Didn't he say an acoustic record is next Updated the first post following the Jo Whiley interview. He said his next album will be an acoustic one. It will be “very sombre”. He didn’t say it explicitly but pretty much said the album was about his break up with Sara: “As you can imagine, it is not uplifting”. “It’s all written.” 3-5 tracks done. One track has the working title of In A Little While. It is “heartbreaking”. As always, it’s one of the best songs he’s ever written, of course. He might play it at soundchecks on the upcoming tour. 1 hr 17 mins 30 seconds into the interview: redirect.viglink.com/?key=71fe2139a887ad501313cd8cce3053c5&subId=1258801&u=https%3A//www.bbc.co.uk/sounds/play/m001j318So sounds like we’ll be getting Noel’s Sea Change next… X Yes. Hopefully fanatics are recording the soundchecks on this tour…

Are we having An acoustic record release not attached to a tour, or maybe small scale like in 2006 ?
Means he could releases it faster than the usual 2 (or 10 years) cycle.
fingers crossed.

I reckon that NGHFB 5 will be released next year. I think with his studio he's on a bit of a recording high.

With 3-5 tracks “done” and the rest of the album “written”, it really shouldn’t take him long to finish and smash out a purely acoustic album. However, there’s always the risk he rebounds with a 21 year old model and loses interest in this divorce record, slipping it away down the back of his sock drawer. 🧦

If there is one thing I learned about Noel Gallagher over the last 20 odd years is nothing is fast or spontaneous. It’ll be another 3 year gap minimum.

I kinda dug the idea of doing a covers album for Record Store Day that he teased 2 years back. I know it’ll likely never happen. Way too many potential projects going on with Noel. He’s done some pretty varied covers thus far recently.
Mind Games (Lennon) Valentine’s Day (Bowie) You Ain’t Going Nowhere (Dylan) Love Will Tear Us Apart (Joy Division)

I need to renovate my house and those fucking banks wont let me borrow a fortune. Wankers.

Well he said himself, everytime he says "I'll do this acoustically, there comes a 12 piece orchestra".
Im personally way more invested in the stadium rock album that would come after the next one but I'm very curious how Noel will approach it being over 60 years old.

Nice long interview here, well worth a listen: live4ever.proboards.com/thread/94137/dave-fanning-interview-on-rte23 songs were done with The Black Keys. Says when he writes with other artists he prefers to put the songs out under their name, as he has enough songs for himself. Says he wrote 3 albums worth of songs during the pandemic: - Traditional HFB songs which became CS - Stripped back acoustic songs - Stadium rock songs 🏜️ 🎹

Couldn’t believe he didn’t ask him more about it or the really obvious O question 🏜️ Noel goes on to savage Liam later in the interview and trots out the “it would take an extraordinary set of circumstances” line again, so keep the reunion champagne on ice for now.

It’s hard to get fired up at this point in time about music that is likely 2-3 years away.

What the hell happen on mastering this record. 1 hr 43 mins in, think you’ll enjoy it… So obviously i had to go straight to that. Maybe next time give it to someone who knows what they are doing ? It probably sounds amazing in lone star studio. Not that much in andymorris B&W home studio (though here i think the mastering is the problem, not that much the mixing, although some levels are pretty weird)
