If a was one of these superior hording inner circle I'd be very scared of this... Let's hope we now hear these sessions long time before August 17 as they should come to light. Let's also pray DIV make this hints too along time before '25

Well, ok: The demotape Noel recorded on the island of Mustique during late summer 1996 in preparation for the recording of Be Here Now. It is the holy grail (well, for some people on here at least)...

I always feared it got lost during the years, like Alan McGee's tape...

It is a relief certainly, but there's not been any scare stories before about lost Oasis tapes so hopefully remains the case.

While we're at it...anyone willing to contact Owen Morris through his website (as he seems quite open and communicative about it) and perhaps ask for some further infos about the Mustique demo? For example a tracklist!? Of course, I'd do it myself, but I'm just not a native english speaker...David perhaps??? Sorry in advance for asking that much, just thought it might be a good idea.

I bet we've got a pretty good chance of one of the discs being a live concert. I have my bets placed on the Wolverhampton gig, having been broadcast on the beeb back in the day and having been broadcast again just a year or so ago

Disc 1: Album remastered. (hopefully including Sad Song, which can be at the end, doesn't have to be where it is on the vinyl). Disc 2: B-Sides + Demos Disc 3: Live Gig.
Is what I'd guess.

this is good news but i hope the live disc is something we dont have and that it is full not cut down, hopefully there wont be terrible disc of dj remixs and covers by bands like mcbusted, probably metro gig if not wolverhampton, all the best stuff will be out on the 30th 40th anniversary.

A proper Maine Road CD/DVD with Morning Glory would be gratefully received.

Hopefully those who already have access to a lot of stuff we may not even be aware of will decide to leak whatever they may have sooner rather than later. As much of the material will become worthless in comparison in only a matter of time. Exciting time ahead for sure!

Southend probably was, I'm not sure about Maine Road.

The latter had a lot of behind the scenes footage supposedly shot on film, but the already released concert footage doesn't look like film to me. Southend has always looked like shit, looks like an NTSC conversion.

The video could always be up converted but it'll never truly be HD.

Southend does look like crap alright, looks bad on DVD.

Ok, I'll admit I know nothing about the logistics of shooting a gig back in the 90s. I'm assuming then that what you're saying is that actually shot the gig on a SD videotape rather than on something like 35 mm film? EDIT: live4ever.proboards.com/thread/66152?page=1 there's a bit of talk about Knebworth there. It seems there's at least a possibility that Knebworth was filmed (at least partially) in something that might produce HD video. It's a pity if all those classic gigs from the 90s are stuck in SD forever.

Just emailed him with a few Qs about Mustique as you suggested. I will let you know if/when he replies! Some great info on his site, especially in the section on b-sides and Mustique.
