If you'd gone to the bookies and said Liam would sing the the lock all the doors demo on the DM30 arena tour you'd probs of get pretty much evens on odds that oasis would open with snakebite on stadium tour

Oasis should do a tour where they play only/exclusively b-sides and demos all from their back catalogue.
They could call it Oasis: Beside the B-Sides. I’d pay top dollar for that. Seriously.

I hope his latest performances aren't the canary in the coalmine...
The shouting and note cut offs seem to be back for some reason. This one right here may be the best he's sung it in years, albeit stripped back and less noise coming through the monitors.

He just came to the end of a months-long tour, he's obviously gonna sound tired! If his schedule remains entirely clear until July 2025, he'll sound incredible at the Oasis gigs

Since I brought it up here before it happened (and I fully believe that they ended up pushing their announcement back a week so as not to be outshined by Oasis), Linkin Park truly exemplified how to do a band reunion today.
Members of their fan club in Los Angeles were told to come to an event this afternoon, which they announced would be livestreamed. Come 3 PM they're playing a surprise reunion show to hundreds of fans and the entire internet. Played deep cuts and the hits. They dropped a single, announced an album, and a tour which starts next week. Fan club members are the only ones with access to the presale. There is a "Legacy" presale which starts 2 hours before the regular fan club presale which I can only assume is for longtime members.
Oh and their interview with Zane Lowe drops tomorrow.
I'm massively hyped for both reunions, but damn, the difference is stark.

I felt like I was watching iTunes festival clips just from seeing him bounce off the mic so quickly after barking out a line.

This one right here may be the best he's sung it in years, albeit stripped back and less noise coming through the monitors. Liam has gotten good at preserving his voice and settled into something pretty consistent. It doesn't sound like he's forcing those final lines out as much either. If he rests up for the rest of the year and into 2025, he'll be ready to roll for the Oasis gigs.

It doesn't sound as bad as '09 but the cut offs are crud - it's like a motor fully revving up only to shut down immediately.

Okay. Hear me out. The band comes on and play Snakebite as the intro before launching into Hello/Acquiesce Wow, I forgot about this one. Must be years since I last listened to it. Nothing beats Fuckin In The Bushes intro as its become the thing to gee everyone up. But wouldn't it be great for them to revisit this in some capacity. Maybe add lyrics to it. Got the spiky punk edge to it that would fit nicely with Headshrinker, Bring It On Down and Shock of the Lightning. I just lose my mind when the stuff from Close Encounters starts playing. I hope they keep that whatever they walk onto.

They have no choice but to do more PR. If anything it shows how big they are. All they had to do was pose for a photo and say “we’re back” and 14 million people tried to buy tickets.

Sorry for sounding like the corporate guy but you do your communication according to your market position. Oasis being have made headlines in France with nothing as they’re cultural icons, while Linkin Park has to prove they’re somewhat still relevant with a new singer to showcase. No push notifications on my phone for them… When you’re excepected the more you show the more you may disappoint, whereas when no-one expect you you have to create interest. Oasis returning is like Apple announcing a new product with juste a flyer and everone going mad about it.

They have to sell a completely new singer who is replacing a deceased member. You have to do massive PR for that.

Monitoring shouldn't be as big an issue as in the past If we are being realistic, he's been very hit and miss for 20+ years, it is what it is. Ain't too many professions you could have such an inconsistent strike rate and survive!

I've seen him get stick for that Reading performance like it's 09 but at least the tone of his voice is still there, it just sounds like for whatever reason he wasn't putting max effort in, whereas in 09 his voice was just completely shot in pretty much every way.

Nobody uses stage monitors anymore. It’s all gone in ear.
