The Stop Crying Your Heart Out OOPS audio is quite something, especially when you mix that back over the finished mix.

I've used this on my Oasis remix albums quite a bit! It's a neat little trick. Another great band to do this with is the Beatles because of the harsh stereo panning. I also have a method for getting OOPS tracks in stereo (allowing further isolation) if anyone's interested!

Carlober, could you do The Turning? I've already tried this: there's nothing in it that you can't get out of the multitrack version, but if you want I'll post the link tomorrow

Anyone else done this with 'Bag It Up'? Interesting to hear some of noel's vocals more clearly, and acoustic guitar too. I've just tried this one: you do get a very clear version of Noel's backing vocals! It'll be on Soundcloud in a few minutes... ----------------------- EDIT: here it is Bag It Up: soundcloud.com/m-car/bagitup-oops/s-EPsQ4Love it!

These are brilliant, cheers for posting fellas! Is it possible that the 30 second clip of the supposed Don't Go Away demo has been created using this method? Just a thought.

laughing my ass off with Bonehead's Bank Holiday

Clip of Bonehead's Bank Holiday out of phase. You can hear excerpts of Bonehead's take more clearly across the mix. Bonehead: The thing that'll stay with me is Bonehead's Bank Holiday, the song we recorded as the extra track for the vinyl. I remember Noel strumming it out - this really quirky song with really poppy lyrics. And then he says, "I want you to sing it," knowing I can't fucking sing. So Liam takes me down the pub to get some Dutch courage. Two pints turn into six. Soon I'm in double figures. We come back at midnight, legless, and there's Noel and Owen, waiting for me to record my vocal. The lyrics are written down, but I'm too fucking drunk to read, so I've got Liam holding me up, holding the lyrics in front of my face. We're making up the words. Everyone's crying with laughter. Months later I got an envelope through the post with this cassette. It just had BBH written on it and it was five hours of outtakes of Bonehead's Bank Holiday from Owen. I still play it a lot. It's this snapshot of the band at its most harmonious. (MOJO June 2005) Always had a special love for 'Bonehead's Bank Holiday'. One of the most 'pop' sounding song that Noel ever wrote. I reckon had Bonehead actually sung it, it may have been considered somewhat of a legendary song among Oasis fans, even had it been sung very poorly, ha. Imagine if he did it live. A special 'Bonehead Segment' just for a laugh... would of been great. In fact if they ever did reunite someday, that'd be the thing I'd most like to see. Would be a magical moment. They should of made it a bonus track on 'WTSMG', 5 minutes after 'Champagne Supernova' had finished, just a jolly wtf moment.

LOL funny as hell, Bonehead stumbling and mumbling words because he is so smashed. Great work!

Not Oasis, but someone needs to do on for "Everybody's on the Run" and upload it as an attachment here.
The choir, the strings, all of that, would sound epic when brought to the forefront...

All Around the World would be a good one, too. I'm sure there's plenty of beautiful instrumentation within an OOPS mix of it.

Not Oasis, but it's pointless to open another thread in the NGHFB section If I Had A Gun: soundcloud.com/m-car/iihag-oops/s-DEA99you can hear the wonderful piano, while vocals are faint in the background except for Noel's echoing "away!"Record Machine: soundcloud.com/m-car/recordmachine-oops/s-jdSUCthis is really awesome... it's basically a strings and choir mix with some drums in the background! Stop The Clocks: soundcloud.com/m-car/stc-oops/s-YBT8tanother very good OOPSed track: choir and piano, and it's nice to hear more clearly the mess going on at the ending! icebreath posted this on youtube three years ago, so it's not exactly new stuff but I suppose that many people haven't heard it yet!

Could one of you talented folk give Keep What Ya Got a go please? Just to see if it turns out in instrumental form like Where Did It All Go Wrong did.

Could one of you talented folk give Keep What Ya Got a go please? Just to see if it turns out in instrumental form like Where Did It All Go Wrong did. Unfortunately not: you get a more stripped out version of the track, but all the vocals are still there. It's very good though: the piano is more in the foreground and you can hear more clearly Noel's backing vocals. Here it is, together with an interesting OOPSed version of his big brother Teotihuacan: Keep What Ya Got: soundcloud.com/m-car/keepwhatyagot-oops/s-HRT7rTeotihuacan: soundcloud.com/m-car/teotihuacan-oops/s-qycWWI've always loved both of them. Great tunes.
