I think it's fucking ridiculous to be asking for a higher quality leak. Buy the album and rip it yourself I'm tired of your shit, I don't care if you are a mod. No there isn't a higher quality album leak, yet. Next few days according to the gent who leaked the latest record by The Amazing.

Compare with VEVO tracks in youtube and you'll quickly realize that the leak lacks sound quality.

It has to be an original 320 though, not a transcode. some people take 128 kbps mp3 and re-encode them in 320 sometimes.

That's exactly what happened. The frequency content of the leak is more like what you can find in a 128 kbps file

I'd like to know when there's a high quality leak if/when it does happen before the album comes out. I haven't listened to the album yet because I can't stand listening to anything less than perfect quality that isn't how the artist intended it to be experienced.

Some people are never satisfied. First you moan why it hasn't leaked yet, then once you got what you were looking for, then asking if there's a better version. I just don't get it. I have nothing against people download leak, especially for the people outside UK, Europe and Japan as some of them don't know if it'll ever released in their countries. We, European are spoiled. Be happy with what you got or wait for official release like I do. I'm really looking forward to hold my copy of Japanese edition, unwrapped it, look at album cover, read liner notes, sit on my own then listen to it full volume for the very first time. That's one of the greatest moments to being a music lover. All he did was ask a question. He didn't demand anything or imply he wasn't satisfied with what he got.

I think there were possibly two different leaks. Because I listened to a 320kbps version that sounded perfect whereas a lot of other people are mentioning sound quality issues/ background noises that I have yet to notice... Although it is quite possible that because we don't have any point of comparison other than the youtube videos of the singles, that I will notice a difference once I get a physical copy

Is there any way to know if a file it's really 320 kbps or a re-encoded 128 one? An easy way is to plot the spectrum (i.e., a graph showing all the sound frequencies contained in the mp3 file) in Audacity or a similar program. If you have no frequencies above 15 Khz, it's probably a 128 kbps. Usually real 320 kbps cuts off at approximately 20 Khz.

Here's an example: the graph above is the spectrum of a song from the CY leak, while the one below is the spectrum of a real 320 mp3. Can you see the difference? Basically we're losing quite a lot of the high frequency content of the song

Is there any way to know if a file it's really 320 kbps or a re-encoded 128 one? Usually your ears are enough. 320 dont sound compressed to the normal ear (most of the time), there might be some bits missing but the sound quality is usually very clear. If it's a 128 re-rencoded in 320, it sounds like the rip we got, especially with heavy guitar, and vocals, or drums, that can appear to have been muted or too low in the mix. those rips lose their "power", they have no depth. I dont usually use any software coz i can pretty much spot em and websites that share thats stuff mention when it's a webrip or/and a transcode I guess you could check with audacity.sourceforge.net/ but you gotta know a bit about frequencies and stuff. To get started, if you have time www.torrentech.org/index.php?showtopic=186245

Thanks! I opened with Cool Edit Pro, but I'm unable to tell. View AttachmentBecause what you're watching is not the spectrum. You're looking at the song from the "time" point of view (the graph you're looking at is time VS amplitude), while the spectrum allows you to view the song in the world of "frequency" (frequency VS amplitude) Look under the menu "Analyze" if there's something similar to "plot spectrum", "analyze spectrum" or something like that

If you open a real 320 you'll see that the frequency cuts off at approx. 20 KHz

The Dying Of The Light and Lock All The Doors are the tracks that suffer most from the compression to my ears. The sooner a true 320 leaks the better.

I just wanted to say that I will be buying this album in it's deluxe form when it is released.
Downloading the 14 song album now. 103MB it looks to be. I've heard nothing besides the 2 singles.
What is the quality like? I'm kinda hoping its average and not CD quality.
Pretty excited actually too.

If its a 103-105mb .rar file its going to ask for a password they don't give you. It's a fake. The original leak we got was around 94mb roughly.
