The Mullah's aren't going to give up their power, and there's too many people who support them for a popular uprising to happen. And the Republican Guard and their citizen thugs get their bread buttered by the Mullah's.
They've got God, they've got the Guns, they've got a mostly ignorant populace who actually believe teh mullah's speak the word of God. Not the makings for a popular revolution. The ONLY logical step is to take out their nuclear/ballistic missle programs. I can hear those Israeli jets firing up their engines now.

Ok I'll go with it - If Ahmedinijad = Iran's GWB then who will be their Obama once his second term is finished? i'm with you on this one, cause it sure as hell ain't mousavi. Mousavi must not be underestimated. The revolution in iran is far away and mousavi couldve been a real step towards a a much more free iran

bathqueen, if that was the case, how come iran didn't reform when he was in power as prime minister from 1981-89? he had eight years to do so, or at least spark a movement to do it. he's definitely a step in the right direction, as compared to ahmadinejad, but i don't think he's exactly the savior people are making him to be.

Obivously thats a horrible connection, but atleast thats a connection. i'm sure he wouldve reconnected with the U.S if he was elected. hes not a savior, but he was the only realistic option for a step towards a new iran.
