I'm guessing either Jon or Dani will have a defining moment in the next two episodes, taking a true leadership role; or like Stephen King tweeted, they'll both die, and Tyrion will be on the Iron Throne....
Off topic: does anyone watch 'Barry' starring Bill Hader, that's on right after GOT? It's a good show, crazy, still trying to figure it out....
Thanks.

Yeah i mean last Episode made it pretty obvious that Dany will become the mad Queen so i guess she will die in this or the last Episode. Cant see Jon on the iron throne, he never wanted to be a king. And tyrion is more a consigliere like Silvio Dante. I dont think anybody will end up on the throne. It will either end up in a democracy or something westerosi or every kingdom gets their independence.

So now I saw the last episode, and yeah... I can't believe how the writers allowed themselves to write this badly when it's the second last episode in the show's history. Having team Dany not noticing the Iron fleet is unforgivable, and quite frankly disrespectful to the viewers. I can't velieve they took an extra year to make this shit.
Is there anyone genuinely excited for the remaining two episodes?

I am, but then I kind of fell out of love with it seasons ago, so now it is "just" a TV show to enjoy, nothing more, nothing less.

I feel the same. I almost quit a couple of seasons ago because it absolutely bored me. I just keep watching to see how it ends

And maybe the worst thing abut the outcome of episode 3 is that when I saw Sam in this episode, a character (although not always super intresting)I genuinely liked, I just wanted him to fuck off and die. Him fighting and surviving that zombie war was BEYOND ridiculous, even a Disney film would find that laughable. And in this episode he appears with one scar on his forehead. ONE FUCKING SCAR! A fat guy without fighting skills, at the VERY LEAST he should be in a coma, missing several limbs, his face unrecognisable. But no, the day after he looks like he's just come back from camping in the woods, with a branch having caused that nasty scar.
Fuuuck offff...

I'm really looking forward to tonight's episode, perhaps my method of hardly watch any of the whole series is really the way to approach the show....
Thanks.

Ian McElhinney is claiming that the books, both The Winds of Winter and A Dream of Spring are already finished and ready to be published once the show ends. That GRRM has a contract with HBO to delay publishing until after.

Well ... Fuck. That was pretty great. And terrifying. Not so sure how I feel about Jamie/Cersei. Don't think it was executed well because I legit thought it was going a different way. But otherwise. Fantastic. Have to sit on this one. I was not expecting THAT. I expected some of THAT. But not THAT.
I can now understand what D&D were talking about when they said there's three holy shit moments that happened in George's outline. They said there was one from the end. I think we just saw it.

I was hesitant at first, but the more I think of it I do actually buy the whole thing about Danaerys going mental. I know it doesn't make sense at first look, but in a way it really does. She realises that she has won the battle, but at the same time she also realises that it will never give her any fulfillment. Why? Because she fears that she is never going to be loved and respected. For all the good things that she did on occassions, all her efforts to try to do the right thing, in the end one of her largest driving forces(if not the largest) was her narcissism. Yeah, she can just fly up to Cersei and let her die screaming, taking her place as the new queen, but soon enough all will know who the rightful heir is, and the majority will prefer him instead. She has just reached her ultimate goal in life, but the thought immediately hits her that it won't mean a thing. Sure, given a few minutes to calm down her good side might have told her about all the positive changes she could have made in Westeros, but at that moment her narcissism takes the wheel completely. Nothing matters anymore, so what reason us there to NOT burn the city to the ground?
Maybe I am too kind to the writers, but I don't think it happened without any reason. (None of this would have ever happened if they hadn't made Jon into a complete idiot, but I'm trying to be positive here!)

Light resistance. What does Westeros offer her? It’s a land that over threw and stomped out their house. After 25+ do you think the people of those lands care about you and your dragon? No.

I enjoyed that episode, best of the series. I've no problem with the Dany goes loco story. Her motivation has always been to avenge the destruction of her families dynasty in westeros and retake the iron throne. She has also always had a taste for violence against anyone that stood in her way. The way I see it she previously thought that if she took out Cersei the people would love her as their saviour and recognise her as the rightful ruler. Suddenly that has been overturned by Jons superior claim and the realisation that the people love him far more than they ever would her. The common people went from her best route to the throne to a major obstacle. So, fuck them basically.

