I think reviews of all sorts are useful in how they describe the sound and why they think it's good or bad. Final opinion on the songs is a personal thing.

That's why reviews are so subjective this guy said second bite is the the best track where's as king John said its the worst. This guy really likes iz rite where as kingjohn really likes just saying. I think it's promising that different people finding different songs that connect with them Totally, but the overall feeling i get from all those reviews is that the record has 5 good songs max, and the rest is above average. Do i want that in a Liam Gallagher fronted band ? No. Beady should quit if they can't make a 11 strong song record. With 3 songwriters, that's what they should get to. No fillers, no weak tracks, they should have enough material for that. How often do you get an album comprised of 100% great material? Having 3 songwriters doesn't guarantee all great songs, they had 4 in Oasis and couldn't manage it.

Still wondering what Liam meant by "an out there record" Good review. Hoping we get an 8/10 at some point. Shoot for the stars, go 10/10! Kids and their ambition these days...

I love google translate
Noel Gallagher was still some talent in years Oasis to close the donut from his brother regarding the songs. Noel held the canteen and Liam had to eat for free. It was better for everyone. In 2013, no one to annoy Liam Gallagher. Already the task was not easy at the time ... Result: a disk where the Kid is fun. And the turn of events makes him laugh only. Beady Eye
Slimming treatment for Beady Eye. Different Gear, Still Speeding having won more than limited success despite some good songs, Liam Gallagher and his minions have changed producer. Farewell Steve Lillywhite and the classic Hello David Sitek, sorcerer New York in TV On The Radio. At the time of Oasis, the unsuccessful attempts with Death in Vegas had given minutes when the voice of Kid hit dry. And the coming of the Yankee who had never heard of Oasis before being contacted by the group is the only good news sent by Beady Eye.

THe overall consensus of the album seems to be that it is 'sweet' and 'tender' sounding

I think its a bit early for an overall consensus but the early signs are good.

It seems that BE is more even than DGSS.

I love reading all the reviews (good or bad), i dont take them too seriously but its great for getting the hype up.
Very excited knowing soon i'll be hearing 10+ new songs for the first time, hoping i like a fair few. Also really looking forward to hearing 'worlds not set in stone' from the bonus edition.

"WHEN it emerged that arty producer Dave Sitek was overseeing Liam Gallagher’s second post-Oasis effort, eyebrows were raised.
But the first Beady Eye album was so patchy that even Liam admitted it didn’t work – and getting Dave in has transformed them.
Liam actually sounds like he wants to be a singer again, and Dave’s experiments make for great psychedelic tunes.
Mystical chant Iz Rite is a highlight along with Face The Crowd, Liam’s best shouty rocker since Lyla.
Not everything works – there’s one too many ballads – but it proves Liam’s strongest when people are doubting him.
An album to BE proud of."
Finally, praise for Face The Crowd.

The monthly mags will start dropping soon so we should start getting all the prosper reviews thorough

Uncut magazine give the album a good review. They said it was a good balance and a step forward between Sitek's production and Liam and the boys beatle style songs. 7/10

Decent start in terms of major reviews.
They gave NGHFB 2/5 and DGSS 6/10.

Positive that they only have NGHFB a 2/5 and are giving this a 7/10.

Positive that they only have NGHFB a 2/5 and are giving this a 7/10. To be honest, I don't think you can read that much into it. Pitchfork gave HFB a 5.7, but I don't think anyone would say it would be a negative sign if Pitchfork gave BE a 2.1. Or if Mojo gave be a 6/10 to BE instead of the 8/10 it gave to HFB. Just saying, both perspectives work both ways.

Obviously different sites have different opinions on what is good and what isn't, I agree with that. It is a good sign though that they have marked it higher than DGSS, they could of easily panned it if they wanted to.

Mojo were never very positive of anything Gallagher related so 7/10 is pretty good
