I think Oasis is the band that more use the "()" to name it songs.
"(As Long As They've Got)Cigarettes in Hell" "(Get Off Your) High Horse Lady" "(I Got) The Fever" "(It's Good) To Be Free" "(Probably) All in the Mind" "(You've Got) The Heart of a Star" "Can Y'See It Now? (I Can See It Now!!)" "It's Gettin' Better (Man!!)" "Sittin' Here in Silence (On My Own)"
Hell they even named one of their albums with it: (What's the Story) Morning Glory?

The guitar part at the very end of 'Mucky Fingers' and the start/intro to 'Those Swollen Hand Blues' are the exact same.

Also, I thought it was Noel saying 'come on, get the count in' - it sounds like him.

I was wondering if Noel originally had this as part of the tracklist for DBTT, before the demo producer told him that there weren't enough 'single' songs . I read that in an article in The Mail On Sunday where the producer who did the demos for DBTT said to Noel that there weren't enough 'potential singles' on the proposed album. This was just one of the reasons why DBTT was put on hold.

Not really an 'I'm the only one who noticed this' type thing but I heard from somewhere that Oasis' logo was inspired by the nWo logo from WCW wrestling... ...idk, could've been. Stupid wrestling... Not possible, because the NWO wasn't formed until 1996. It's most likely he got it from this: It's for a Japanese manufacturing company that sponsored Man City FC from 1989-1999. I've seen it in white on a blue (and maybe black) rectangle and it looks very similar.

Supposedly the classic black and white Oasis logo was inspired by the logo of the Stones 1960s record label Decca.

Does anyone know what's said in the first 2 seconds of the Angel Child demo? I always figured it to be voice 1: "Will you do this for me?" voice 2: "Okay, son."

Dunno about the first bit - is quite muffled in the background (probably Owen Morris giving Noel the go-ahead to start playing) but I always thought the second voice was Noel saying "Okey dokey" just before he kicks into the song.

The little outro on acquiesce which noel plays on his guitar can be heard in the old rehearsal videos in which he shows Liam a little riff he came up with:
30 sec in

Ah yeah, that's right. I agree that it's Owen Morris and Noel, and now that you mention it, I remember hearing "okey dokey" once I tried it on my old headset. That's probably it, but I kept playing it over and over and no matter how many times I tried it, every time I expected to hear "okay, son," that's what I heard.

Some good finds on here.
Probably been mentioned before but a mobile phone seems to ring at the end of Who Put The Weight of the World on my Shoulders.

Wow, good find on that Roll With It/Elephant Stone bit! Wondered why it sounded so familiar.

SOTSOG is really the only album that I felt that should have gotten a higher on AMG. 3 star album? hardly. Plus if One Way Road and Let's All Make Believe replaced one of the shitty ones then the album would be up there with MG and DM.

Plus if One Way Road and Let's All Make Believe replaced one of the shitty ones then the album would be up there with MG and DM. Aside from the rating, that's one of the most charitable reviews of the album I've read, Q grudgingly gave it 4 stars in a decidedly lukewarm review, the other reviews were uniformly brutal. i understand why: the poor tracks were seen to significantly drag down the good material on the album. And the band were due a big critical backlash, a large part of which was the BHN effect - the mags had said it was great, the punters disagreed, so the mags all looked stupid. But what I like about the AMG review is, it credits Noel with a attempt to move forward (AMG don't say it's always successful, and I agree with them, PYMWYMI, for one, is an undefendable shocker), the contemporary reviews were just like, 'yep, here's another helping of trad rock shit from these illiterate northerners', not acknowledging the sonic revelations on songs like Gas Panic! or Fuckin in the Bushes, but then that's critics for you I guess.
