Okaaaaaay, I think that this could be great. Really hard to tell after first listen.
First impression is that Noel is doing what he does best while trying even harder than before.
I always wanted Noel to push himself as songwriter while staying in style that he does the best and without going into dad's disco territory.

What a beautiful song! I love the melody and Noel's falsetto on the chorus. This is one of his best vocal performances for me

Got SOTSOG vibes by the mellotron/chorus "ahhhs" that kicked in after the first verse. This is gorgeous. Love the accordion solo with the vibes underneath. Also loving that these are not his usual chord choices. It's an elevated version of the "NG and an acoustic" style he does so well.

It's gorgeous. Has that hopeful melancholy we're used to get from Noel's best offers, and the instrumentation is beautiful.
That said, something's missing for me... a melody change, less repetition structure-wise, I don't know yet. Will need a few more listens.

Its nice yes, different to what we’ve heard. Certainly better than Pretty Boy and for me about the same as Easy Now. I like the chords of it and the orchestral arrangements are masterfully done. Melody fits the chords fairly well.
Lyrics are probably the only real flaw, in the sense that they get somewhat repetitive for the middle 50% of the song. Overall I’ll say 7/10 on a first listen.
