It's now less than a month until the official release of "BE" and I'm sure most of us have read the track by track reviews from both Q Magazine and the NME. Is anyone aware of any other reviews of "BE" thus far? When can we expect some more widespread reviews?

The guy who organises Hindu Nights (a rather well-known Rock 'n Roll Party in Belgium which already received guests as Paul Gallagher, Oasis Tour DJ, Jeff Woottonn, etc...) posted this on the Hindu Nights Facebook page the 2nd of May:
"I heard the new Beady Eye album the other day (BE) and despite the boring single, the album is really really good. So get your tickets to see them live (and to hear us DJ) at Lokerse Feesten!!"
He has no reason to lie, and it's perfectly possible that he already heard it!

No reason to lie except for the fact that he is DJing at the same place and also seems to be using this tweet to ask people to buy tickets to come and see them as well and also has at least some connection with the bad through Paul and Jeff. Good to hear some more positive feedback from an independent source though. Looking forward to the reviews coming soon. Not that they make any difference in how I enjoy the music but I like the process of sorting through reviews for clues as to what the album will sound like. It's kind of fun IMO. After the album is out I don't really read reviews anymore...but the advanced reviews are an interesting time on the board IMO.

As far as I know him (and that's not very well, only throug media etc.) he seems like an upright bloke though. But still, it gives hope that he thought the rest of the albums was much better than the "boring" single, a thought shared with many on this forum. (Not me, I actually like the single)

There isn't much going on officially so nice to hear something at all really.

My main source gave it a 4/10. And he's normally generous with his reviews. Realistically so yer looking at a 2, 2.5/10. Which I suppose is a slight improvement on DGSS.

I said he gave it 2/5 but he gave it 3.5/5 we worked at the same newspaper for a bit, we share a love for Oasis and we keep in touch by recommending music to each other. He's into indie, singer songwriter, americana and some electronic music. His favourite bands are Eels, The Shins, Wilco, Radiohead and Oasis. some comments on the album from his part: better than Different Gear Still Speeding, musically that is, lyrics are still a bit meh Soul Love and Start Anew are the best songs, Face The Crowd the worst, even worsen than SOTEOTNew Best thing about the album is the musical progression he wouldn't sent me the review, or a copy of his promo...
