It's a really nice song but I still prefer We're On Our Way Now because I'm a moody tosser. No - WOOWN is way better - a total classic. This is nice but not amazing by any means. After hearing this a few more times...has no real Staying power for me what so ever. |

There’s a few clever subtle word plays going on there.... that’s pure and classic Noel song writing.
Some geezah a few pages back compared it to the style of Going Nowhere. I already affirmed this opinion, but I’m doing again such is the strength of that comparison - both in sound/style and the written lyrics.

I haven't read the whole thread but I saw a few people saying so but...this brings me right back to the good old days in the 90s and the whole Oasis moment. Reminds me of hearing a WSTMG? b-side after you drove an hour an a half to a random record store in Northern Jersey hoping on hope that they had the Import CD single. Great stuff. And the perfect time of year here in the Northern Hemisphere for this to drop. Hate when great tunes get dropped out into the wrong season. This one fits perfectly and will be played over and over in the sun-drenched backayard. Cheers, Noel.

I haven't really paid a lot of attention to NG's music lately, but I heard this in the Track by track video and I really like it. I like the vibe of it and the lyrics aren't even that dumb.

Gave this a 6 when it first came out, now it's a solid 8. Great tune, and very happy to hear such a melodic song coming from Noel's pen again. Great tune.

Great song, The Style Council (more than Supremes) meets Burt Bacharah. Time will tell but maybe in NGHFB top 5 So Spotify says this is the song I listened to the most in 2021, so I may as well upgrade it to 10 and confirm it is indeed in my NGHFB top 5 Btw, Not Over Yet also made my Spotify top 10 |
