1. Hello (more likely Rock N Roll Star) 2. Live Forever 3. Wonderwall (rather they didn't but you just know they'd have to) Liam HAS to sing it 4. Champagne Supernova 5. Don't Look Back in Anger
If a 6th it would be Some Might Say as the 2nd track

I really like I can see it now for some reason. Probably nostalgia reasons. Should have been the last track on DBTT. I've always thought it should be the first track, the lead into Turn Up The Sun

Found an album on Apple Music which is oasis instrumentals but in a lullaby format, and the shock of lightening really does sound quite ominous and menacing when played with a xylophone. I have that on my Ipod, sounds eearily strange...love it

The best ever live performance of Columbia. The passion!! How can you not like this monumental track!! Live it works, it's just the album version I don't like. Also it was the perfect choice to be at the beginning of Supersonic and it was fabulous in the cinema but that's because it was mostly a live version they used

Shitty lyrics? "I can't tell you the way I feel, because the way I feel is oh so new to me" is a GREAT piece of lyricism. On a loop, it looses just how great a lyric it is

Ok, I know I will get shot down for this but what the hell here goes.
Why is there so much love for album version of Columbia? I will never understand it. It’s the same beat all the way through, the type of thing other tracks would get slated for, as well as some of the worst lyrics Noel has ever put on record. People slate tracks like Force of Nature, She Is Love etc but at least they have lyrics which mean a little something, here it just doesn’t. Now, before people jump in and say that the lyrics don’t matter, let me say this. If all that matters is the beat and the lyrics are secondary to that, then why do people not like something like Put Yer Money Where Yer Mouth Is (STOTOG own Columbia) or even (Get Off Your) High Horse Lady as they too have pointless lyric and have a bit of a beat. This is another thing to the whole lyric/beat argument is that Columbia seems to avoid criticism purely because it’s on Definitely Maybe.
Definitely Maybe is a great album, it would be better without deadwood like this song and Shakermaker (which I will talk about at a later date), I always replace it on a playlist for Fade Away and it does a better job than Columbia.
For me, I guess my biggest problem with Columbia is the lifelessness that the recorded version has compared to the live version. Live, the beat works so well, on the album version it’s lifeless and the production of this track is so bad that it hurts my ears to listen to it at times. In my mind, this would almost be saved if it were actually the first track on the album, the lead in to Rock N Roll Star, but I think it fails even in that due to the poor production. It should more like the live version but it isn’t.
That is why I don’t get the love for the song, recorded version anyway, as I have stated above, it gets away with a lot compared to others tracks which do a similar job.

Bit pointless releasing it now...Paper Crown should have come out towards November/December as the momentum was there then

It's definitely Wonderwall and I can't understand why it wasn't mentioned here. Just look at this: Wonderwall - most popular song, Liam's one of the best vocals, it's really good, haters gonna hate, etc. Round Are Way - little story of Manchester soul, very kind, this is a real Oasis Swamp Song - very energetic instrumental, epic, huge, classic The Masterplan - best lyrics, nice melody, everybody loves it Whatever single is very close but personally I don't really like HTWA so I prefer Wonderwall single For me: Wonderwall - It's popular and it is quite good Round Are Way - Decent track let down by the dragged out pointless outro that sounds awful on record The Swamp Song - Okish instrumental but that's all it is...should NEVER have been a b-side let alone on The Masterplan The Masterplan - Decent lyrics (Noel has done far better), melody ok and I will never understand the love for the track

The Man City - Man Utd match was one of the matches of the season. The difference in United and Pogba in the second half was a joy to behold (by all but City fans)...City could go 4 games without a win in all competitions (lose to Liverpool last week, United at weekend, Liverpool tomorrow and Spurs next weekend)

Always found it a little strange that Whatever had Slide Away as b-side and always wondered if that was possibly because Creation wanted Slide Away as the 5th single (sure I remember an interview with Noel about that, Lock the Box interview maybe?) as well as, of course, saving Oasis from recording another song as b-side for the song

Either Some Might Say or Stand By Me for me...though if truth were told, Some Might Say could easily have worked as a standalone EP with the songs that were on there.
For me, the bigger question is which was the worst from the 90's and for that I'd have to sadly go for Live Forever. That single with just an acoustic version of a song on the album and a live version of a song that was realeased two songs ago? Sure Cloudburst is ok but it alone cannot carry it I think this was actually the plan mate. Didn't Some Might Say get put back in in place of Step Out? Was it? Honestly haven't heard of that before. Is that true guigsysEstring ?

The live Supersonic was a way to push them as a live band I guess? Maybe that should have been something different. Alright, I will give you that for Up In The Sky acoustic but Supersonic (live) will always bug me about that single. Are you telling me they didn't have anything else, even demo wise? Why not Strange Thing? That would have fit really nicely

I would say Cigarettes & Alcohol but I can't get past I Am The Walrus. It goes on too long, the outro should have been cut or the track should have been on last. The less said about it being on there anyway when they could have used A N OTHER track that they had stored away (Take Me, Colour My Life etc) and that is why I can't ever give my vote for Cigarettes & Alcohol

Next season will be key for Man City and Guardiola. I think next season it will be a closer title race and City may well even finish 3rd with Pep leaving at the end of the season.
If Real Madrid slip up any more in La Liga and maybe even finish 4th, Zidane out and maybe Klopp in?

Watched these when they were on and that Britpop story was bloody awful. The narrator sounded bored and like he was litterally just reading a script.

Heathen Chemistry as an album is a complete album that just works well with no proper dip.
Dig Out Your Soul as an album dies a death after the half way point.
Heathen Chemistry as an album is better.

The only Oasis song I truly hate is (Get Off Your) High Horse Lady.
Now if there were a thread for songs I found Meh, I'd have a slightly longer list

Wasn't a penalty and the fact even the Italians were waiting to take a corner rather than appealing I think said it all. Only the referee thought it was a penalty
