If we get anything near the DYKWIM rethink I will be a very happy man. 🚁 you'll get the whole BHN rethink in 2027. That would be huge. One can only hope.

Noel has spoken about not liking the mix of MG, so I could see this happening. Stick any remaining demos and interesting session tracks on as extras, Liam sung Step Out, drunk Bonehead's Bank Holiday with Bonehead singing etc. Oasis LP #8 - May 2025 WTSMG? 30th Anniversary Remix / boxset - November 2025 Take my damn money!

MTV Unplugged should definitely have its own release. Not a RSD day release. No need to keep it exclusive.
AND Earls Court 95 and Maine Road 96 should also be released.

MTV Unplugged should definitely have its own release. Not a RSD day release. I can't see MTV Unplugged being released. If the brothers are on good terms Noel wouldn't want to upset Liam with a Liamless Oasis release. And if they ever break up again Liam will probably block the release. But as a bonus disc on WTSMG to compensate for the lack of demos yeah I can see that.

They could just release all the behind the scenes stuff with Liam being drunk so technically he would still be there. He also gives Noel some nice compliments in between some songs 🤓

Omg…. Look what popped up on my Facebook the other day. As you can see by the emoji I picked, I thought he was winding us up. But the track lists match! 😲 webm@ster, do you have the link to the news article from 2008 regarding the outrageous rumours surrounding what would be Dig Out Your Soul? Reading this is giving me flashbacks to those golden nuggets. So many to choose from forum.live4ever.uk.com/thread/47527/doys-feedback

Noel was much happier with people saying his songs were the better ones than he was picking everyone's best tunes and making the best possible Oasis album he could. It was always an issue from 2002 onwards.
Even his choices of his own tunes Vs the b-sides he spunked away were really damaging to the overall quality of the last 3 albums. It didn't matter in 1995 when he's leaving off one banger for another banger but he was seemingly still wanting Oasis to carry that trend of hidden gems going. Only by then it was actually in favour of a much worse song.

New songwriters introduced democracy, and that's never good in a band that used to have a dictator. It's also a bad idea when it's the ex-dictator that picks the songs.
anyway, that era of Oasis was a relief for NG i think, because he kinda had writer's block in the early 00s. but it also made him more confortable so he wasn't that pressured to write songs.
The songs were there after that, given the demos we heard, Noel could easily have filled DBTT and DOYS on his own. HC ? Maybe not.

If we get a new album it needs to be an Abbey Road moment, i.e. doing things properly, in the way they originally did, in the full knowledge that it will probably be the last record (I'm aware the actual history of Abbey Road is more nuanced than this but you get my point).
I like DOYS but it shouldn't be the last Oasis album. It was never intended to be that and it doesn't sound like that.
I don't think they should try to make "MG meets BHN" or anything like that. I'd much prefer them to pursue whatever artistic direction feels right for this particular moment in time. If that's something different to anything we've heard before, I'm fine with that. As long as it's good, and consistently good at that.

I sure hope we don't get to hear of Noel and Liam harmonizing on a song called "Fighting Fat at Midnight", which is the final track here...

Super Deluxe There & Then reissue with complete Earls Court & Maine Road. I disagree on 1996 MTV Unplugged. It should be bonus material... For when they do Part 2 and smash it...
