My biggest concern about a new Oasis album is that after deliberately avoiding the Oasis sound for years, when Noel made an effort to sound like Oasis again the song he came up with was Easy Now, which I hate. It is so cheesy I can feel my arteries hardening as I listen to it. 🧀 Yeah, Noel deliberately writing "Oasis-y" has never worked out great. The first two Oasis records and the High Flying Birds; his best writing comes when he's free to dream things up in an unburdened way. Painting by numbers, you get Heathen Chemistry. Let's hope we get the former if a record occurs. I dunno, HC 2.0 doesn't sound so bad right now. Better than the hack job that would be a democratically-written DOYS 2.0. |

I hate to be a downer, but Noel has always been consistent in his timelines for new material and he was pretty adamant he’s taking rest of year off and would begin demos next year. Recording an album “in secret” with LG seems like wishful thinking among us fans. Aka, I’m losing hope in a new Oasis record coming out any time before 2026. Hope I am DEAD WRONG of course  |

But the track lists match! 😲  , do you have the link to the news article from 2008 regarding the outrageous rumours surrounding what would be Dig Out Your Soul? It's surreal looking at Liam and Noel together, pouring over them like they're photos of ancestors from a hundred years ago. To think it was 15 years without those two being photographed together is mad. Makes you think of the time passed between now and then. Assuming the earliest someone can go to a gig is 16, when Oasis play next year there’ll be no-one in the crowd under 32 who’ll have seen them live before. That shit cray. |

I'm hoping it'd be along the lines of Heathen Chemistry b-side's, a little bit of the deep cuts on Heathen Chemistry and some parts SOTSOG as well as the mystery and vagueness of the DBTT lyrics. So much can come from the band if it were Gem, Noel, Liam and Chris all doing arrangements of their own as well the 3 writing lyrics. I have hope, if anything is real that is.

Bag it Up is a great song, with some smart twists and turns. Noel will probably release a mix of BHN and MG. Something with half heavy guitars, strings and big melodies. That's what people want, its not gonna be DOYS 2, this one was too heavy for some. |

Yeah its a bit downhill after that, but include Boys With the Blues instead of aint got nothing for instance, and it gets much better; I love the melancholic / dreamy second side though Of course it could have been bigger and better with Come on oustide and record machine. But that's Oasis... master of half albums since SOTSOG. |

I genuinely like DOYS from start to finish. Even High Horse & Nature of Reality work in the context of the album. For me, even though I like it, the only track that feels out of place is Ain't Got Nothing.
As has already been said, the first half is absolutely faultless. The run from Bag It Up to I'm Outta Time is tremendous.
