I'd be down for the pumpkins to perform this album front to back and nothing else.

Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness is a great album.....I love that blue disc...it reminds me of high school, and post high school, personally..... Everyone had a copy of Mellon Collie and th Infinite Sadness when it came out..... You kinda have to dig deep to appreciate the blue disc, some great songs on it... Thanks.

I saw the Pumpkins last year, they’re one of my favourite bands and they were fantastic. To see Noel as well would be an amazing 2 for 1 show for me.

Was shocked when I looked at the Camden tickets the other day. Looks like less than half the seats under the roof are sold.
There was even a Craigslist posting for lawn seats that the posted said he was given tixs for free.
I think this is way more reflective of the Pumpkins having little drawing power. Noel would never do a shed tour in US solo. He is great in the larger theaters/clubs.
Noel fans, like myself, are discouraged to have to pay more money than a Noel solo show for a decent seat, and you know going in you’re only getting 60 mins as opposed to 90 mins.
My idea to split seats/lawn tixs w/ a Pumpkins fan would be a great deal, considering it appears you can get lawns for $15/$20

Really disappointed he chose to do this tour over his own

Better than no USA tour at all this summer.

I bought for Columbia, MD and I've decided to skip. - Noel said recently in an interview that he's only up for an hour. - It will take twice as long to get to the venue and back. - I've heard every song he's going to play live a thousand times on YouTube - Not a Pumpkins fan...but do, and always will, love Potatoes...just not this time So, yeah, anyone want to buy my $150 ticket? <sighs deeply>

Looking forward to Toronto, looking forward to the Pumpkins as well, and we sprung for a limo to and from our hotel so I am just going to sit back and enjoy the evening. 🍺🍺 👍👍
I just hope Noel decides to leave his disco ball at home. 🤞

The band are ace and it sounds massive. Not sure how it'll go down with a US crowd but it's been great over here. He's said it'll be an hour gig so I imagine the first half HFB and second half will be Oasis in the main.

Really disappointed he chose to do this tour over his own I think it's because he did his own solo tour of the US back in 2018 and that was the biggest US tour he's done as a solo artist. He either takes a step down or tries to sell out those same size venues again. Given it's the summer this is probably the easiest way to tour at outdoor venues similar size or bigger to the ones he was playing last year, but without having new material (other than BSD) to play. There is logic in it.

There is logic in it. I think that’s more or less right. There were conflicting reports about how successful the 2018 tour was (venues were mostly full, but how many were full of comps...), and I doubt he could do as successful a tour a year later without a new album campaign. Also, I imagine the answer he gave in an interview the other day was the truth - he likes touring with his current band, he likes touring America, the Pumpkins invited him, they made the math work, ergo he’s doing the tour. He wouldn’t have thought of it himself, but presented with the opportunity it seemed like a good one. Most of my favorite “new band” discoveries of the last few years have been from opening acts, and I’m all for more people being exposed to more HFB music.

It’s not really Noel’s job or responsibility to sell out this outdoor venues that hold 15,000-20,000 people. He’s the “opener”. The Pumpkins management got him the cash number he wanted so game on. It’s really up to the Pumpkins to deliver the rest. I saw them last summer at a sold out MSG. 3 hour show. 35 songs. Incredible stuff. They promised another EP by this time and/or album. Didn’t happen. I’m sure their fans are a tad pissed off. Billy, like Noel, loves to talk his ass off.

This whole homeless Woodstock Fest is trying to take our venue for the show at Merriweather. What does it say to ticket buyers when the promoter is out in public saying he’ll host another concert on that date...with free tickets?
Only thing I can think is...IMP (promoter) knows Woodstock won’t ever happen & they’re out for free publicity. Or somehow they turn the Pumpkins into headliners for the day.
Strange. Overall, the show has sold better than the show in Camden, by far...judging by what’s still available on the TM seat maps.
I’m still forecast myself going, but only for a cheap lawn probably.

I thought it would happen sooner. Vol 1 was a return to form, wonder what happened.

That Woodstock fest blew over w/o interfering w/ the date at Merriweather.
Kicks off this Thursday up in Philly/Camden. I can’t foresee Noel putting This Is The Place into the setlist.

I’ll be at the gig on Thursday. Tour opener. Billy recently said the pumpkins finished recording 24 new songs. Gonna finish bass parts and drums post tour. Maybe have it all done by end of 2019. Sounds more like a proper album than EP volume 2. We shall see.
