Do we need a Soldier On poll? 🤔😂 If you decide to do that, then you might as well start a thread for the entire catalogue. Go backwards so that the better tunes come around at the end.

So mean yet funny. 😀 It's not meant to be mean... but even the most argent post-2000 Oasis lover has to agree that going from Soldier Ron to Rock n Roll Star would yield better tunes near the end, right? ("typo" intentional)

I like it more with time tbh although I do tend to listen to the Stephen Colbert performance or the Air Studios take a lot more than the released version.

("typo" intentional) Just teasing about you being mean. Unless I start hearing Soldier RON during the song then that is mean. 😉 I wouldn't mind running the poll backwards. You know Heathen Chemistry is one of my favorites. 😎

Still love it, I actually like it more now then when first released. Solid 8 from me, I don't care about it being a cliched ballad or "written to be a hit", who cares, it's a great tune with some brilliant Liam vocals. Absolutely love the Air Studios version.

Just realized that I gave it the only 2 vote (don't remember doing that)... that's not really my true ranking... oh well.

I listened to that song a few times yesterday & I liked it more than before. It's still cheesy, but it could've been much worse: imagine it recorded with the Crouch End Festival Chorus

Played it for my best friend today, a casual American fan. Her knowledge of Oasis stops at BHN, except for the songs I've played her from other albums. Her favorite Oasis tunes are Half the World Away, Wonderwall, and The Importance of Being Idle.
In her own words: "That's better than Oasis".

She went from not even knowing Liam was still active to wanting to find out if we can finagle her a ticket so she can come with me to the DC gig.

For what its worth, worth a 10/10 from me for what it is. A massive sinalong tune, with stunning vocals, great melody and beautiful lyrics.
I and I m glad I m not the only one who says the same

After the hype I was a bit let down at first. Now I love it. Total grower and the live version from that studio was great. Really like this tune and the way he sings instantly when it starts

Still love it. Understand the kewl kids could find it a bit kitschy but I like its saccharine wooziness.

Giving this song time to grow didn't work for me. Really poor effort I am sorry to say.

Still just solid for me. It sounds just like written for the radio and its okay. But although its catchy I find it the least interesting yet. I would be really sad if this would be his main direction.
