The intro from 'Those Swollen Hand Blues' can be heard in this scene from 'Boogie Nights' (1997).
I'm not sure if it's an original piece for the film, or taken from another track? Either way, I thought it would be interesting for anyone who hadn't noticed before.

Has anyone been able to pinpoint when Richard Ashcroft appears on 'All Around The World'? Or did he not make the final version?

Real Oasis fans would disagree. What is your definition of an Oasis fan then? To me, a real Oasis fan is appreciating everything they've done, not just circle-jerking over everything pre-SOTSOG. But I suppose it's subjective, and there is no real definition. I personally listen to post-1998 Oasis a lot more than the rest.

there are no oasis classics after 2000 tbh. Real Oasis fans would disagree.

Not too sure, but you and this thread are the right fit for the playpen... dont understand why. just asked a question. noel and liam appear to be pretty wealthy lads. I'd say they're both financially secure for life. Noel has more than Liam though I reckon. And 'OOOHHH MYYY GOOOOOOOOOD!' @ your avatar

Would love this to happen, but I think they won't ever get round to doing it.

Believe it or not. I don't mind! I know a few ppl of Noels camp for many years who have been around with him since the early Oasis days and still working on his tours. Regularly having contact or talking with these folks. Was told by one of them. Not some roadies or stage hands. Proof? I'm not trying to be a dick, but obviously I'm a bit apprehensive in believing someone who has insider info on the BHN release. If you are genuinely being honest, then I apologise.

We need reissues of The Verve's work and we need it now! The B-sides for A Northern Soul & Urban Hymns are as good as Oasis b-sides add some demos and live tracks and we get some brilliant music. C'mon Dicky pull yer finger out. We already have the b-sides and albums, they don't need to be reissued, they need to be remastered. Especially ASIH.

Yeah TKOL is great, but The Basement version reigns superior to the actual album IMO. Its the only version i listen to. Codex and Giving Up The Ghost in particular are amazing and make wish I discovered them earlier. I'll have to check it out. You gotta check it out! Here's 'Codex' from The Basement. The difference is unbelievable.

Impossible for me to choose a favourite album from Radiohead. Personally, I've never got the 'Kid A is greatest' thing. Don't get me wrong, I love it, but I'd choose any other album of theirs over it to listen to. OK Computer remains at the top for me. Kid A is electronic perfection, but for me, that's where it comfortably sits, just that. Can't really place it above the monster that is OK Computer. OK Computer In Rainbows Kid A The Bends Amnesiac HTTT TKOL Pablo Honey I did listen to TKOL several days ago in full and really enjoyed it. Morning Mr. Magpie is the most freakish song they've done since Climbing Up the Walls. Codex is beautiful. Yeah TKOL is great, but The Basement version reigns superior to the actual album IMO. Its the only version i listen to. Codex and Giving Up The Ghost in particular are amazing and make wish I discovered them earlier.

I know its a subjective question, but does anyone think this could be their best album (for some), rivalling ok computer and in rainbows? Its hard to think of many bands that have consistent quality to each release.

A quite interesting choice. Absolutely love this performance too. Not to mention the fact that Liam is cool as hell in it. 2000-2002 is my favourite Liam voice period, plus the performances on that gig are great, especially the version of WDIAGW.

I'm hoping for a bit rockier form of In Rainbows, along with some sheer electronic daze. Then again, like Jack said we have no clue what it'll really be. I'm also hoping for something more accessible like 'In Rainbows'. I'm not a big fan of Thom's solo electronic 'blip-bloop' type sound, but don't mind if its kept to a minimum. If 'Spectre' and 'Silent Spring' are indicators of the new albums quality, then I'm totally fine with that.

Nothing like we've ever heard? I can't imagine what this will sound like, I'm pretty hyped. As for the June release date, I wont believe it until an actual official announcement.

Oh look, Richard's management has just woken up! New single "Hold On" coming tomorrow morning on BBC Radio 2: I seriously hope this is good. TIHIF has grown on me a bit, despite the awful music video, but it didn't blow me away.
