down and there seems to be compression issues on this one too. Bold - 5 Meh. Decent tune, average instrumentation. I'm not quite feeling it. My toe tapped a bit during the outro though. Universal Gleam - 1 Oh dear. Slow tempo filler. Did anyone say BEIGE ?? I skipped it half way through. When I'm In Need - 3 Nice verses, nice vocals. Doesn't do much else for me. You Better Run - 3 Meaning Of Soul, Ain't Got Muffins, It Beats Me Mama.... Heard it all before. Greedy Soul - 1 Meaning Of Soul, Ain't Got Muffins, It Beats Me Mama, You Better Run.... Heard it all before. Not feeling this at all. All My People/All Mankind - 2 Nice intro. Hmm... I Get By - 1 Meaning Of Soul, Ain't Got Muffins, It Beats Me Mama, You Better Run you Greasy Soul.... Heard it all before. Not feeling this at all. Come Back To Me - 6 Bob Dylan writes a britpop tune and succeeds. Toe tapping returned on this one. Nice dirty solo. All Along The Watchtower, that's the one.

Wall of Glass: okayish, but not as good as people think it is. 6,5/10 Bold: a bit boring, but still in the okayish-range. typically liam-by-numbers. 6/10 Greedy Soul: again liam-by-numbers, but worse. 5/10 Paper Crown: could have been some beady eye song, which i've already forgotten about, cos i couldn't be arsed to listen to it again. i like the second part better. 6/10 For What It’s Worth: i have to use that description again: Songs like this are usually submitted to Eurovision by Belgium or Poland and end up in the 11th place. the chorus... so fucking bad... the beginning is actually pretty okay, but fuck me, that chorus... 4/10 When I’m in Need: boring, stupid intro, liam by numbers. 4/10 You Better Run: lord don't slow me down? filler. heard worse. 6/10 I Get By: liam by numbers when he tries to write a rocker. 5/10 Chinatown: see paper crown. has its moments. 6,5/10 Come Back to Me: see you better run. 6/10 Universal Gleam: liam by number when he tries to write an epic song with many aaaahhhs. 5,5/10 I’ve all I Need: i like it. good one. 8/10 Bonus Tracks Doesn’t Have to be That Way: reminds me of the really early oasis demos. i like it. 8/10 All my People/All Mankind: and another liam by numbers without any suprises or anything that makes it interesting. i've heard worse though. 5,5/10 I Never Wanna Be Like You: another beady eye fan favorite. 5/10

I actually quite enjoy I Get By and You Better Run. I think they serve their purpose as the "rocker" tracks - I don't think I'll listen to them independent of the album, but I'm not gonna skip them. Can't believe they're next to each other in the original tracklist, though. Like I say:
1) Wall of Glass 2) Greedy Soul 3) Bold 4) For What it's Worth 5) I Get By 6) Paper Crown 7) Come Back to Me 8) You Better Run 9) Chinatown 10) It Doesn't Have to Be this Way 11) When I'm in Need 12) All I Need

I don't get it why people here hate For What It's Worth. This is one of the best post Oasis tracks. God. It's really not. I don't hate the track. But it's nothing that special.

