At least on my cable provider, Spectrum, HBO doesn't give a brief description of the new episodes; it's just a description of the show itself.....total power move; every other t.v. show or movie at least has some info. on new episodes.
God bless.

Writers definitely dropped the ball on that naval scene. Made no sense. They don't send out scouts? They can't see more than 500 feet in front of them?

It could just be that Bran knows how her story ends. Maybe she's the villain. Or maybe she has to go through what she does in order to bring about something else. I'd assume Jon getting the throne, otherwise why would Bran make such a big deal about it?
I mean, Arya is her own person. I suppose they could ask her. But they can't just use her that way. Besides she was hiding away from everyone. She just risked her life in a big way and killed the NK. Not really fair to ask any more of her.
Yeah, capturing Missandei was dumb.
If she does do that, the dragon will roast her for sure. Doing it this way probably gives her a little time to retreat before Dany goes mad queen and roasts her people alive. Which is what Cersei wants. Get the people to hate Dany even more. Or, even if Cersei dies, ensure mutual destruction by leaving Dany with only ashes to rule over in the end.

I'd be willing to bet anything Cersei and her boyfriend don't make it through the show alive. God bless.

brans whole story was build up for him to do nothing. hes just sitting there. he could easily reveal cerseis plans but nope, all his powers are useless. arya, the ninja assassin who sneaked up on the night king and killed him, who killed walder frey without anybody noticing, who could easily kill cersei and safe thousands of peoples life, does nothing. nobody even thinks about asking her. i'm sorry but thats just flat out stupid. and now the ending. dany stands there in a wide open field without any protection while cersei has like ten machines to shoot and kill the dragon. she could have killed everyone right there, but she didnt. and i dont know why. that has nothing to do with the well written series i fell in love with. this is beyond stupid now.

I mean, it seems to me Bran can see the past, but also the future. So he's doing small things. He's putting ideas in peoples heads. Or he's giving people specific objects. These little things that are later on used in a big way. So I don't know if he's altering the future or just making sure the future he sees happens. And thus, if it's already happened for the 3ER, then he's only doing what he's already seen himself do. Which is why he doesn't bother telling anybody, "By the way, this is going to happen." Because it can't be changed. Only fulfilled.
OR, he has a bias. And he's making sure what he wants to happen does happen. I'm going with the former idea though.
Again, I think Cersei isn't firing first yet because she is goading Dany to attack first. Because Cersei is trying to turn Westeros against her. She invited thousands into her gates for the purpose of being roasted alive. If Cersei attacks first, that plan goes out the window and the people of Westeros side with Dany. Most of her army isn't there yet. She walked up to the gates wanting to talk. Hoping it goes sour so that she can appear to be the reasonable one.

You could be saying that sarcastically; but, in my limited viewership, and I could be wrong, I don't think most fans will be happy with that. Cersei's boyfriend is begging to be killed, and she seems to be a total bitch....but, I don't know her whole story, I do know she looks great naked. God bless.

Well, I mean, between the three of them, Cersei deserves the throne the most. But obviously I want her to die too because she's just evil. I hope to see Jon on it. But he hasn't actually earned it. Not really. He's lost every battle he's ever fought. He pretty much just makes mistake after mistake and constantly needs rescuing. He's a damsel in distress. Only thing he's got going for him is his courage, persistence and that Stark honor. Dany is ... Well Dany. Psychotic one minute and reasonable the next. Not a good recipe for leadership.

I liked the first season of Game of Thrones, thought the second one was rubbish. Was gonna get back into it but apparently the new series is poor as well so I might not bother.

this episode was so weird. there were a few things that pissed me off: 1) Sansa saying all the raping made her stronger 2) Brienne turned into a girly girl crying "don't leave me" 3) Jon didn't pet Ghost!! what the actual fuck

Now I'm only one episode behind the rest of you, and while I assume someone might have mentioned it already, I just needed to say this: The first version of the Night King looked soooo much better/cooler than the last one. Just look at the guy in this thumbnail...
... and compare his creepy mystique to this guy, that looks like some guy who dressed as the Night King for Halloween.
And one more thing: Sam surviving that battle(seemed like it?) would be fucking ridiculous.

Now they rush through the plot without thinking. Its seriously frustrating. They signed on for an adaption. Writing full-time I guess was too much for them. They jumped ship as soon as they feasibly could. To be fair though, they have a tougher job than your average writer doing a show. There's just so much going on and so many more characters, it's understandable really in this case. GRRM should have finished the books when he said he would.

Thats still no excuse for lazy writing. Last two seasons had so many plotholes and inconsistencies within the world (teleporting for example) which is all because they rushed through the plot when there really was no need to. Dialogues and character development once made the show so great, now they dont even feel comfortable in writing the scene where sansa and arya react to Jon snows reveal.
