Freaky Teeth is massive! Should've been on the album imho, even though it's not a new track. The one from the chatbox is 256, considerably better than the upgraded 128kbps. Disappointed it's not in the album - love that song, and live it was MEGA. I'm sure the final version will sound great (though that demo that came with International Magic DVD was awful!)

Does anyone know how to convert iTunes to upload songs from CDs in the highest quality? Just so when I buy the album I don't want to be fannying around with iTunes. You can go into your iTunes preferences>General> Import settings. Choose your desired import encoder. AIFF, Apple Lossless or WAV are all lossless. Apologies for being a nuisance SS, but what is 'lossless'?

Apologies for being a nuisance SS, but what is 'lossless'? MP3/AAC are lossy formats. Meaning some data is lost because they're compressed audio. Lossless means no loss. iTunes is a shitty encoder. If you want to encode the best quality download Exact Audio Copy and use an external encoder. i.e. if I rip a CD, I use Exact Audio Copy to rip to wav, and then encode to V0 MP3. It maintains great quality.

Apologies for being a nuisance SS, but what is 'lossless'? This is like the interview all over again! Lossless means that none of the original data has been removed from the file. AIFF and WAV are both uncompressed and ALAC (apple lossless) is compressed. You can't actually tag WAV in iTunes and the files are huge. AIFF is tag supported but again results in very large files. ALAC would be my recommended option for CDs. MP3s or AACs from iTunes and Amazon have actually been compressed to an extent that some of the original data has been removed. This is usually the very high frequencies. The higher the bitrate, the less data has been removed and the higher the frequency cut off.

So how does the quality of this new leak compare to the itunes stream that is currently available? Same shit really. This leak is just tracked and has all the bonus tracks. Someone bought it on Japanese iTunes and converted it to MP3, which kinda sucks in its own right, but understandable if they don't know how to use ITMS Scrubber since iTunes embeds your personal info in purchased tracks. It is removable with the tool I mentioned though. Still no sign of a CD rip or non-transcoded version yet. Really an anytime thing at this point. Not sure if it's been mentioned but has a FLAC or Apples Lossless rip been uploaded?? Thanks No.

Isn't 100%, but it is much better than the streaming version.