Wall of Glass (8.5/10): Awesome opener. This is exactly what you'd expect from a Liam Gallagher solo track in a very good way and they made the right decision to release this as the first single. It does have a bit of a poppy feel, which knocks it down a little bit, but other than that, it's a top tune. Bold (6/10): It's alright, but it's too similar to Start Anew. Plus, the glossy production only hides the fact that it's a typical Liam acoustic song. I like how it's structured, though, Greg Kurstin did a good job working with Liam on this. Greedy Soul (7/10): Very similar to Wall of Glass, very good Liam rocker, but I just wish the electric guitars were louder and that there was electric guitars instead of acoustic in this, like how the live version is, then it would've been improved by a bit. Paper Crown (5/10): See Bold; Although this was not wrote by Liam so it gets a point knocked off for me since it doesn't stand out too much like it should for a song like itself. For What It's Worth (9/10): I love the Oasis-like vibes that mix with the traditional Liam/BDI flair. Lyrics are very much honest but they're supporting by a good melody which helps. I wish it was a little faster with some more interesting drums, but it's nothing when you get locked into the general feel of this song. When I'm in Need (7.5/10): This is a prime example of where Liam working with producers shines well. Had this been a BDI or Oasis song, we likely would've gotten something like Won't Let You Down or Wigwam which are decent at best but just don't go anywhere. The production on this is very good and serves its time well. I like how it goes in many directions and ends somewhere different from where it starts. You Better Run (6.5/10): This reminds me a bit of The Boys Are Back in Town mixed with Eyeball Tickler. It's very distinctly Liam-like but in a good way. I like the honkey-tonk guitar and the brass section on it. It wants to get repetitious towards the end but doesn't which is another mark on the Liam and producers collaboration as opposed to Liam/BDI on their own. I Get By (5.5/10): It's alright, but it's not an incredibly memorable song, besides the guitar intro. The guitar solo's good, though, but it needs to be turned up some. Next... Chinatown (8/10): I like the similarities between this song and Fleetwood Mac's The Chain. This was a lot better than I thought it was when I first listened to it, quality tune. Come Back to Me (9/10): One of the best tracks on the album. In a pleasant change for solo Liam/BDI songs, it uses its time well and leaves you wanting more. I can't think of anything else that could improve the song, besides going on longer because it is just that good. Universal Gleam (4/10): Ehh, pretty forgettable. I like the production of it though. I've All I Need (8.5/10): Love the chorus on this. It's a different type of song for Liam to be singing, and I was very surprised to see that he got sole writing credit for this song. It's very modern indie rock-like (LCD Soundsystem and War on Drugs come to mind) with a little bit of U2 and Coldplay. I'd love for Liam to do more songs like this. It's a damn good closer to end a pretty solid album overall. ---Bonus tracks---: Doesn't Have to Be That Way (9/10): How did songs like I Get By and Universal Gleam make the cut over this one? This sounds so modern and fresh, and came out of left field, definitely one of the best of the bunch. I'd be willing to bet that this would've been a successful single if it had been released to radio after Wall of Glass. All My People/All Mankind (8/10): Really good. It's a nice mix of a Liam solo track, a HFB track, and Oasis. I like the guitar arpeggio in it and the baroque feel of it. There's some good touches to a song that might've been otherwise forgettable in a BDI setting. I'm pretty impressed with Liam on this song. I Never Wanna Be Like You (3/10): Meh...Worst of the 15 songs I'd say. Overall rating: 7/10; 7.4 (w/o the two outliers) Thoughts: The song quality on this album is pretty consistent. There's no real clunkers on it as even Universal Gleam, the worst song on here imo, is better than a lot of BDI songs since it's not really that offensive like something like Wind Up Dream is. The best songs on this album are very good and are legitimate contenders for being up there as some of the best post-Oasis songs. Liam worked with some good producers and writers on this album and it shows. One thing I will note is that the rockers could have a little more of an edge to them, like Greedy Soul, but otherwise, they sound really good and have more ambition to them than some of the rockers Noel has done (Lock All the Doors). TLDR: Liam is back

7.5/10
Wall of Glass to Paper Crown is a solid run. For What It's Worth brings it to a grinding halt. The mid section of the album is rough with You Better Run and I Get By (I Get By is ok) when When I'm In Need, which is good, is sandwiched between two medicore numbers. Chinatown is an underated filler. Come Back To Me is a BE track on steroids. Universal Gleam is charmingly cliche which I like. I've All I Need closes the album very well.
Bonus tracks: Doesn't Have To Be That Way is what I want to hear from Liam. Can't say you don't want Liam doing Lennon or Jagger/Richards inspired numbers and yet not at least appreciate him going with a modern sound like on this track. All My People had potential with the instrumentation and Melody but the lyrics fall flat. Never Wanna Be Like You is Liam by numbers, nothing more really.

If this was reddit it'd be a quality shit post with 2k upvotes and gilded twice.
