Sorry to keep posting one at a time but I'm really enjoying doing these and keep finding new things. In Stand By Me you can hear the string section much more clearly (I found it barely audible on the album version). Stand By Moi - www.sendspace.com/file/f2w2umHere Pink Floyd's Money for good measure.

Great job on these.
I'd recommend AKA... What a Life for OOPS treatment. Don't have the file to hand right now, but I do remember that OOPS mutes the vocal (apart from in the chorus, where you hear how it's treated with a reverse echo effect); it also gives you a clearer look at the piano loop, which is the loudest element in the OOPS version.

Found a real gem fellas (and ladies) When I OOPSed Supersonic, you get Noel's guitar isolated! It really sounds great when the solo and riffs kick in! Definitely one of the better ones I've done Supersonic (OOPS) picosong.com/LBKU/

I was listening to Part of the Queue high the other day... and I figured out there's a one key piano note being hit in like crazy in the noisy outro... would be good to find out if it's there or if I was just making it up in my head..

Really enjoying the BHN tracks, gives me a lot of hope for the reissue if they can some how clean up the clutter.
DGA is really great. The horns are so much clear, you kinda just feel them in the album version. Noel said he put them into the song as a nod to Burt Bacharach and with this OOPS mix you can really tell that those keys and horn runs really are Bacharach influenced. A lot of cool sounds in there.

when you do The Masterplan you get Owen Morris clearly doing the count at the start, Seems Noel's count was in one channel only.

That's fucking beutiful man! Good work! If we could get some isolated vocals on top of that it'd be like the first step to a Be Here Now Naked fan mix.

I've just it for Let There Be Love. There isn't even a de-esser on Liam's vocals. It sounds like a snake's attacking you at the end of every line. The mix itself removes most of the acoustic guitar from the verses and highlights the woodwind/mellotron(??) in the chorus. www.sendspace.com/file/fkp9bd

I'm totally serious, if the band would've went for a more acoustic driven version of Don't Go Away with those horns on the backing track, it would have been a smash hit. I've always liked the song but I'm looking at it in a totally different way now That melody and Liam's vocals are incredible

The electric guitar riffs really damage the melodic flow, making it sound as if it's trying to like a rock ballad. They were only successful with that along the lines of Slide Away and DLBIA. SBM and DGO would have been a couple of their best songs of all time if they cut out the electric riffs, emphasized more on the strings, and gave the horns more prominence in DGO. Also the guitar intro in both songs could've been replaced with simpler, acoustic ones, in the vein of Wonderwall.

That's why I like the rough noel guide vocal version of Stand By Me, that lead guitar riff is missing from it but it actually sounds better.

Inspired by the recent thread on this track, here's an OOPS clip of Flashbax. I like the Leslie speaker effect going on in the chorus, kinda reminds me of Pepper-era Beatles. I hadn't noticed that listening to the normal mix. Oasis - Flashbax OOPS clip.mp3 (899.71 KB)
