DISC 3: PREVIOUSLY UNRELEASED
Less clear what'd appear on this, but from what we're aware of:
MORE LIKELY SOURCES:
01. Live Demonstration Tape
- Strange Thing (possibly only new song as 'Previously Unreleased Track')
- Cloudburst
- Bring It On Down
- Rock 'n' Roll Star
- Fade Away
Rationale: Columbia (b-side), D'Yer Wanna Be A Spaceman? (b-side), Married With Children (album), Fade Away ('select' cassette) all previously released. Possibly 'Columbia' and 'D'Yer Wanna Be A Spaceman?' would be included on this disc instead of disc 2 to provide full session (except album track 'Married With Children') in one place.
02. BBC Radio 5 Hit The North
- Digsy's Dinner
- Rock 'n' Roll Star
- Cigarettes & Alcohol
Rationale: Bring It On Down (b-side), I Will Believe (b-side), Cigarettes & Alcohol (stop the clocks EP) all previously released. Possibly 'Bring It On Down' and 'I Will Believe' would be included on this disc instead of disc 2 to provide full session in one place
03. Live at Gleneagles 6th Feb 1994 (first gig on DM tour)
- Shakermaker
- Bring It On Down
- Digsy's Dinner
- Live Forever
- Cigarettes & Alcohol
Rationale: Supersonic (b-side), Bring It On Down ('KVOX' cassette), Live Forever (DM anniversary DVD) all previously released. Possibly 'Supersonic' would be included on this disc instead of disc 2 to provide full session in one place
LESS LIKELY:
These tracks, whilst from the same session, didn't make the cut on the 'Live Demonstration' tape so are probably less well regarded by the band, so less likely to see release. Although 'Alive (8-track demo)' from this session did get released as a b-side, so not impossible.
- Setting Sun (demo)
- Lock All The Doors (demo)
Maida Vale Session:
- Bring It On Down
- Cigarettes & Alcohol
- Shakermaker
- Up In The Sky (acoustic)
This session's never had a release, but it's a soundboard source so might be considered for the release.
VERY UNLIKELY:
These tracks are pre-Definitely Maybe, rather than from this era, so very unlikely to be included, in my opinion:
- Colour My Life
- Take Me
- See The Sun
- Must Be The Music
- Better Let You Know
- Snakebite
- Life In Vain (live)
- I Will Show You (live)
- Alice
- Reminisce
Of course, the above's based on what we know exists. Who knows what previously unknown surprises might surface?! Although, personally, I think something genuinely new is pretty unlikely.
TWB.
