I just looked at the Celebrity Talent website to see how much Noel gets for a show in the States. It's $300,000-$499,000 per show. So, that's grossing $6-10 Millions in the US alone. I worked for bands and booking agencies for years. That's a complete piece of fiction. Let's take a 3,000 capacity venue with an average ticket price of 60 (before fees) = $180,000. Most deals are structured as a guarantee vs a percentage. In that case the guarantee is a much lower amount. The deal for most of these venues is probably a $25k-50k guarantee vs 85 percent. Even in the most favorable deals, the artist probably would only walk with $155k - and out of that they pay tour costs. Labels frequently help with your costs as many tours don't break even, but even those advances are recoupable from sales (and don't think Noel has a deal that would have that as an option). You can't play every day, so even with sell outs you make about 600k a week, and then pay crew, band, hotels, transport... Makes a lot of sense. Now, the question.....if many tours don't break even, and nobody but the record companies are making money off of recorded music, how do artists make any money? Merch?

Does that take into account?: Subtract 50% for the venue Subtract $____ for travel and hotel Subtract <5% for the opening act Add $____ for merchandise Don't the venues sell the tickets? If so, then the artists wouldn't pay a fee to the venue. They are being hired BY the venue. All others are NOT accounted for. That's the gross, not the net.

Doesn't Liam's album come out this week? Nobody is talking about it at all. It's like this was planned. Next week for Liam. Right you are!

What would be way more surprising is if he didn't sell out a UK tour. It's Liam Gallagher, FFS. Well 'Liam Gallagher's' band Beady eye couldn't sell out even smaller venues from what I heard so I don't think it's a stretch to ask the question. I'm the biggest fan ever so of course I'm not questioning it I'm EXTREMELY happy about it and fucking glad because yes he's Liam Gallagher and he bloody should be selling out stadiums in my opinion. I just think it's suprising that he's seeing this much success so early on in his solo career, I wasn't expecting it but I'm so glad about it. Beady Eye was mistimed, in my opinion. Not enough time between Oasis and Beady Eye. The buying public has been without Liam Gallagher for a few years now.

Is anyone else surprised by Liam's success at the moment? Especially when comparing it to Beady Eye I mean, he's playing massive arena's all over UK without even having an album out yet, its pretty amazing. What would be way more surprising is if he didn't sell out a UK tour. It's Liam Gallagher, FFS.

I much preferred it when he would tweet 4/5 times a year rather than 4/5 times a week. And regarding the reunion I'm sure we will get a stadium tour in a few years. Money will be too great to refuse. Just after The Jam and The Smiths.

Nope what? It WAS passive aggressive. It's an intelligent tweet. well, my friend, I think we disagree on the aggression part. He clearly took a shot at how Anais was brought up. Come on, Dude........

Passive Aggressiveness at its best.... Nope. He's allowed to express his disappointment. Otherwise his only option is to stay completely silent. The kid is not obliged to gag himself. I think - considering the familial shitstorm which is his reality - that tweet shows a level of maturity. Seems a good kid. Nope what? It WAS passive aggressive. It's an intelligent tweet.

Passive Aggressiveness at its best.... He must read this forum. He dad could take lessons. Just think of the awesome responses he could've used to Sara's IG post. "Smashed it? With that lisp?"

Liam must have some kind of mental disorder. I don’t care what Sara said... Liam took it too far. You know how sensitive Noel gets when people talk about his wife or children too. Liam easily killed any chance for a reunion any time in the next 5 years with that tweet. Sara killed any chance of a reunion many years ago. And how did Yoko do that, love?
