Right, it hasn't been a week since the official announcement It's barely been a week since the really serious rumors! And what a week it's been. Still difficult to believe how far we've come in that time.

Nostalgia aside, I don't know if Alan can hold his own after years of inactivity..
But it would be fucking epic if he and Bonohead played at least one song, like Supersonic, together.

I just can't see Alan coming out for a few songs. It's just not something that a band like Oasis would do.

Oh I hope it’s gonna be him. I don’t like the other option

Hope it’s Whitey, but I’ve got a feeling he’s done that post for attention & to show the Gallagher’s he’s game for it - on the off chance Noel hasn’t already made his mind up that it’s Chris S.

I'd love to see Alan part of this experience but let's be real. It's gonna be Chris and that is perfectly fine. Great drummer and Noel loves him. We really need Andy back. No offense to Russell but he isn't Oasis.

Noel is at the MCFC match. No sign of LG unforunately. I know Liam has said he prefers to stay home to watch matches these days, but I always assumed that he'd been banned from attending due to past bad behavior, and "I'd rather stay home" was just cover. Am I the only one thinking that? Liam watched Manchester derby match in Wembley a year or two ago Why would he be banned? It requires some serious misbehaving to be permanently banned

Still bummed about not getting tickets but at the same time…
The big O are fucking back baby. I’m so happy they’re a band again.

It’ll be almost 100% likely the set list is just DM/WTSMG songs because those are the hits, but I think it would be funny if Noel has to play guitar on one of Liam’s solo songs

Chris is a great drummer and the obvious choice and I'll be fine with him too, but Alan created the Oasis sound for drums. It would be great to see him back but most likely won't happen. No offense to Zak, but no thanks.

Please Alan, don't mess with us, I am dreaming about the reunion squad with him so much Calm down y'all. This doesn't seem to me to be any suggestion at all he's going to be there. Just that since the entire world is talking about Oasis and the 30th anniversary of that album, he's reminding everyone 'hey, I'm the guy who played on that!'. Just wants a bit of attention and recognition. Which I fair enough. I actually think posting this makes it less likely he's there, he'd just be pissing off everyone by spilling info if he was. They parted on very bad terms and haven't spoken since. There's as much chance of him being there as Tony Mccarroll.

I 100% don't want Russell in the group, wont be Oasis if he is.
I know theres rumours of Noel wanting his bandmates but i think everyone would 'presume' its the 2 ex Oasis members (3 actually if you include the keyboardist). But 100% no to Russell
In an ideal world Oasis stay reformed, bring out a new album etc but i can see it a bit like the Stone Roses comeback. Some huge gigs, 'maybe' a single or two but then they end on a high and they both go back to going solo

Whitey , bonehead , Noel, Liam and Russ on bass is the line up .. with guest appearances on tracks. The tour will be based round the first 3 albums , with tracks like Hindu times , Lyla etc played .. plus they will have new music …. Please stop. You don't know anything, you're speculating like everyone else.

I agree BUT its fun to speculate. Its when people post and make out its 100% the truth. Theres a whole year till the gigs, well 10 months but we've got a year of this !
Think it'll be fun hearing the gossip/news/TV appearances and more in the next 10 months. Just never thought it would happen a few weeks back

Call me cynical, but shame on the Gallagher for allowing this ticketing shit to happen. Pure greed and the fact that there’s been no interview or word from either of them tells me that they are not doing this for the fans Agree, I'm going and I'm looking forward to it, but this leaves a very very sour taste. I've already had a couple of mates message me about it, it's just really unnecessary bad PR and affirms in people's eyes that this is all about the money. The band would have had to approve this. It's an option Ticketmaster gices to the performer to choose. And the agents did not choose this without Liam and Noel's approval. Other artists e.g. Robert Smith have explicitly said before they didn't allow this. I think we have to accept it's about the money. We may not want to but come on, if it looks like a duck, walks like a duvk, talks like a duck...does anyone really believe by wome massive coincidence they happened to become best friends just as Noel finalised a huge divorce? Let's not be silly. It doesn't matter if he is still very very rich. He lives in a different world to us. With huge outgoings, and as someone else said, people once they have that wealth don't just accept losing half of it and not try to get as much of it back as they can. How many really rich people do you see going 'you know what, I actually have enough now, maybe I'll work for free'? And let's not downplay that Liam's enthusiasm for years has been very related to the money. He earned far less than Noel, probably spent a lot more than Noel on drugs, divorce, child maintenance etc. Oasis splitting up will have been very tough on him and even after his solo success the money will still be very useful to him. For the level of success he had in the 90s, Liam is nowhere near as wealthy as he should be because of a lot of bad decisions he made. Liam being so quiet, it being so managed, lack of interviews. This isn't a band getting back together to be a band. Sadly. Hell, we haven't even seen a 'band'. A band hasn't been mentioned. Just Noel and Liam. Not that I don't think Noel might enjoy playing to a huge stadium again. Buts that's a secondary benefit and I'm quite sure not his main draw. You don't have as much bad blood between two people as those two and suddenly become best friends overnight. I know some here want to believe that, but lets not be naive.

Now the hard decision. Add more UK dates in June or starting the world tour with new dates?

So far, it sounds a lot like pride and greed. Liam is now a businessman, he's very polished to fork high priced tickets. Noel wants his crown back (and probably half his money gone in the divorce). I'll wait for the real part of the reunion to happen: the one with new music and hopefully smaller gigs. I said in 2020 it would go to shit when Liam started to sell those ridiculous "streaming" tickets to watch his River gig. We are there now, ridiculous prices to see nothing or barely. Just to be there. 4 tears later, Oasis sells 150 quid standing tickets, lower price. Welcome to cash grab. Youtube, a couch, good speakers, and its the same in your house. That'll do for me. for now.

Somehow managed to get a group of us going to Heaton Park.
Mate got 4 in the presale and then we managed to cobble it together - thankfully paid face value.
Obviously, the dynamic pricing thing is a scam and completely out of order. Albeit, not sure why anyone expected anything different (but it would have been nice - and that's on the promoter and artist's reps and artist for signing off on it).
