I was watching Pink Floyd @ Live 8 on YouTube the other day (brilliant show if you haven't seen it) and thought to myself, "that's probably the form an Oasis reunion would take". I can't see Noel and Liam ever reuniting for a tour, but could imagine them appearing together briefly for some kind of charity gig or something.
Pink Floyd only did 4 songs at Hyde Park in 2005, so let's take that as a rough template for a hypothetical mini Oasis reunion show. What would your pick of 4 songs (maximum 5 if you want to put in one Noel song) be for the set?
I'd go with...
1. Rock n Roll Star
2. Live Forever
3. Don't Look Back In Anger (Liam wanders off for a drink)
4. Wonderwall
5. Champagne Supernova (feat John Squire/Paul Weller)
I'm not mad about WW but realistically I think it would have to be in there if it was for a big charity gig akin to Live 8.

He also spoke of his hatred for Damon Albarn and has been quoted during Oasis time as not going solo, such as this for Melody Maker in 1998- The point to that is as he has shown in the past his attitude to subjects, rather like a lot of people, changes over time and it wouldn't be a total surprise if at some point he appeared at another charity style gig. |
