If this is the setlist for the arenas then i for one will be very underwhelmed. Dont get me wrong i will still enjoy it, but its kind of, just lazy? All that time to rehearse and to get 2 different Oasis tracks is a bit shit. Don't think it'll only be this But i'm starting to think that i really need a fuckin ticket

No, because BHN at least had a proper first single. More seriously i don't think so, from what i know there are no over-7min tracks on Xntm, noel is full in control with what he is doing here, as opposed to Bhn. But let's wait the release because we still could be surprised, let's not make statements we'll have to take back later. And btw i think you are the only one thinking hm is his best work since aatw, don't involve too much people in what are just your thoughts

Fort knox still is 6/10 to me, good opener. Unless it introduces HM, then it would be a shit opener, like if FITB opened little james.

Even though I'm liking 'Fort Knox' a lot I think it shouldn't of been released. It doesn't work on it's own. One look on Twitter proves that and 'Holy Mountain' is Noel's least successful lead single ever and deservedly so. I feel this album will definitely be Noel's weakest. Yet I feel this will be his strongest - both critically and commercially. As for HM, we all know now how this has polarized the fans on here. Some hate it, but other are absolutely loving it, hailing it as the best thing he has done in years. One thing is for sure. This new album won't receive a lukewarm reception. This will be Marmite, through and through. I wouldn't bet on a commercially success, image does a lot in sales, people bought liams album cos his face was everywhere with at least 2 strong singles, easy to listen. Noel in the opposite annouced his album some weak ago and nobody talks about him, and the little it is talked is really mixed, +he released two of the worst singles you could imagine for an gallagher album(i hate HM but i can see why ppl like it and fort knox is ok to mz but they are awful single choices) Its surely gonna be a critical success tho, critics love when artists try something different. And i'll add that i think you are the only one here thinking hm is the best thing he did since BHN even if some really like the song.

Was a 6 on first listen, still a 5-6 after few listens, good opener, shit single, lacks something to be really good i'm trying ti figure out what.
Still a good result considering HM was a strong 2/10 for me, i kind want to hear it again when i was legit dying to shut down my phone while having to listen to hm.
But ffs noel try to figure out what to release as a single to hype the people

No doubt that Holmes is the driving force behind it, but hell would freeze before Noel gave away writing credits. Probably paid a set fee to Holmes. You have to wonder how much of this album is Noel, and how much is Holmes. Everyone is criticising Liam's album because he didn't write much of it, but this may be the case for Noel's album too. I'm running out of "this comment" guys please help me i can't control every posts he does!!

Some people here are crazy. Best Noel written song since 1997? I would change best to worse. If you think this is his worst since 1997, then you definitely must be one of the crazy ones. Lol this comment

Way better than HM which was a strong 2/10 to me. Great opener, great gig opener surely, but absolute shit single. I dont think noel could release a worst single, don't get me wrong i kinda like it but is this really what you want people to hear before the album is released??? It's not a single What is it then? Even if it's not a single it is still be the second thing ppl will hear from the album.

I find it way more enjoyable than HM. There should be more "you gotta get yourself together" to me, but this is a really bad single choice i guess. Would be really nice as an album opener you discover for the first time, and it's gonna be a huge gig opener if female backup singer are hired

I remember it, you stayed so long on this thread saying how much time you didnot have to listen to liam's album. That was pointless and you really don't need to cry about it on this thread. Quick question: do you listen to every album released every week? And if not, why not? I do not, first because i'm not interested in what gets released these days and i am discovering old classics, and second because even if i wanted to, i would have no time, but guess what, if i have no time to listen to new rihanna album i don't go on rihann4eva. com to say that i don't have time for her album. At least that is how it felt for most the people on the thread i guess.

You were on an album discussion thread, constantly telling people you "didn't have time" to listen to it, but still participating in the discussion of an album you refused to listen to. The questions you were asked where of the "u wot m8?" kind. And yes, on the HM thread? I fully expect people to keep discussing their listening experience. What I don't expect is a random bystander repeatedly getting into fights over how he doesn't want to listen to the tune. The discussion thread was about what's wrong with the album. I didn't go to a general thread about the album and post every day about how I didn't want to listen to it. And, no, those were not the kinds of questions I got. Here's an example: I gave my reasons, someone said they were unconvinced, I responded by saying that's okay I wasn't really trying to convince anyone just giving my reasons. Then the response I got to that was, "Do you have any convincing reasons instead?" So when I give more reasons because I was asked to do so, I get, "whoa, whoa, enough already." I mean, seriously, how is that anything other than completely unfair. I'm still amused how people were so offended by my point about not having time. I'd be curious how many people on the forum have the time to listen to every piece of music that is released vs. picking and choosing what they will listen to. I remember it, you stayed so long on this thread saying how much time you didnot have to listen to liam's album. That was pointless and you really don't need to cry about it on this thread.

How did She Bangs do in Sao Paulo? Sorry, he didn't cover Ricky Martin. You may be on the wrong forum. This might be the one you're looking for: www.parka-monkeys.comGetting bored of all these "She bangs" posts, it's clearly not the same song... It's THIS one he copied, not she bangs god...

The only good response from Liam would be to put this on the setlist to prove people how much this song needs his voice. Because it NEEDS his voice, Noel's arrangement fuckin kill the song, it has a totally different feeling than all liam's versions, original is so much better, and Noel has so much oasis songs he could do live like Talk tonight, falling down, every song he already sang in oasis would be perfect but stop murdering liam's ones. I think Noel wrote them, so he can "murder" whatever song he wants. I don't mind it. I'm not very keen on his rendition of Champagne Supernova either. Sure he wrote em and has all the right to sing them, but i think the songs he already sang in oasis perfectly fitted his voice, like there was a reason for him to sing them and not give them to Liam, and there are a lot which really were good tunes, i just have a problem with almost every version he performed of originaly-sung-by-liam songs, i found the new arrangements boring, and when he sticks to the original sound, i still can hear Liam voice in my head and think "oh god it's so much better"

Only thing i'm happy about is that noel and liams song are played in bars, heard WOG, GS and HM last week in the same bar and i am not in england. But this song, as a "ca plane pour moi"rip-off still doesn't work at all for me.
