I hated SBOTA when i first heard it, but it has grown on me, and to be fair i keep hearing it about on TV programs/adverts and Radio, someone somewhere obviously likes it.

Second Bite Of The Apple? They can't be serious? It's awful. Either FOTF or nothing.

Song A is an attention getter right off the bat, one that can make people sit forward in their seats and say "WHOA".
Song B is a marginal track at best, sounds piss poor the first time you hear it, and even its fans only appreciate it after repeated listens.
Song A is not particularly dependent on the quality of Liam's voice. If he's off a bit, it doesn't matter too much.
Song B requires absolute perfection from Liam to pull it off and will make him sound horrid if he is even a bit off.
Song A is around the top 10 on the Itunes rock chart despite not being promoted as a single (and in the top 300 overall).
Song B is way down in the lower reaches of the Itunes rock chart and nowhere close to the top 300 despite being the first single off the album.
Which one would any rational individual choose to play in front of millions of viewers?
I have absolutely no clue as to who is making the decisions at BE headquarters. It's almost as if they want to fail.

That is true, and Holly and I guess Avril though I've not seen if she's aged well........ Jesus, she's only 28! But she looks like 15!! yummy! (We're talking about Avril Lavigne, right? ya know, Canadian pop star with French-y surname? ...Anyway, I would love to have the hammer fall on her anvil, if you know what I mean? (*nudge, nudge, wink wink)

HAH what a wasted opportunity. Time to get new management again? I heard Andrew Loog something something is ain't up to much these days. Though he's a bit preoccupied with tending to his forget-me-nots at the moment.

They've got to play Flick Of The Finger. Stand out, big ballsy, brassy, swaggering Gallagher song that this audience would not have seen on Jools. This. Start Anew is not a single. It's a great song to a fan and a good song by a non-fan, but that's the problem. It's just a good song to a non-fan. It has two hooks, Liam's voice and the drums at the end in the middle. But nothing in it is a hit single. Beady Eye aren't that kind of band. The reason everyone is naming different songs to perform is because they don't have any real obvious standout tracks, when I say stand out I mean hit single worthy, to a non-fan to perform. Flick of the Finger is the best option. If Liam voice isn't up to it, then at least the brass will cover it up. If his voice is up to it then that will add another hook to the song, including, the drums, lyrics, and brass, and speech at the end. It's the one that's definitely most ear catching live. It's a safe and good choice. Man, you sho know how, so to speak, to put a good word in when things have gone a bit awry. I reckon instead of taking the free life elective of Didactics 101, you learned this from all the reverberations of all those straw men you've tingled in the past on here, yes?

I'm genuinely surprised by this.
Thought that when Liam was disparaging of the idea of going on the Xfactor that that meant he didn't agree with doing that sort of thing. Then a week later there is the announcement that BDI are doing their even less credible cousin of a show.
I don't really care if they do it personally. It's good promo and they need it.
Be prepared for there to be a bad reaction on twitter though. Liam always polarizes with his vocals it seems. Plus The Voice audience, if they are anything like the US version, probably appreciate polished voices more than Liam's more raw voice...even if he isn't as shouty or nasally as he has a tendency to be in recent years.
But they should pick up some sales even if it isn't universally lauded.

Hoping this is just false reports, press just presuming it'll be SBOTA because its meant to be the latest single.
For great press and to really showcase the album, they HAVE to perform Iz Rite/Just Sayin'/Ballroom Figured/Back After the Break or Off At the Next Exit
Second Bite does even represent what the album is truely like.

Lets just barrage their twitter, hope they can at least think about this.
Second Bite will do more harm than good.
Just Sayin' would be great, kind of a fun reaction when Andy & Gem come in on the 1,2,3's . . . but catchy as fuck!

clearly people don't share my enthusiasm for SBOTA (only reached 112 in charts),so maybe its time beady eye put it down and choose another song to push. I think the atmosphere would be electric for either im just saying, iz rite, shine a light or start anew.

Won't they play Second bite of the apple, being the first single. Well the single came out a few weeks ago now, obviously bombed, even Beady Eye fans werent keen on it. They've got a chance for a big audience, at least 7 million or so. I hope its Flick of the Finger which people seem to really like (I'm talking people who arent huge Beady Eye fans), Start Anew would be good as well. Looking forward to it, hope Liams voice is on key, need a good one here lads, a lot of publicity etc, would be good Agree with you, but I have this nasty feeling it'll be Second Bite ...

I wholeheartedly agree that SBOTA is an absolutely appailing choice for them to play. However, the big Liam Gallagher vibe to the general public is infact his vocals. He NEEDS to pull of a energising and powerful vocal performance. A full band choice IMO should be I'm Just Saying or Flick of the Finger. Acoustic I would say Some Come Tomorrow as my first choice, maybe Start anew. I also believe I'm Just Saying would be great acoustically as well. I am guilty to watching the voice, and on saturday night he will be faced by a girl with vocal talent like this(obviously i prefer Liams voice but still ): As Beady Eyes management, I personally would pick an acoustic to show off Liam's vocals. They have been absolutely great recently But we do know that even with a full band, he can occasionally pull off a solid performance. I just hope Liam is drinking his hot honey and lemon. If his vocals are like Jools, he will be ripped apart by the general public.