Oh my, that was painful to watch. "Kinda forgot"?!?! How can they fuck it up so bad? I think they dont want to do this show anymore. HBO wanted them to do two full seasons but they declined. Now they rush through the plot without thinking. Its seriously frustrating. Come on, man. You have no evidence to support that claim. I remember people saying about Doctor Who years ago, when everyone was moaning about it not being as good as it used to be (they should see it now!), that show-runner Steven Moffat didn’t want to do it anymore; that he wanted to sack it off and just focus on Sherlock. Many people have had issues with Moffat, but to claim that his passion for Doctor Who ever faltered is something I don’t accept. He lives and breathes that show, and he worked like a dog on it for over a decade of his life, writing more episodes than anyone else. We don’t know what goes on behind the scenes at these big shows. It’s a different world to the one most of us inhabit.

Have their own 3 movie saga coming with the first film within the next 3 years and it usually takes 2 years to make these movies. Disney has already announced 3 more SW films in the next 7 years. They are apart of that run.

(None of this would have ever happened if they hadn't made Jon into a complete idiot, but I'm trying to be positive here!) The problem isnt that she went full mad Queen. Its been foreshadowed in the Books and series aswell. I mean she advocated 'fire and blood' everywhere she went and justified it for 'the greater good'. Its all due to her advisers that she hasnt done it before. And after all thats what i think GRRM has been aiming for the whole time, to make dany snap and burn down everything that is in her way. BUT they didnt sell it enough on the show. Two episodes ago she was fighting the WW to rescue the world and now she burns down an entire City and thousands of innocent civilians because?! I dont get it in the context of the show. Thats a major fuck up. Breaking Bad spend 60+ episodes to turn a friendly teacher into a druglord. GOT spend basically two episodes to make us believe that she snapped. Thats poor and lazy writing. This episode could have been one of the greatest things in TV and i did enjoy it a lot. But you have to put it into the context of the show and then it just doesnt work for me. They rushed through the last two seasons, made the characters completly stupid and made Them do stupid things and that ruined so much of what could have been an amazing twist with her burning down KL.

She's been psychotic since season 2 when she was threatening people that she would lay waste to entire cities. And she has done a many great and terrible things since. Usually using violence to accomplish her goals.
And yeah, she's certainly doing this out of fear. She knows they will abandon her once Jon's lineage gets out. And so she's making everybody know who's boss. She destroys the capital and hundreds of thousands along with it. Word will get around as a result and nobody will dare defy her or else meet the same fate.
My only complaint with all of this is I feel we should have gotten full on mad Dany (I mean she's ALWAYS been mad) for an entire season or at least half of one. Instead, we get 2 episodes to see and deal with her. She deserved more than 2 episodes to be dealt with.

its the speed of the season that is driving fans nuts. They aren't showing us their work on how they landed on character choices. I'm fine with them but wish they were all more drawn out. This show was always dialogue first and a great slow burn show. This season has robbed Jamie, Varys, Ceresi and Tyrion of great work but rushing everything involving them. I knew Danny would prob break bad. Its been hinted at for so so long. Unfornaturey we saw her flip in 90 min. She surpassed her father now. Killed more people than the Night King now.

Which, A) Confirms that Bran does see the future. B) Makes it curious how the visions of the future occur during visions of Dany's father saying, "Burn them all!".
Obliviously, they can't do this in the show, they have no time. But I do wonder if Bran or the previous 3ER has something to do with that? Maybe the previous 3ER corrupted Aerys in the same way Bran corrupted Hodor? And when Aery's was shouting burn them all, it's because he was seeing what his daughter would eventually do to KL?
It also means Bran knows what's going to happen in the end.

Sometimes she makes sacrifices for the sake of what is right(although one could say that maybe all that was just great political strategy from her part), but sometimes she lets her vengefulness tendencies speak instead. You could say that what happened last episode was over the top, but I don't think she did a complete 180 turn, the hints have all been there. Only difference to what one might have expected is that this time she aimed her fury at innocent people as opposed to slavers and tyrants, and I can get why people find that as jumping the shark, but I think it can make sense given her realisation(my speculation, but I think it could be true) that in the end her dream was worth nothing. She rears that she will never be loved and respected, hence the "fuck everything" mentality kicking in to a violent extreme.

I like that Bran theory, but do we really know that he can see whatever he wants to see of the future? He was given a snippet of the future, is there any proof that he has unlimited access to everything that is going to happen?
