^ That's actually pretty smart, in a weird twisted way.

The last time I saw John Lennon was in Hong Kong. We went to Hong Kong market. And there was a stall that sold old clothes, and there was a Beatle jacket on the stall. And I did something that's not usually in my character: I asked him to put it on, so that I could take a photograph. I took a photograph, and I've still got the photograph. The jacket doesn't fit properly; it looks like John had outgrown it. -David Bowie, 1983.

This is actually an old story really. I still find it hard to believe that courts constantly rule on the side of the "company" rather than the artists in these situations. Copyright law is the worst.

A serious question regarding Michael Jackson - is the legend greater than the man himself? The legendary image is so overpowering that it seems easy for music critics to separate him and the disturbing allegations.

Michael Jackson started his career at a young age and was the star of the Jackson 5.....pretty sure he at least co-wrote his music, if not all of it, I don't know. And, he invented a dance move, the moonwalk....talented guy, just a weirdo. God bless.

To think it took Jackson all of five years to make Bad while still in his prime... That record was the sum of his efforts over all that time. Lennon and McCartney could've come up with a better collection of songs in five weeks in the sixties.

The fucking gall of the man to allege mistreatment of children, given what he was up to with young boys in the bedrooms of his Neverland ranch and Los Angeles town house. What a twat.

And as a self-styled 'genius', it's interesting that Quincy Jones says he wrote only two songs on Bad despite Jackson receiving full writing credits. It's often the way to manufacture an 'independent solo star' to have solo writing credits and you can bet your bottom dollar Jackson did not write all those hits by himself.

Music aside, only one of these three does not have very credible histories of being weird as fuck to children.
And then you add in Tomorrow Never Knows, and it's all over for the other two.

The Beatles no question Then Jacko but its hard to listen to his records now right because we dont really know what he was I enjoy some Presley, he’s the reason many bands, well the reason rnr exists but I never managed to listen to more than a few tunes in a row. Same as Liam. He did write a few tunes there’s interesting bits of recordings where you can hear him coming up with Melodies and even production arrangements. Then they passed that to the producer to transpose and make it a song. It was explained during his trial www.express.co.uk/entertainment/music/1284189/Michael-Jackson-music-did-Michael-Jackson-write-own-songs-lyrics/ampwww.nme.com/blogs/nme-blogs/the-incredible-way-michael-jackson-wrote-music-16799?ampBut is it a nice story made up ? Who knows in the music industry. I tend to believe he was more than less involved because it wasn’t that important in the 80s that he wrote the songs or not. It was not a songwriter « era » such as the 60s and the 90s. A bit like today with Liam, again. We’ll never know for sure. It was probably overblown though. Probably jacko wanting to be Lennon or Macca and imposing songwriting credits to his benefit. Noel did that too on some songs that clearly needed to be Co-credited. But hear him beatboxing, he just didn’t need instruments to create something musical. I’d say this blog is more or less correct, he had ideas but great musicians made it happen. superiorshit.blogspot.com/2013/07/who-really-wrote-michael-jacksons.html?m=1The right clue to me is when a major artist gets co credits on all songs on one record made by different co-writers. That’s when it gets really fishy. Jacko records have songs that don’t have his name on it. Some of them are big ones. I

I couldn't watch that last documentary on Channel 4 about those two men who were abused by Michael Jackson but I watched the Facking It one on Discovery+ and nothing will change my mind about him.

Fair enough. I gotta say i really don't know. Some accuser backtracked and defended him saying they were manipulated by their parents. Who knows what's true in hollywood / music industry. As i said in other threads, documentaries have to be taken with caution nowadays, they don't tell the truth, they tell one side of a story. And most of the times manipulate facts to fit the narrative. I can't listen to the records anymore though, it's too disturbing. And i was a massive fan Same for Ryan Adams. It's shit really those records are tainted now.
