A thread with ideas, dreams and imaginary collaborations about Liam Gallagher working with others artists...
- with Lee Mavers (The La's) : a hell of a comeback for both artists. all time classic songwriter+singer. That could be LEGENDARY! - with Martin Carr (The Boo Radleys) : psychedelic and experimental beatlesque melodies of M.Carr that fit perfect with Liam's voice and his simple but beautiful melodies. Both could cowriting and definitely M.Carr could help and push Liam's songwriting to another level. They could give us an excellent modern post.beatles album (a cross between "Giant Steps" & "Wake Up") with great choruses and experimental outta there musical explosions.
- with Luke Haines (The Auteurs): the dark and weird songwriting genious of L.Haines with the raw and emotional vocals by Liam. Something close to "After Murder Park" by The Auteurs that fit so perfect with recent Liam's vocals. A great chance for both artists to collaborate, far away from their differences and could give us a dark diamond (and definitely piss NoelG off!).L.Haines could have the chance to play with the mainstream with his own rules and LiamG could find an exellent way of expressing a side of himself, dark melancholic and emotional, that so many years desperately try to find a way out.
-with Mark Ronson : when people know you as one of the greatest singers off all time, there s no need to prove that you can write your own tunes too. Find a great producer, choose wisely a few songs and cover them.So many artists do the same with big success. Why not Liam? Liam's voice could turn almost any good song to a great one. No need to be an old hit (so boring). Find songs that fit together and speak to your soul and with the magic touch of Mark Ronson go straight to the top of the charts. At the end of the day Liam is a great singer, a national treasure (UK) and it's a shame not to have that voice around...Imo, that could be a great and almost very safe idea for a brand new carrer for Liam.
- with Dave Sitek (TV on the Radio, producer): D.Sitek's modern vision, ideas, tricks and songwritin with Liam melodies and a few more cowriting between them, as a result of hard work and not a 10 day deal (see BE...) could offer us something different, closer to the hipsters scene, probably a UK version of Spoon (a band that imo is very close to Beady Eye's sound).
- with Death In Vegas : if they have enough tunes like the brilliant "Scrorpio Rising" ...we are gonna go crazy and lose our minds, psychic equalizer in our heads!Definitely a great bridge for Liam to start collaborate with other electronic artists such as UNCLE (like Ian Brown, Thom York, R.Ashcroft) or even Moby or Daft Punk
- with Bernard Butler (Suede, producer, songwriter) : Great and emotional songwriting of B.Butler with his clever and excellent production skills could give us a very interesting project. Butler’s wall of guitar sounds with Liam’s voice could be something close to the early days of Oasis. Epic and emotional.
keep coming with ideas...no need to argue here (studio-live vocals, etc) or anything else.make that thread a positive place for ideas and everything about it...

I knew someone would reply with this I'm surprised nobody had already said it. In all seriousness, I'd love to see Liam work with Lee Mavers.

Why doesn't Liam get Bonehead, Guigsy and Tony together and reform The Rain? They could play the same songs they were playing before Oasis. How brilliant would that be? I'd pay to see that.

That would be a cool idea but theyd inevitably have to play Noel's songs. This genuinely could happen considering Liam performed with Bonehead in October 2013 and it's not like the others are up to much. If this were to occur we'd probably have a 50% chance of Noel joining them at some point and then we'd have a full on reunion on our hands!

Johnny Marr would be incredible, but I'm not sure if they're even friends. Much like Beady Eye's albums, Johnny's solo albums have been good not great. He's a great songwriter, not a great singer. Liam is a great singer, not a great songwriter. Would complement each other well. John Squire would be good as well. He really needs a guitar player who could help write songs, to say the least.
Death in Vegas would be cool maybe. Scorpio Rising is probably one of my 5 favourite Liam-sung songs post-SOTSOG.

Mark Collins from The Charlatans. Liam knows him, he co-writes many of the The Charlatans songs with Tim Burgess, and is an excellent guitar player.

Anton Newcombe and parts of The whole gang. I don't think Anton and Liam would get on well. Id really like to see him play with BMRC myself. I think their sound would work a little better with Liam's voice. Especially their more rocking songs.

I dare to say I feel their fire and soul much more, especially on howl, than on any gallagher sung track. They understand the meaning of gospel and blues.

Look - I liked the BE album, but he is losing critical mass as an artist in terms of # of fans. And this is an issue for our Liam...he likes his mansions, travel etc. So he wont do another Beady Eye and sell 60K in albums...nor can he form a band and fill 1000 seat arenas...he needs a big platform.
My guess: 1) Vegas residency @ the HardRock...Liam and His All-Star Britpop Band (insert former stars from the Britpop era) 2) The New Oasis - tour with everyone (Bonehead too) and play the hits...he would get a lot of semi fans going... 3) Gallagher - Marr - Super Group stuff...tour, album 4) Liam as the Voice - Partner with Super Hot acts - like he did with Chem Bros years ago. Liam and David Guetta for example 5) Liam and Friends Album/ tour - write and tour with Marr, Squire, Daltry, Ringo, Bell, etc 6) Liam as Talk Show Host - music variety show 7) Liam autobiography - writes a book on his life - with a ghost writer 9) Liam launches a beer - ala Sammy Hager
To Be Clear - these all suck etc #3...but I bet in 12 - 18 months some sort of sucky thing like this will happen...he has lots of exs, kids, homes etc that need $$$...and he will find a way to make $$$.
Ciao.

OK...so what do you think he will do? He is totally screwed without Oasis...lots of $$ flowing out....zero flowing in...net worth falling below $10million...
