Alright I'll post a couple of the most interesting clips and a more detailed explanation probably tomorrow... I've got finals all day today! Thanks very much, I'd appreciate that. Good luck with your finals btw! Thanks! Here's a quick playlist I made last night, I'll have the guide/explanation thing up in a few days. soundcloud.com/pclwg/sets/l4e-oopsOf course, listening in headphones is recommended, because these are in stereo!

Guys, I've tried with a couple of tracks on audacity but to no avail... how's the process to get the OOPS? Once imported click the downward facing arrow and select 'Split Stereo To Mono' then invert one of the 2 tracks and play.

Born On A Different Cloud: yourlisten.com/icebreath/born-on-a-different-cloud-oopsI didn't mention the process i did to make these(it's not the same with OOPS process), so here we go. I used Adobe Audition and the Center Channel Extractor effect. Basically, i removed the center channel from the audio to create an "instrumental" like sound.

I'm playing around with a few tracks myself, Going Nowhere is pretty much instrumental with the acoustic guitar highlighted along with the horns/strings - very interesting.

Really love Weller guitar solo from Champagne Supernova. The guitar solo from this song has been played by 2 of my heroes - my forever guitar hero at Barrowlands and Weller on album.
This is absolutely fantastic. Thank you very much once again to carlober, davidjay, icebreath and footballdropout.

Just checked Turn up the Sun and found from OOPSing it that the track is mainly mono, with some stereo reverb and a couple of guitar and vocal parts. I've attached a clip of Noel's backing vocal here. Turn up the Sun Noel BVs OOPS.mp3 (751.16 KB)

Last OOPS clip from Columbia demo 1 is another chant (doesn't sound like Noel to me, so perhaps it's one of the Real People or maybe another sample). Hard to decipher but to me this sounds like someone yelling "and he stands upon the line" or something similar. Sounds like Liam to me. But I'm deaf so.. Now listening to the OOPSed All Around The World. It's pretty funny, because you can faintly hear Liam's voice, but you can't make out what he sings most of the time and it sounds a bit like the Sims at some bits.

Clip of the OOPSed guitar solo from Turn up the Sun. There's also a piano in there which I don't remember last time I heard the track. That song, and the guitar/piano mix in the OOPS track, are mighty brilliant. The guitar solo sounds like an early version of Alone on the Rope, and there's definitely some interesting pedal work going on. Then again, it was done on a song wrote by Andy Bell, so it makes sense

I'm quite certain if most of these songs that have gone under OOPS treatment had been produced with all of these elements that you can't hear on the track when you play it up front and center, Oasis MK II would be more greatly appreciated. Some of this is amazing

Some of this is amazing I think so too. There are so many cool elements like weird little sounds or cool riffs hidden between the big wall of sound. Such a shame that some of the songs were so overproduced, so that a lot of it was lost. Some of the songs could have sounded a lot more interesting, but ended up a bit boring instead.

Born on a Different Cloud, specifically, is one that could've sounded a lot better, but sounded boring, instead.

Everybody's on the Run: soundcloud.com/m-car/eotr-oops/s-ak07BQuite similar to the choir/strings mix which was on the website in 2011. But you can clearly hear a thunderstorm going on in the background during the first verse! I Believe in All: soundcloud.com/m-car/ibia-oops/s-IOSJmI like this little song. Yes, really. The OOPSed track becomes a nice nearly-instrumental mix, with acoustic guitars on the foreground. Very nice!

I thought I'd try something out with In The Heat of the Moment. You're able to isolate the vocal more if you align two tracks together and invert one. This way, most of the wave form gets cancelled out. It's not perfect, but still interesting enough for some: In the Heat of the Moment (vocal mix)

To be clear, you did this by inverting the OoPS version with the main track, right?
