One thing I'd like to know - what is Noel saying in that distorted voice in D'you Know What I Mean? He says it a few times, sounds like "People, people, why" or something Thats him saying D'you know what i mean being played backwards. Go to Youtube and look up the backwards version

In the chorus of "Rock 'n Roll Star," Liam sings "I'm a rock 'n rolllll star" holding the note on "roll" the first time and then "I'm a rock 'n roll star" with no hold the next time. The next chorus is the opposite.
That was an odd thing to notice.

The harmonica solo you mean? I used to think there was some sort of sample happening behind it but after listening, like, a hundred times, I've satisfied myself that it's just Feltham's harmonica playing. More harmonica in Oasis songs please! Do you mean the bit where it sounds like someone says something before the harmonica kicks in? If so, it's producer Spike Stent who says: 'A bit on the harmonica please.' Haha! Sweet - I hadn't noticed this until I listened to it now!

The bit at the start of Acqueice where you can hear people talking is Liam and Owen Morris. The speech is played backwards, but if played correctly it goes:
Owen: Where's Noel? Liam: Gone for a walk Unknown voice: Sacked him? Liam: I've sacked him

I've never seen anybody comment about this:
The intro to this old demo of Noel's sounds VERY similar to the outro of Little by Little:

Has anyone mentioned that the "Get One With It" that Noel says at the start of The Masterplan is also played at the end of Round Are Way. They are both on the same single (Wonderwall) but aren't back to back on the track listing

^Probably because they're both in the Am Pentatonic scale and it's easy to repeat ideas using that. Noel himself admitted to playing the same solo a lot of times. Slide Away and Don't Go Away have very similar lead work as well.
I've noticed that Liam's never sung the high note in Lyla's chorus at any gigs. "The world around us makes me FEEL so small", that one. Nobody also seems to have mentioned that he nearly always goes flat on the note on "If" in I'm Outta Time, because he doesn't falsetto it and it's quite a hard note to get normally.
In Noel's acoustic versions of Cast No Shadow he never sings "Bound with all the weight of all the words he tried to say" like on record. He always sings it shorter, just like "say" rather than "sa-ay" like on the album. Always bugged me for some reason, I've never liked his acoustic versions much.
At the end of Champagne Supernova you can clearly hear the mellotron note running out. Not sure it that's already been mentioned, but it makes a kind of "woooow" sound, powering out.

And the end of Whatever, after all the cheering, you can hear Noel say something like 'has anyone got a Ford Cortina upstairs'.

Hard to decipher that Manc accent though.

The first line of Let There Be Love sounds like Noel's voice fading into Liam's somehow.

Liam (Live) on Lyla DIG OUT YOUR SOUL TOUR:
"she rings the BELL FOR ALL THE LITTLE QUEERS"- points to his brother when he says this
never heard you lot ever say that

I'm prepared to eat my words if anyone's got any kind of isolated vocal track to shed some light on it, but I'm willing to bet that very little of that chorus is actually Liam in the studio. I don't think he's ever sung *that* note.

I agree My opinion on some studio songs on HC-DBBT is that there is another voice in there who isn't General Dread or Bruno I think Gem sings too sometimes as for *note* I think its Liam and Noel but Liam may of had that pro tools etc added to his voice making it 'pitch perfect'

I doubt I'm the only one that noticed, but at the very end of the fade-out in Slide Away, Noel throws in a new lead part.

I doubt I'm the only one that noticed, but at the very end of the fade-out in Slide Away, Noel throws in a new lead part. Yeah, I listened to it before and it sounds mental! But before we all know it the mega track is finished - I suppose it's a good way to end the track though. After you've listened to the whole track, you feel like sitting back and having a smoke (even though I don't smoke!).
