Crazy that someone suggested all the band members get equal money ! Jesus i wish we went back to dynamic pricing arguments. Same money when Noels written so many of the classics, what a complete joke. The joke's on you I'm afraid as that is how most bands split CONCERT payments, equally amongst official band members. And was for at least the original incarnation of Oasis, why should Liam have been paid any more than Bonehead? The status of Andy and Gem post SOTSOG was a little more murky as others have said. My point was if I was Gem, I might be a little miffed if having been a full band member when the band split up, and written songs on their last albums, I'm now invited back as a touring musician. Especially as it wasn't him who quit the band. I'm not of course talking about song writing royalties which of course Noel gets 100% of for all the songs he wrote.

Coldplay do it 40-20-20-20, with Chris obviously getting the most. Oasis was always much more dominated by Noel/Liam, though. A different beast. I'm pretty sure the 40-20-20-20 is for their songwriting royalties. As far as I know, Coldplay's song royalties go 4 ways, but Martin gets 40%. Oasis never did that, the writer of the song got the royalties. This is a separate issue to who is actually an official band members. I'm sure Coldplay's members get paid equally for actual concerts. All 4 are official equal members of the band. Most bands do this. Liam won't have been making more money from a tour than Bonehead in 1995, they'd have been earning the same as equal official members. But is Oasis right now just Liam and Noel and the rest on a salary next year? - I'm gonna guess it's something like this. It's a lot more business driven now. Back then it was just all in it together, like bands are when they start out. Although Noel was getting the songwriters royalties. Thank you, that's exactly what I was saying.

I'm surprised how quiet it's been since the announcement (ignoring the ticket chaos).
Thought we'd have seen more pictures, maybe a video of the two. An interview maybe. At least some tweets from Liam. Seems like part of the deal to bring Oasis back is that Liam had to stop tweeting 😂
Weirdly quiet to say it's huge news.
Not read much the last few days. Any development with the rumour they're all in France? Wonder if we'll see anything at all from that.

I am not sure if the Asia/South America/Australia/New Zealand dates were on that list that got the exact dates for the UK/Ireland tour?

I get why people are upset, but I am also shocked by what I am seeing. A week ago we were elated to hear that the band was getting back together, and a tour was announced. The boys maintain that they were not aware of the pricing issue, and have been working on stopping scalpers (first time I've ever seen anyone do that, and I'm grateful), but now that they add more dates, and let us know that they are working on something for those affected by the price gauging, people are saying they won't go see them live because adding extra tour dates is an insult. What?! There are no US tour dates yet, and people in the UK or surrounding area able to travel to the UK, are damn lucky so far, you are getting to see Oasis live for the first time in 15 years! For many, the first time ever! Who cares when you get to see them. The US tour may not be until 2026, and yeah that's a downer, but I may get to see Oasis live if I can get tickets before they sell out. And if they do, I can only hope that they would throw on more US dates to accommodate those of us who couldn't get them. The band is in demand, and to fill that demand they are offering more dates. It's not a slight, it's a great gesture by the band to make sure that the fans get what we have been fighting for for 15 years. I'm sorry, I know it's frustrating, and I know many of you are truly upset over this, but I do think that maybe it would be best to take a step back, take a deep breath, and realize where we are in life right now, and remember how lucky we are. The Beatles never got back together. Not all of them, and not for any lengthy amount of time. I personally believed this was highly unlikely for us, but here we are. One week ago this forum was so much fun. There was a lot of great speculation, and now it's just trashing the band without knowing all of the fact, and forgetting what a great time this is supposed to be. The band get back together and we have only one week to enjoy it? That's sad. I cannot wait for aUS tours to be announced and I hope I can snag some tickets. And I am still excited. I completely agree with you, and it's such a bummer to see the public opinion on the internet be so negative after so much high vibe excitement just a week ago. It sucks to see them become scapegoats for this corporate ticketing issue... it's the state of the industry today and they're taking the fall for it. The boys just need to come together and do an interview or even just an online video for the fans, and I think they will soon. It will be much better once we hear from them.

I am not sure if the Asia/South America/Australia/New Zealand dates were on that list that got the exact dates for the UK/Ireland tour? I had a quick look into this as your post made me curious. That initial schedule only had UK/NA and ended with Mexico. The other one looked like someone added the rest or something. Was also making the rounds after the UK shows were confirmed already.

Jesus Christ. No artist is sitting down with a fine tooth comb going through contracts. Is this driven by cash? Almost certainly. Could the band have done better - ultimately is it their responsibility to say no? Yes, it is. However, did Noel and/or Liam actually negotiate the deal? Not one bit. No artist avoids hearing ”dynamic pricing of tickets” mentioned. Because it won't have been Noel and Liam sitting in a room with their promoters or Ticketmaster. It will likely have never been mentioned to them. Doesn't mean it still isn't on the band to decline it, but I'm not sure why you think they were in a room thrashing a deal out.

I guess that depends who are "official members"? Is Oasis now simply Liam and Noel, in the official/legal sense? - If so, then I guess they'd get a bigger cut of the gig appearance dough. I'd be be a bit annoyed that was the case and I was Gem. I'd been an official member, got songs I'd written on an few albums and now I'm not actually an official member but part of the reunion. Same goes for Bonehead I guess as far as back but not an official member. I'm sure they'd still get paid well, I'm just curious if they will be official members, or if just Liam and Noel are Oasis. Weren't Gem and Andy Bell only actually considered touring members during the SOTSOG tour and officially joined after, legally speaking? Doubt they ever had ownership of the band/brand like Noel and Liam. I imagine they were paid employees like e.g. Tommy Thayer and Eric Singer (?). Could be wrong ofc. Sure I am. But being a member of the band =/= owner of the band. I believe Gem and Andy were members officially from post SOTSOG tour onwards. During the SOTSOG tour they were essentially paid touring musicians.

That leaked spreadsheet has been bang on so far, and it would also explain why they're not going back to Wembley until the end of September. That must be one of the latest ever stadium gigs in the UK, too. It'll be getting dark at 7 by then.

Okay. Hear me out. The band comes on and play Snakebite as the intro before launching into Hello/Acquiesce Wow, I forgot about this one. Must be years since I last listened to it. Nothing beats Fuckin In The Bushes intro as its become the thing to gee everyone up. But wouldn't it be great for them to revisit this in some capacity. Maybe add lyrics to it. Got the spiky punk edge to it that would fit nicely with Headshrinker, Bring It On Down and Shock of the Lightning.
